I wonder, if because his career has been mostly dealing with crimes against children, if he feels the need to be present until verdict. I would assume it's a very emotional job whenever the victim is a child and maybe they get super attached

On that Court chatter interview with Cathy and Holloway he said this was Stoddard's first murder case.

Can someone please fill me in on why cameras are still in the court room and RH is still there? Are they going to sit in an empty court room day after day until verdict???

He has the right to be there during all phases of his trial. Cameras stay to broadcast any jury questions and resulting read back of testimony or possible verdict
