What I find interesting is that you(we) (folks that actually knew Janet, Raven) had that as your first thought! :(

Yes, but I don't know it that means that he actually did it-just because we thought he was capable of it. I think, as Mr. A. has said, that based on previous murders of young women where their husbands did kill them, it's a natural conclusion to jump to. A woman dies, you look at the husband or ex-husband. It's sad, but history seems to prove that notion true.

Funny, tho most strangers will jump to that conclusion, but family and friends usually will spend awhile swearing up and down that he's not capable of it. So the fact that you even considered immediately that he was capable is enormous to me.

Would someone explain why it would it be bad for Raven to get out and plead for help? Why would a lawyer want to gag an "innocent" client?

As we all know now, Raven does have internet access, why hasn't he updated his website and posted a memorial for his wife?

He still has more info on his motorcycle, truck, etc. I can't imagine a lawyer gagging someone from creating a page "In Loving Memory"!

The people who will buy the Vehicross are likely to fall into a specific demographic: fit and active young men and women who like being stared at as they drive by. How do we know this? Well, the Vehicross that we drove was a special-edition Ironman model (as in the Triathlon of the same name) that attracted the enthusiastic attention of very fit young men and women. We doubt that many paunchy baby boomers or chain-smoking Gen Xers would be caught dead driving such a serious and sporty off-road vehicle.
......
We think that the Vehicross works in its mission as an image vehicle. Bewildered stares followed us like puppies after a milk bone, and the response we got from the people who had the courage to approach the truck and give it a closer look was enthusiastic.

Anneshirley, when Greta featured this case she interviewed a local reporter and he said that normally he can at least get "off the record" info from sources in LE ... However, in this case he can't even get that. He said that LE has been extremely tight-lipped.
Why? Why? Why? I hope that LE knows something and they are doing their hardest to figure it out. I hope that means that they are keeping an eye on Raven.

I wonder if there are any bathrooms/showers at the soccerfield that Raven was playing at that night. And if there are, have they been scoured for trace?Could Raven have been the first person to show up for the game? What time was the game? I would really appreciate a time of death too.

Me too sweetie ... me too ...
Mr.AGs questions are no longer quiet ... but screaming.

I was introduced to the Vehicross in 1997 during a trip to a car show in Salt Lake City, UT. I them made my way up to an Isuzu dealer in Draper to sit in the Vehicross. A new sales rep was telling me all about the Vehicross and as I listened I imaged one day having enough money to afford this $32,000 vehicle. Shortly after this time I started my journey in the business world, college, marriage, work, and of course, the East Coast. A few months into my marriage I was driving to and from Fredericksburg Academy in Virginia when I thought I saw a Vehicross in their showroom. Out of curiosity I stopped in one day and to my surprise there was a 1999 Ironman Edition sitting on the showroom. I inquired about the VX and the sales manager was ecstatic to hear about my interest in this vehicle. In fact, I could say they were eager to get this car off the lot. They made an offer I could not refuse and so began my journey with the Vehicross. font>

A Durham TV Station may be airing a story related to Janet's murder tonight. That's all I know right now.

For those of us non-ncarolinians, when it gets aired tonight would someone mind posting a transcript link or at least chatting about what is said?
That's wonderful. Perhaps some questions will be answered!

The following quotes can all be found here -- THE PSYCHOPATH - The Mask of Sanity -- Special Research Project of the Quantum Future Group:

SECONDARY PSYCHOPATHS are risk-takers, but are also more likely to be stress-reactive, worriers, and guilt-prone. They expose themselves to more stress than the average person, but they are as vulnerable to stress as the average person. They are daring, adventurous, unconventional people who began playing by their own rules early in life. They are strongly driven by a desire to escape or avoid pain, but are unable to resist temptation. As their anxiety increases toward some forbidden object, so does their attraction to it. They live their lives by the lure of temptation.

