I really don't remember. Wow, it feels like opening statements were a million years ago, but it wasn't.

I rest my case! If us viewers can't remember what was said in opening statements and ALL the jury can see is the unfolding trial in it's chronology, then some actually could forget that in fact it's been admitted she commited this crime (esp after so many different stories and denials of guilt from her).

Are the openings online anywhere? I'd love to see them during this hiatus.

My post should have been clearer. I was commenting on the difference in the way she has looked on prior days. She just doesn't look so witchy to me. I have the same image in my mind I am sure. jmo

she looked yesterday more like the "jodi" in all the interviews... I think it was because she took the glasses off so much.

(bad move as I think the DT could be using the glasses so she DOESN'T look like the same "jodi" in the interviews that were played)

I totally agree. The ME was unable to verify that the bullet hit his brain d/t deterioration, so he offered that it very well may have. I think it went thru above the right eyebrow, affecting his right eye, thru his sinuses and into the left cheek. I do believe he made it out of the shower disoriented and to the sink where she began stabbing him in the back because she couldn't get the gun to work for whatever reasons. I am not sure whether the jury will really care or not whether the knife or gun came first in the end if they decide it flat out wasn't self defense, but the prosecution and defense sure do in regards to the DP and self defense claim.

seems to me self defense doesn't fly no matter when the wounds occurred. let's say she shot him in the head after he attacked her---that's the first wound.

ok, now he's disabled enough she can RUN AWAY from the 'threat.' the fact that she didn't tells me this is clearly not self defense and her whole (3rd) story is another bunch of lies.

I remember reading on one if the threads here that the T-Shirt ('Travis Alexander's') was really a 'promotional' item and the back had additional wording relating to his motivational workshops. I am dreading the defense's DV expert and the t shirt has been mentioned as part of TA's cruel treatment of JA. If we heard about the true meaning of the shirt I can only hope the PA has this covered.

Either the jurors "get" the overwhelming evidence put forth or they won't.

Seems to me many jurors suspended all logic, common sense and reasonable deduction abilities when they take that oath.

Juan Martinez is a seasoned prosecutor and has tried MANY high profile cases (including the weird sleepwalker killing case that was aired on CTV). I trust his ability to pick a good jury. More men on this jury which I think is a good thing. But the ladies...oh they are gonna bring this home. "Mark my words". I watched them intently.

Hope your right. I thought women would be able to see what's lacking and right through her far better than men.

I have to say one thing I wish Martinez had done differently at the end of his case is with that last witness (Udy, Jodi's friend), instead of showing her naked photos of Jodi and asking "do you know this person?", I wish he'd shown her crime scene photos asking "is the Jodi you know capable of slashing someone she's loves throat like that?".

So what she's naked in a photo...that says a whole lot less than showing her KNOWN "handiwork" to her "friend".

Just wish he'd done that instead.

Lets hope not. IMO it's too early to panic about a verdict based on a few questions. This case isn't over yet. MOO of course.

IMO during the states case they shouldn't be thinking ...hmmmm. Are you sure sone other dude didn't do this? Did LE look at other options? Not enough forensics ? Seriously? Those questions ....man oh man....I do hope I'm wrong!

I just know the movie "Fatal Attraction" had a huge impact on men, instilling panic about dating and who they get involved with. I think they could easily go to "damn that could have happened to me" and relate to Travis. Just my hunch.

IS showing reruns of evidence photos. Hope they haven't shown photos Jodi took yet, cause I want to see the pic of him sitting in the shower. PA using black pen as pointer now but can see writing on pen and clip, so hoping to see this seated pic better. Pics online most likely 'screen shots' and not from originals.

I hope so too. I wonder if it was just a simple question to address were all people in the house ruled out thru the investigation. Meaning did LE just focus on Jodi. Perhaps a simple clarification.

I'm sure there are people just like you on the jury and they will steer the confused ones home. I have total confidence in this case, Martinez and this jury.

You are so right.. A stab to the heart or shot to the head and she can take her things and walk (not even run) out the door, no problem. The defense has still to explain the other 26 stab wounds and a slit throat. The poor, abused woman snaps. Yet there is no proven abuse taking place. Rejection doesn't qualify. I hope the jury gets it right. My faith in the common man/woman's ability to think clearly and rationally in this day and age has been greatly diminished since Tot Mom walked free.

I think she's a textbook sociopath which is with "morbid curiosity" that I watch her. I first saw this chick on the 48 Hrs episode and honestly I rewound that show and watched the entire thing over again to just watch her spin her spin.

The question I keep asking is if the defense can put on a (preposterous) theory and offer expert opinions on the "abuse" and "self defense" , why can't the State put up their own expert to explain to the jury the elements of sociopathy and lay it all out for them from that angle? I don't think I've ever seen that in court. I'd love to see it. In fact, I could pick just the expert to do it (Candace De Long).

I would love to see that happen too Katie or an abuse expert of their own laying out the red flags showing Travis was actually the DV victim and she the abuser.

Like I said earlier I have read that Martinez is really at the top of his game when he is cross examining during the defense CIC. So I suspect he will take their DV expert and ask her many hypotheticals that will show that Travis was really the one being abused and JA was the abuser.....stalker ..obsesssive.....overkill monster.
