I have thought about the subject... of course she says she ran out of there as fast as she could and drove until she was in the desert... but the more I think about it... and after watching the 48 Hour show... and seeing her interrogation... of course if it were one of us.. we would be out of our mind with panic... but the way she has behaved the entire time... I'm beginning to think she didn't panic at all... nor would she be in a hurry.. In her warped, twisted mind, she was probably relieved and 'needing a cigarette' herself... so it is plausible to think she did hang around for a while after she slaughtered him. The thought sends chills up my spine... maybe because no matter how hard I try.. I can't think like a psychopath.

She had to do at least one load of laundry while still in the house and clean herself up...I mean I don't see her walking out of that house to her car covered in blood. All of that does NOT indicate someone operating in panic mode. I just wonder how long she actually did linger there with poor Travis' dead body. :(

I think I see it now.. That's her backside and she is towering over him and he's covering his face?? That's not a foot though right ?

It's her foot in a dark colored sock, it's the bottom of her sweatpants too. Look for the seam at the bottom.

I think in her statement she said he tied her to the bed. It's a sleigh bed. There is nothing to tie the rope to. Did she not realize that???? jmo

Good catch! I have a sleigh bed too and I know for a fact there's nothing to tie yourself too...not that I've, ahem, tried. ;)

The problem with that is the timing. The pics are time stamped around 5:30, and that's before she had stuffed him in the shower and cleaned him off, did a lousy clean up of the sight and the roommate comes home between 6 and 6:30.
Wuda had to be a short smoke. lol

naked photos
TA's text messages
TA's friends in 48 Hours interview

That was the day she murdered him though.
How do we know she wasnt there with him using his phone to text her while he was out of the room at times?
His friends at that time would assume they had been having a relationship due to her being there on June 4th but I havent seen any evidence that they had been seeing each other since she moved.

Didnt she move to CA in April 2008?

Where did you find that? Is there more? Omg... Yes he was pizzzzed and rightfully so!! Wow.. I hadnt seen that...

Did that text come out in the trial? If not, maybe it's being saved for the rebuttal which in reality is the main State's case.

What about the email that Travis showed one of his friends who described it as "harsh"? Was this text that? Or another email? Has that been released anywhere?

You're welcome!

I am not seeing a doggie door either! :waitasec:

Doggie door could have been one of those inserts that slides into the track of sliding doors and had been removed when everyone moved out.

I only see the sliding glass door going into the back yard, unless there is a door on one side of the house going outside from the garage.

MOO

She is to the side of him and yes that is her foot......looks like she has black shoes on. Travis's arm is up so she is probably starting to drag him. You can see the blood draining from his neck wound.

IMO

In my analysis of Beth Karas' analysis this morning, she said she thought in that photo, Jodi was turning Travis body around at the end of the hallway in order to drag him back. :(

Hello-I've been reading for days and just registered. So many astute minds on this site. I'm fascinated with this case - it shocks me to my core and Like several of you I am wondering how such a monster like JA can come to be? Was she BORN a psychopath? or CREATED ?

I'm glad others are starting to add to the discussion. I remember how hard it was for me to post the first time... I've been reading since the very first day of the trial. Now I'm addicted. I have to check this every chance I get to see what everyone is talking about. Glad you jumped in!

Nature vs Nurture... Born or Created...Dont know if those mysteries will ever be solved. Seem to be more and more now days... or maybe it's just with instant media we are made aware of how common it seems to be these days.
Welcome!!

Excellent post! It's like she wanted to BE him.

This is incredibly perceptive, and she has, actually, co-opted his life. Unfortunately, his life has become inextricably entwined with hers forever, and she gets to air her story of what went on in the relationship but not his---well some of his friends know his side and are willing to talk about it.

What I am wondering about and I know you guys have opinions on this (paging Lady Edith as well) is what happens to the obsession once her "stalkee" is dead?

I mean all that energy--where does it go? Is there some kind of twisted grieving process for these stalkers? What happens with all of that? Does she miss it? Him? Thoughts?

Great question. If the police had not needed to get her into custody quickly it would have been interesting to watch and wait a little more to see what her next moves would be--my guess is that if they went along with the ruse that it was someone else she would have maneuvered herself into the "poor widow" role, which is the one she volunteered for by calling Det. Flores.

If someone has good information on this I hope they chime in (i.e., what would she do since she destroyed her target)

I don't think they ever get any happiness from it. They just move on to someone else.

This sounds plausible.

She did do that creepy TA tribute on (his/her?) fb page. That and the entries in her diary where she's talking about naming her first son "Alexander". I'm not sure she's capable of grief per say, but I think her obsession hasn't diminished. If she would have had the chance to play the victim, she would have done it for the rest of her life. She would have ridden on his coat tails until the very end.

Very sick woman.

I agree with this.

Snipped:

I think if you look into how his friends and associates describe Travis he is far from what you are describing. Travis' problem was that he had money, a home, traveled extensively, nice car, everything JA wanted. According to friends they felt JA was his first sexual encounter and she was the one not respecting what he told her were his boundries. I believe JA felt if she could get him sexually she could keep him. TA had many friends and deep friendships and relationships. He would have dinner every Sunday with friends he felt like family with. So you are right, this does not seem to be the case with Travis. He got sucked into a false sense of security with her until he realized what she was really like. jmo

I agree totally.

Swampmama,
The washing would not have been done at the same time as the shower. There were aprox 4 hours between the icky pics and his shower.
Also, in a larger home, many times there are multiple water heaters provided for this very reason.
I just don't think there is ANY way she had time to do both loads AFTER the murder knowing the time stamps on the pics, and the time when T's renter arrived home.
She would have wanted to get out of dodge, and it takes maybe 5 min to throw the clothes and in the washer, push start, and go on to her busy day of ditching evidence, setting up alibies, and hacking T's voice mail - then driving on to the next "con".

Don't forget tossing in the BLEACH. (not that it takes any time really I just wanted to highlight that coverup aspect)

It doesnt show all rooms from every angle though.

imo

Ours is on the side of the house and its located in the laundry room. I never had a dog small enough to use it. It came with the house.

Look at Dahmer's parents and I'd say nature. Look at Jackie Peterson and I'd say nurture.

Didn't I read somewhere that the roommate was late getting home that day due to a bus running late? I think I remember him saying his running late was the only thing that kept him from walking into what had happened. I could be wrong tho....

She is truly bizarre and so creepy.

Didnt she say when the Ningas had Travis he told her not to forget her clothes in the closet? Or do I have that part mixed up. Maybe he tried to make another stand and she had left some clothes behind and he told her to get everything she owned and leave for good this time?

IMO

Jodi Arias has even managed to taint the reputation of doggie doors. I think the Humane Society should sue her. Take THAT for "humane" Jodi.

Yes Lacey,
I believe he normally got home about 6, but was slightly later that day.

That shouldnt come off...her hair was dyed. I dont think that is what he was trying to erase. I think he wanted her scent gone from his sheets period.

Permanent hair color wouldn't rub off onto sheets (unless the rinsing and conditioning phase wasn't done correctly), but the temp hair color like I tried a long time ago definitely rubbed off on my pillowcase. I suppose because it's not rinsed out, but washes out on the next shampoo.

I don't know about the semi-permanent hair dyes that last longer. Maybe?

But I totally agree--very likely he wanted every trace of her gone from his apartment...and life.
