The Perfect Intruder?

You're better than I thought. But you know thats just a lookalike, right?

Of course, Holdon. The real KJ-I would never be seen (much less photographed) in anything but that pajama-looking suit he always wears (and elevator shoes, from what I've heard). But it is an image that kind of stays with you, eh?

I apologize for making light of your theory (I said I was gonna regret it -- that's what I meant.). I try not to do things like that, but you have to admit... It was kinda funny.

Okay, Holdon, to make up for my undeserved swipe, I offer you a free strike-back at me -- a dispensation, if you will to make fun of my theory, and I won't even respond (unless it's funny, in which case I'll have to laugh). Go ahead, I won't even flinch.

Oh, and I apologize to the ladies who had nightmares last night because of my silly posts with him and with Pogo the Clown.

That picture of "him" should be marketed as an effective birth control device. One look at that pic, and no woman's gonna want a man to come NEAR her for a long long long long (lonnnnnngggggg) time!!!!!

You know, Hat. A wee bit ago you kept dangling the MAAM theory in front of us like a carrot on a stick. You actually implied that you had a particular IDI in mind. But when someone would show interest, you'd pull the stick away. You implied it was someone we should all be able to identify. Well, I've run through all the 1996 possibilities...the MAAMs that I should be able to identify...and my list is, in all seriousness:

Don Ho
Mr. Miyagi
Kato

You speak of this "ton" of evidence to indicate there's an IDI behind all this, but you get really quiet or extremely rude when asked to produce. So here...take a shot...quit waving the stick and give us your specifics...name or initials, how you came up with that name, etc...and pile that ton of evidence on our wee widdle heads.

In short, goferit!!!

Don Ho? Wow, that's not one that would have even crossed my mind. You are good!

Far be it from me to pull a punch...oh wait I pull punches all the time.

So what about KJ-IDI? Has to be better than DHDI (Don Ho did it).

You're laughing, but I'm not:

"He recruited attractive young girls of junior high school age to take part in 'Joy Brigades,' whose function was to help in relaxation to his senior officials," said Jerrold Post, a former CIA profiler.

I take it you're not a parent of a young girl of junior high school age, right? Because you seem to take nothing seriously, not even child murder. Maybe your efforts are better spent educating yourself? Take a couple other posters with you please.

ABOUT THIS BOOK
On November 15, 1977, 13 year-old Megumi Yokota disappeared without a trace while on her way home from school. Twenty years later a newspaper revealed she was abducted by North Korean operatives and was still in North Korea. Megumi and at least 13 others were taken from coastal cities in Japan during the 1970s and 80s, shoved into holding cells on spy vessels, and shipped off to North Korea to train agents in Japanese culture and customs.

And neither were the Ramseys. But that aside, did KJ recruit girls from the U.S.? Or do you think girls were being kidnapped from the U.S. and sold in Korea?

When I was ten, the lady who lived next door to my grandma had three kids. The eldest was a boy who was 7, next a girl who was 4, and then a baby who was around six months. It was the day before Easter and she took them all to town and bought new Easter outfits for Church the next morning, waited till the 7 yo was asleep and then proceeded to strangle all three. This was way before the internet, I doubt there's a link, but I will search. Believe me, this is one I will never forget. I had played with the 7 yo as my sister was 6 at the time and I had to be outside with her when shen played with him. Try explaining that to a child. Hey, your friend is dead, his mom strangled him in his sleep last night. Nobody saw this coming, nobody. Who buys new outfits for the next day and kills their kids that night? Oh yes, a deranged mother who was under more stress than anyone could have realized and hid it very well. Actually, we never told my little sister, to this day, she thinks that family moved away.

Do you know what their name was? What was the town it happened in? I have a free newspaper archive because of my college so I might be able to find something, if it didn't happen before the internet. I'm interested in reading more about it.

Thanks, Eileen. I can't remember the name of the family, but it was huge news in a very small town. The newspaper would have been the "The Roane County News". This was in the tri-city area of Tennessee, Rockwood/Kingston/Harriman. The crime actually happened in Rockwood, TN in or around 1970.
TIA!
Becky
BTW, I just asked my grandmother if she remembered the family's name, but she's 92 and remembers a lot of things, but not that, doggone it! This was the first time in my life that I had ever heard of a mother killing her child, much less three of them and I had nightmares for quite awhile.

I think I can sum that story up in one word.

Urgh!

The name of the street was Kingston Avenue in Rockwood TN. I didn't live there, I lived here in Georgia, but we were there almost every weekend visiting my grandmother. I could be off on the year. It had to be between 1970-1972. I remember that we didn't go that weekend because it was Easter and my sisters and I were in an Easter play at church. Thanks for helping. I will see if I can find out more from family members who still live in the Tri-CIties.

I didn't have any luck. Our school's newspaper archives only go back to 1980, and I didn't pull up anything doing regular searches either. That frustrates me. Three kids killed by their mother should not disappear into nothingness!!!
