This story gives me such vertigo I didn't even want to post it, but as it's been flashing across my eyes on social media all day - and is now spreading across the world - I thought I'd better share.

A glass-bottomed sky pool.

35 storeys high.

In a multi-billion dollar luxury development in an area of London, England best known previously for bad traffic and a wholesale fruit and veg market and not much else. And even the market complained about being moved there.

The developers of the daft thing (it's not actually built yet) haven't explained what happens when a person has one of those moments when the swim pants or bikini slips underwater and some joker down below snaps a photo and posts it on social media. Or what happens when any passing waterfowl decide to land and break their bodies on the glass top they didn't see. I'm sure we'll eventually find out though.

Flash the cash and book your luxury apartment at the Embassy Gardens, Nine Elms, London now. Just don't forget to bring the around $1million minimum asking price, strong swimsuit fastenings and a touch of exhibitionism with you.