CHARISMATIC PSYCHOPATHS are charming, attractive liars. They are usually gifted at some talent or another, and they use it to their advantage in manipulating others. They are usually fast-talkers, and possess an almost demonic ability to persuade others out of everything they own, even their lives.

(still more...)

How Psychopaths View The World

Not only do they covet possessions and power, but they gain special pleasure in usurping and taking from others (a symbolic sibling, for example); what they can plagiarize, swindle, and extort are fruits far sweeter than those they can earn through honest labor. And once having drained what they can from one source, they turn to another to exploit, bleed, and then cast aside; their pleasure in the misfortune of others is unquenchable.

People are used as a means to an end; they are to be subordinated and demeaned so that the antisocial can vindicate themselves...

More from The Mask of Sanity...

The psychopath is filled with greed inside, relating to the world through power, even though, as I said, on the outside he can claim to be on the side of the disenfranchised or the downtrodden. I knew one who liked to repeat phrases such as "they have to stop keeping my brothers down" but he didn't mean a word of it. He was actually a racist. The psychopath can also often identify himself as a revolutionary.

The following can all be read in full context at this site; THE PSYCHOPATH - The Mask of Sanity Special Research Project of the Quantum Future Group:

(W)hen needing to manipulate a female, the psychopath often targets women who are what is often called the "dumb blonde" type, the kind of woman who exudes naivete, often unconscious of her own sexuality, vapid innocence(...)their personalities usually border on the Pollyanish, and they always see a silver lining in every cloud. Not that there is anything essentially wrong with innocence or optimism, but when dealing with a psychopath, that can prove a bad combination. Psychopaths seem to be attracted to this type of woman in particular. She is nurturing and all-giving, while he is closed-off and retentive.

(after reading the following, it might be instructive to review the longer Abaroa Xmas 2003 video)

Psychopaths have a grandiose self-structure which demands "a scornful and detached devaluation of others" [Gacon et al 1992], in order to ward off envy toward the good perceived in people. They react towards perceived or existing attachment capacities with ambivelence and often aggression. According to Meloy, most of them transfer the attachment to "hard objects" such as weapons, knives, [magical practices] etc. The grandiose self is represented onto the weapon or object and is a projection of themselves. This of course is more in depth study of the psychopath. Not all psychopaths have a gun collection or a favourite knife or sword, but a great deal of them do tend to be fond of weapons and such symbols of aggression and dominance. I'm not sure if this is true in all cases, but one psychopath I knew loved swords. He was obsessed with them and loved weapons of all kinds.

Okay, he was just married, very young, a year of college behind him, a job (but how much do they pay a person with his qualifications?), maybe Janet was working too (?). How can you afford a payment on a car that expensive? I know that my husband and I could have never have done that right after we got married. Wonder where he got the money from?

Sorry guys, still trying to get caught up! Will you slow down?:)

I have a question and I'm not sure if I just missed it in the other thread...How long was Raven at the soccer game that night? Anyone know?? I haven't been able to get a timeline figured out because I'm so busy trying to get caught up on what all you sleuthers have found! You google girls (and guy) are really killing me with all the info you've found...and I thought I was good at this!:waitasec:

I think it would be helpful if we had some kind of timeline for the night Janet was murdered. If this has already been done, can someone point me in the right direction?

Nice to see all of you again....I haven't forgotten about the case, I'm just still trying to read all of your posts!

That's one of those things -- the actual events of the night of her murder are being kept close to the vest by the police... but there may be some guesswork that can be done.

If he was playing or watching an amateur game with two amateur teams that were organized, there may be a website with a game calendar. Point your browsers, googlers, and go.

But we have no idea what soccer game he was watching that night, right? Or is this something that you guys have already figured out as well? And, we don't know even if we find out the time...when he left to go to the game?! I'm getting confused and wish we had a whole case thread where we could keep all of the info in one place...

Haven't we had it said that he played in a game? And was it with a league or was it something he and his friends had organized? I'll check and see who said that he was playing in a game.
