The Single Piece of Henkel Duct Tape Found NOT on Remains

  • #101
This is what is known about Q104 (Q100)

1) Henkel duct tape- Q104 ( Q100) was found with pink words (Q99) from shirt (‘packages’ and ‘in’ ) Page 80- http://www.wftv.com/_blank/18740700/detail.html

2) It had what appeared to be animal activity (gnawing chewing ) on one end (#46-48 http://media.myfoxorlando.com/photo...peclothingshovel/1/lg/10259-10268_Page_07.htm ) In the autopsy, several pieces of the skeleton have postmortem animal activity (pg.9) but none mentioned for the skull (pg. 8)

3) red fibers were found on Q104 duct tape (Page 696 of 1405) ; no red fibers were found on Q62-64 (Page 621 out of 1405) or in the hair mass ( page 604 out of 1405) However, both Q104 and Q62-64 had blue fibers on them (same pages) http://www.wftv.com/news/21185313/detail.html#

Note: (FWIW the Winnie the Pooh blanket was blue) (pg. 7) (Q82)

4) Q104 had Caucasian fringe hair ( very fine, light brown) (Page 696 of 1405) http://www.wftv.com/news/21185313/detail.html# no fringe hairs were found on Q62-64 (Page 621 out of 1405)

FBI defines fringe hair as:
Fringe Hairs
Hairs originating from areas of the body outside those specifically designated as head or pubic are generally not suitable for significant comparison purposes. These hairs might originate from the neck, sideburns, abdomen, upper leg, and back.

Other Body Area Hairs
Axillary (underarm) hairs, chest hairs, eye hairs, and nose hairs are not routinely compared. As with limb hairs and fringe hairs, their presence may help to corroborate information obtained during an investigation.

5) Q62-64 had Caucasian origin head hair (several) approximately 3”, brown and light brown, apparent decomp root and no root (broken) –like Q59 hairs (Page 621 out of 1405); whereas Q104 (Q100) did not have any head hair attached to it (Page 696 of 1405) http://www.wftv.com/news/21185313/detail.html#

Wow. Refreshing myself on this thread, and applying what we're seeing over on the "Stain in Trunk" thread... well, I at least am firmly convinced that her hands were bound (still on the fence as to whether in front of her or behind her back).

What's more, since the revelation of the duct tape on the skull, I'd assumed that that was the ONLY reason the SA put the death penalty back on the table.

Now, I think Q104 also had a lot to do with that decision.

By no means saying I believe there is any chance a jury would buy the ZFG stole the tape thing - but just felt compelled to point out that the possibility that the A's had more than one roll of this unique tape purchased at the same time from the same place - making it possible for one roll (or more) to be stolen and one roll (or more) to be at the A's when GA was using it to hang posters.

(When I buy duct tape I almost always buy several rolls at a time - one for the tool shed, one for the house, one for the car, and one for the truck. I rarely run out at the same time and keep the extras in the tool shed until I need them in the various places. And while I don't think I have ever purchased this unique Henkel tape, I can't say that I never have as I really wouldn't have known the difference and if it was in a display that I happened to walk by when I needed duct tape then I could have picked it up not realizing it wasn't just plain old duct tape. I never noticed any difference in duct tape until I recently used some for the first time that I purchased about 2 years ago that was about as strong as plumbers tape! Before that, I thought all gray tape was the same old duct tape - I do look a little closer now.)

Except the duct tape is very rare and not really distributed locally through hardware outlets. The company where George worked as a security guard had the Henkle tape on hand and I believe this may be where the tape came from.

Thank you for bumping this thread ynotdivein.
IMO I believe that piece of tape held Caylee's little arms and hands together somehow.

As do I. I think that baby's hands were bound with this piece. DP for KC.

Somehow I missed this piece of tape until now. Thank you for bumping this up.

Q104 Tape had red fibers like the letters of the tee shirt near the tummy area. Am I understanding this correctly? This is another piece of the puzzle then.

Thank You for bumping this thread until I finally got it. Huge if the State can prove Caylee's arms were bound, I say. I've studied the trunk stain, and thought her arms were bound behind her back.

This got me thinking back to 12/11/09 the Hearing where JA talked about Caylee being chemically or physically restrained.

Seems like there'd also be a piece for the ankles. Why stage a scene to tape the mouth, hands, but leave legs free to kick and damage the interior of the trunk. She'd know that. If there was a carjacking plot, she'd have thought that out even more. I'm just assuming chemical restraint and any physical restraint of hands or ankles to be staging.
