JonBenet's Skull Fractures: The Weapon

  • #421
I just measured my D-cell Mag-lite. The main tube is 1.550 inches in diameter. The larger light housing is 2.235 inches in diameter. Is this consistent with causing a head wound that's 7x4 inches?

to be honest it goes look like that could have caused it. It is big and open at one end and then narrow and closed to the other end of the wound.

Thanks. So it's possibly the weapon used to cause the head injury.

I take it that the Mag-Lite belonged to the Ramsey family. If so why would a family member wipe fingerprints off of the batteries? Their fingerprints would be expected to be on them. Were the batteries in fact "wiped" of any fingerprints or were there simply no identifiable prints on them?

I have no scientific proof but just looking at it, It has that shape.. A skinny long wound with a bigger opening at the end. I will have to see if I can get better measurements.

I do not know. I know they are not unique flashlights and really good ones. I will have to see about the flashlight and what more I can find out from a good reliable source.

Yes, see what you can find out about that Mag=Lite. Either it belonged in the house or an intruder left it there. Wiped for prints is not the same as not finding usable prints.

tricia was in the forum earlier... maybe she thought the other thread mimicked what we were discussing in here and merged them?

So Are you saying that the head strike could have been possibly accidental? That she could have fallen and hit her head? Or that she was thrown and hit her head? I'm curious, really.

Scarlett, I don't know who this post was addressed to originally, but I'll give it a shot, if that's all right with you.

For my part, it's entirely plausible that she was thrown and hit her head against something rather than being actively struck. Even Henry Lee said it could have happened that way.

I thought this was otg's research thread?

Someone moved my discussion here. Not sure why..

Unless it is to lump all thoughts in together.. I had no interest in being on this thread.

When I look at the wound and the skull I see a skull that was smashed not one that was slammed into something but something that was slammed into it..

Still researching the head wound.

I am looking at other head wounds that are similar.

I will post what I find..
