On Saturday, 16 December 2023, around 9.30am, we received a report that a body of a man had been found in the floodplain along the Heusdensch Canal. Investigations revealed that the man died as a result of a crime. After extensive forensic investigation, it was not possible to establish the man's identity. Who is missing someone and/or recognises the man's clothing?
The detectives want to find out the man's identity so that investigations can be made into where he came from and so that his family can be informed. We also want to investigate who is responsible for his death. The body had probably been in the water for some time, making it no longer presentable. The detectives therefore hope that people will recognise the man based on his clothing. Do you recognise him, or are you missing someone in your area? If so, please get in touch.
Description and clothing:
- The man is about 1.60 metres tall
- Short hair
- Believed to be between 20 and 40 years old, however new video states between 35 and 55
- He had bad teeth (new video states that one upper left tooth is rather long)
- New video states that isotopes revealed that the man spent his youth in Eastern Europe (Poland, Bulgaria). During the last period of his life he stayed in North-Western Europe (the Netherlands, Germany).
He was wearing:
- A grey T-shirt with a breast pocket
- Two pairs of black maternity leggings on top of each other
- Black calf warmers
- Black leather trainers with white sole by the brand Puma
