Casey Anthony just had two of the charges for lying thrown out. She wins again.
Will justice ever prevail for ANYONE? Says a lot about Florida.
Yeah, but 2 convictions still remain, she's still a convicted liar!!!:jail:

Don't know if I ever saw this on a post. A lot of truck stops not only have restrooms, they have showers. Jodi may have stopped at a truck stop to shower and color her hair. May have worn a cap in to cover the blonde and when she walked out, no one thought it strange that her hair color was different. LE should check out security video of the truck stops on the route she took.
There are several along I5, the shortest route along the state...

Thank you miss krissy! I got the heebee jeebees when I read the part saying something happened to her at age 7, and then saw a post about Nancy Grace saying the babysitter said something happened when JA was seven!

I don't know when that came out on the NG show or if that was generally known before, but the whole description of Jodi was so interesting!

PINSKY: Baseball bat. And she was how old at the time?

HAWKINS: She was probably five, six years old at the time.

PINSKY: OK. Just a reminder, we can`t independently confirm nor refute what is being said here, but let me ask another couple quick questions about this. Did Jodi, the child, then apologize or seem contrite?

HAWKINS: No, absolutely not. In fact, when I asked her, Jodi, did you hit your brother, she`s like, no, I don`t know why he`s crying.

PINSKY: Wendy Walsh, warning sign or do you think this is just child play, so to speak?

WENDY WALSH, PH.D., PSYCHOLOGIST: I think this is very developmentally normal. I think that it`s really hard to judge somebody`s personality type, first of all, by -- at the age of 5 years old because they`re all dimpled, curly lunatics at that age. They -- and I think even looking at a slice of it is very hard.

Although I would say that if there`s violence and aggression, I`m wondering, was it something that was a learned behavior? Was -- do you happen to know --

PINSKY: Right.

WALSH: -- whether there was some corporal punishment happening in the house?

PINSKY: Beth?

HAWKINS: Well, you know, I can`t say that I ever saw any type of corporal punishment between the parents and Jodi and/or Carl. What I can say is that just about every occasion that I babysat, I pretty much couldn`t leave the two of them alone. I mean, if they were in the living room and I was in the kitchen or vice versa or they were in their bedroom, there was always an incident.

I mean, there were times I felt like I couldn`t even go to the bathroom without some sort of incident going on.

PINSKY: Lisa, go ahead.

BLOOM: So I have a question. I think it is pretty normal for kids to bang each other over the head, brothers and sisters. But what about afterwards? Did she show any empathy? Did she feel bad that her little brother had been hurt by her?

HAWKINS: You know, I don`t think so. I was a young woman at the time, I was 14, 15 years old when I babysat for them, and, you know, just growing up and I was (INAUDIBLE) them to my family, and when incidents like that happened in our group, there was always some kind of, you know, sort of regret or something, and I never really saw that in her.

Not the same video I saw earlier but is the same name for boyfriend who will say that Jodi had bruising on her neck allegedly from Travis

If she actually HAD bruising, it was probably from some BDSM, not an angry Travis. IMO, Travis had red marks on his neck in the shower pics that could have been from something similar.

Jodi may have tried to LIE and say that the bruising was from being abused, but I call BS on that.

I don't know about the rest of you... but ANYTHING anyone "SAYS" about JA just won't be good enough for me. Now if there are pictures.. ok.. I'm willing to listen to what he has to say. If there are no pictures of bruises or broken finger... fugetaboutit!

Pictures of crime scene and victim trumps what someone says they thought they 'saw'. Moo

We have them here, too, but not the women. I would think if she were on death row she would not be doing that. I could just see her removing her clothes....because she's too hot. lol

Right on....no field work for DR inmates.

I think this is just the guilt phase and I think the penalty phase comes after the verdict. jmo

You are right. The jury is not to even think about the sentencing phase at this juncture. They are to concentrate on the guilt phase and render a verdict based on the evidence entered. Then they will listen to the aggravating factors and mitgating factors in the sentencing phase.

Frankly I look at it this way from looking at so many prior cases over the years. If this crime had been done by a male and the victim was a female he would receive death. So I think JA deserves the same treatment.

However I highly doubt she will get death because she happens to be a young white female.

IMO

Who is "the boss"?

Hi Curious.=,
No offense to Springsteen - lol.
I was referring to Sherriff Joe, because I want a definitive answer on the question of television privileges. I don't think it's beyond Jodi to come up with a new scenario to fit what she has gleaned from various sites covering the case,
This would keep her attorneys from having to make it up without her.

It's hearsay - and it's hearsay from the defendant. I don't see how the judge will allow it (anything is possible of course).

To find the old Forensic Astrology Forum - scroll down this page to the Forum Jump, use that down arrow to find the selection which is listed more towards bottom of the many selections. It was such an interesting forum, but is no longer active. Hope this helps.

Beth has "the boss" on, and I hope they clear up if tv is allowed or not.
I'm so disappointed in Sheriff Joe, I thought he was a tough guy!!! She should never have been allowed to do "Jailhouse Idol". And if it were up to me, she wouldn't have a window, lotion, or a desk!!!:furious::furious::furious:

Surprises me, but I get a sense many of us on here are already discounting the idea she could really get the Death Penalty. Just saying. LWOP would be fine with me, but I really do not want this woman out ever.

Is the judge still considering if this should be a death penalty case or has that already been ruled on? I lost track on that one.......

If I was young and single TA would not have been appealing to me for many reasons. heh-heh there was something of a jerk factor about him for sure from my perspective too. Yes they both used each other and manipulated but JA did it to the EXTREME and kept at it after he was done.

It won't be nice but the truth is if someone did in fact see JA with bruises or injuries they can testify to having seen them and when they saw them. jmo

I just watched "Sheila Labarre" on Discovery ID "her sharp mind and raw sexuality to her advantage her whole life"...Scary woman, she put me in the mind of Jodi..*shiver*

The court finds substantial evidence to support a conviction on a felony murder theory based upon the evidence presented at trial. The court also finds there is substantial evidence to warrant a conviction on both of the charged theories of First Degree Murder based upon the evidence presented at trial.

Regarding JA: an expert on abuse could (and probably will) say that victims become isolated and forfeit friends and family due to their allegiance to the abuser, thus "no friends" (although what does that really matter?). In addition, there is shame associated with abuse, so withdrawal to protect one's secrets might be a telltale sign. But also, who said she was disliked by people at work?
She wasn't around him often enough to have isolated him, and with the social nature of his job and his church, it would've been difficult for her to accomplish this. Also, she did text back one woman on his phone and sabotage things by texting back, "It's cuddle time with Jodi, Good Night!"

even if jodi doesn't watch - her attys are and i am sure they are telling her everything to help her w/ her story

What is the average timeframe before DP is carried out? Something like 20 years? By then, if I'm still here, I'll be like "Who?"
Actually I just read in the last couple of days in the MSM that Arizona may be speeding them up- with just one drug executions, so that also may help California...

Does the same admonition the judge gives to the jurors apply to herself as well?
I can imagine the coverage is deep and wide in that area, and it would definitely be a hardship to avoid it all.

To an earlier post about jurors.
Yes, they are to read the instructions and follow them explicitly. However I believe it would take a robot to bring absolutely no human emotions into the decision, weather or not they be relevant to the facts of the case, and weather or not they are actually voiced. (example - how they feel about T as a person)
Just a case of our human imperfections.
