Where did he say he saw Cooper in the rear view mirror?
During his interview with detectives. In post #413 above, it is the first line under the second picture.

Thank you. Totally missed that when I scanned through it the first time.

IMO something to keep in mind is that while DD has practically trademarked "Forgotten Baby Syndrome" and has become the big kahuna in hot car deaths it doesn't mean that every other scientist studying memory is in lock step with him. I think much of DD's research is valid but he's not the only one researching. We saw that with Dr. Brewer, who has a slightly different notion about cues and triggers. Which leaves me scratching my head as to why Kilgore would have scheduled both doctors to provide expert testimony in the first place. And why was Dr. Agharkar scratched too?

It seems like FBS would have been the "catchier" defense as opposed to "he just plain forgot" but that's JMOO.

I think Kilgore in his opening referred to it as a task that had been completed - as in, Cooper was already safely at daycare, because RH normally/most days drove from CFA to work after having already dropped CH off at daycare. I think Brewer's testimony fit that thought process fine (indirect cues wouldn't help as the task was already complete) and the more expensive Diamond testimony probably wasn't needed. At least this is what I think right now as I haven't researched FBS in depth.

So he said he saw Cooper when he looked in his rear view mirror.

How did he back in to the parking space that morning at the Treehouse. He had to either turn his head or use his rearview mirror.

If he saw Cooper after 4:00 on Akers through the rear view mirror, he would have seen Cooper that morning backing into the slot using the rearview mirror.

He doesn't say rear view mirror in the video when he caught a glimpse of what he thought was Cooper, can't play the video right now to give timestamp

Correct, and Leanna testified to it as well - that it was a glance over the shoulder while changing lanes.

If they wanted the doll in the car seat but didn't ask for a tape measure, they're not worried about measurements. They're looking to see if his head was above the back of the seat. Maybe to show how close he was to JRH. This is to malace, IMO. Not good for JRH. Reading tea leaves tho, so who knows.

Something else from Holloway interview with Cathy from Court chatter . The witness who was minor but now not and named in the Indictment is who theses sexting charges are for. The other who was 15 at time, testified but per Holloway believes she is the victim of the other 8 charges.

He didn't say he looked in his rear view mirror. He said he saw Cooper "when I glanced to my right" ( when making the right hand turn). I just rewatched that portion of the interview to be sure.

That may be what he said to the detective but did he say something different to Leanna? It appears he did.

You are right. I just listened to it again. Maybe JerseyGirl can edit the transcript to reflect that.

I missed this somehow. Why would she call the daycare to ask about Cooper? And why didnt she immediately call Ross when they told her he hadnt been there?

She didn't call daycare. She went there to pick him up and was told then Cooper hadn't been there that day. Leanna testified she couldnt absorb that, thought it was a joke, was told again, she walked away...etc.

No. She said the same thing, even turned to the right on the stand to demonstrate.

Ross' laughter yesterday and today and his fist bumping remind me of the type of criminal who wants to feel part of the team. He longs to belong and be part of an authority group but can't quite cut the muster. This is the type of person who is often narcissistic - feels they're superior and deserve accolades but has a deep, underlying insecurity that they're not. And is typically mediocre in intelligence and ability yet is never getting the respect and positions they feel they are owed.
He may actually be enjoying some of this. Feeling important. And feeling that he's one of the guys.

I have had some weird clients. I instruct them sternly to never giggle, laugh or act casually in court. (All my trials are bench trials except one incredible jury trial, but either way...). Court is a serious process and I want to make sure that they are observed always taking it seriously. They can smile after orders are issued.

BBM. I have no doubt about that. I've felt from the beginning that he enjoys the idea of people paying attention to him, arguing or talking about him, generally being the center of attention (as always). I've had the distinct impression that he feeds off of the attention of others which is why he keeps making a show of himself. I don't know if it's because he's a narcissist or not (good possibility he is) but either way it never ceases to amaze me how many people he has duped and he continues duping.

If I had left a child in the car, I would want to be punished. The last thing I would think about is myself or my feelings or what people thought of me. I would think the worst of myself. I would hate myself before anyone would have a chance to. People on the witness stand insist that JRH loved Cooper. How can he pretend to love Cooper when he's made everything about himself?

That's why I was asking. I was just list Bing to the actual video interview and didn't hear him say anything about rear view mirror

Harris says Cooper woke up at 5:15 that morning, but when the boy fell back asleep, Harris put him back in his room. Harris said the two were running late, so he decided to go to Chick-fil-A.

I must be an idiot because I'll never understand this part... was it a planned daddy and son breakfast to enjoy or a running late so grab fast food. One means inside and the other, imo, would be drive thru.

I went back and listened to LE’s interview with Ross and Ross doesn’t say he caught a glimpse of Cooper in his mirror, he almost said it but didn’t. I watched it on You Tube and it’s roughly at the 37:35 mark.

He said: As I was driving down Akers Mill I caught aglimpse of him in my, ..... when I looked to my right to change lanes, I caught aglimpse of him in the back and thought I was seeing things etc…….

I think if I tried to back into a parking spot without looking over my shoulder even briefly my parking wouldn't ever be straight. I back into spots all the time, and I always look over my shoulder and also use all 3 mirrors.

Do you (or anyone) know which intersection he was turning right onto? Early on I also read that he was changing lanes when he looked back and saw Cooper. It's confusing. I've been so focused on his drive to work that I haven't paid much attention to his drive after work.
