do you smell the gas inside or outside the vehicle. GM plastic fuel lines have a tendency to crack and not show their face unless you have all the engine covers off, the engine running, and you bend the hoses so as to expose a crack. That will lead to a slight gasoline odor. Also you could have a bad Evaporative emissions canister or canister purge solenoid. That would also lead to your problem... Are they checking it for free or are you paying diag??? If I was getting paid diag I would sure as hell find it so I could get paid for doing the job too, but some people are lazy and live on diag money. My techs wont be doing that I assure you... As far as the As go I cant tell. Pretty stone face if you ask me.
Thanks, I will have them check the hoses and the canister. I smell it inside and outside and it is worse when I idle for long periods of time. I paid them for the last diagnostic.
