the poll, a bit slanted doncha think.

I do not think that Patsy did it, at this point. It cant be proven so far. I too wanted to respond to the poll but didnt feel that the phrasing of the polls made that possible.

I would love (like everyone) to see this case solved no matter who it turns out to be.

if one thinks that patsy is guilty the poll is an excellent one. I would like to know how many that thought it was an intuder think the poll excellent?
DaTeacher
Intruder, No, John- Yes, but that wasn't how it was worded. I still think it was an excellent poll.

The three choices from poll #1 are: PR, someone PR knew, or a stranger.

I suppose this could be interpreted as: PR, someone PR knew, or someone PR didn't know.

The criteria that the killer be someone PR knew or did not know can be applied equally to the other members of the household. IOW there's no more significance to PR knowing or not knowing the perp than JR knowing or not knowing the perp. Or JBR knowing or not knowing the perp.

Not only is there a rather dubious, vague line between 'someone PR knew' and 'stranger', there is yet another possibility: someone JR knew, but was a stranger to PR. This choice wasn't included in the seemingly 'all-inclusive' poll.

I noticed the same things, HoldOntoYourHat. And the next day I said I'd want to change my answer, but today guess I'd leave my first answer intact if those were the only possible answers.

JBR had said there was going to be another Santa visit after Christmas, so there had been contact, but she didn't necessarily know the name, and she didn't necessarily eat pineapple with him.

I always wondered if she wasnt talking about getting to have another xmas up in MI.

Based on all of the evidence that has been presented to us, I feel very strongly that PR killed JB and that JR assisted in the cover up. To me, it seems like the most logical conclusion considering ALL of the evidence. However, I agree wholeheartedly that the poll is biased. If the pollster is interested in getting an unbiased perspective on the public's opinion of this case, this poll is not going to do it. Is there such thing as pollster school? If so, the person/group that created this poll needs to enroll.

My thoughts exactly.

I have to agree with DaTeacher. The poll was for the seriously anti-Patsy. I just don't believe she has anything to do with it.

The poll or the murder of her daughter. :D

Well, neither one, come to think of it.

How would you fairly write it? I'd do this:

who do you think killed JBR?
1-PR
2-JR
3-BR
4-someone the R's are covering for (for whatever reason)
5-unknown intruder
6-PR and JR both

With the exception of option #3, these are the choices I would have presented.

Yes but if I remember right and I did it a few days ago. Was there not a starting question if you feel ________ then answer the next questions if you didn't it goes a different direction? I thought it was good. I guess if you publish the mag you get to write the questions:doh: All the same I thought it was excellent and was happy to provide my opinion:clap:
Not enough choices. I thought the poll was biased.

I put in no. 3 in the remote event it was JAR.I know he had an alibi, but some have q'd it.

Did we ever find out what magazine it is? Maybe I just missed it.

I realize it would have been cumbersome to try to list all possible suspects on who might have murdered JB. My thoughts were at least to put in a few a,b,c....options,but at the end of the list put in "other",with a short blank area for pollsters to but in their own suspect.

When do we get to know who the publication is??? Please, please, please...

Yeah! I want to know so I can read it when it comes out!

I too think the poll was biased. I do think that JR should have been included as a choice in question 1. I also think question 5 should have had a 3rd choice to cover a 2nd degree murder scenario (not preplanned but not accidental either).

Why exclude Burke, doesn't it make most sense to include everyone that was known to be in the house that night?
Siblings can and do kill each other.

You can't say the poll is biased unless you know what the poll is designed to find out. It may not be that the pollster is trying to find out who killed JB in the opinion of a majority of respondants. It may be instead that they really want to link some of the sub questions with the belief that PR did it.

IOW, they may not be interested in respondants who said and intruder did it, or BDI, etc.

I don't know what questions were asked of those who had an IDI answer, as I didn't answer that way.
