I've seen that quote before in this case. Did they link it directly to Jodi's brother? I don't remember it being her sibling who said it when I heard about it before.

Yes, he posted it on his FB page.

Yes...I agree with you, that quote was not from me.

Another off-topic, but I'm watching "Deadly Women" and so many of these women remind me of JA...I hope the jury has seen these type of shows so they know "sweet and demure" type of women CAN kill just like JA.

i hope they at least watched criminal minds last week

Don't think that nun from the FCA thread is mod here, so bar is open! Tee hee

I'm bad. I have stayed home with a nasty head cold for two days, but late afternoon I got a burst of energy and took down my Christmas tree. Yes. On Jan. 25.

So I have rewarded my efforts with a glass of wine.

I'll probably be in a coma by 10. And I do not take any cold meds.

But dang, that wine tastes good!

I don't get this channel, but I sure wish I could watch tomorrow night's show about
Sheila Davalloo. She sounds like Jodi.

Scorned: Love Kills

In this particular case, I think NG would kick a** too. She's got Jodi's number!
I've seen her get a little silly defending the wrong people in other cases, but she's been very logical sounding on this case. JMO

ITA. NG gets so full of hearing her own "witticisms" that she often turns me off, but she has been spot-on in this case.

Good for her. I really want to like NG. She has been a crime victim and I think her heart is in the right place. She just spazzes out.

Me too! And I'm normally just horrible at it. But in this case, I felt such a need to reach out personally to these people.

edited to add: the artwork on the poster for this film is absolutely incredible. On the website.

I am an artist as well as a preschool teacher. I was drawn to that poster art IMMEDIATELY. I love it! Trees are a favorite subject of mine. And this image was so poignant with the sawed off trunk. :(

Not that I have ever sold my work or anything....

I just do it for the love of it.

I just can't stand how little actual news content there is. She repeats herself to much. I also wish they would screen the callers better. I want to throw a shoe at my tv every time some idiot calls up and asks an idiotic question. Like... Why don't they just make the suspect take a polygraph? Why can't they retry Casey Anthony? Arrrghhh!

I know! In all of the HLN shows it's that same formula. Repeating the opening montage after each break, rehashing the same evidence, and NG acting like my ex MIL who misunderstands EVERYTHING you say and you have to correct her! :floorlaugh:

Like I said, I WANT to like her.

Seems like that show is produced by a bunch of interns. Almost like a B movie, total cheese. First time I saw NG was visiting Florida in 2008. I thought it was a Parody, coming from Canada I had never seen her before. I still look at her as a "performer", take her for what she is really.

I realize I've been on and off here throughout the whole day. I felt bad when you cried after the documentary, but was glad you took down your tree. Now, you're drinking wine. Sorry, I swear I'm not stalking you. :floorlaugh:

Bwahahahaaaaa! :floorlaugh:

I really usually can only be on in the very early mornings during coffee, then during my lunch break and my toddler class naptime, and then again in the evenings!

Being sick ROCKS! These are my first sick days I have taken in two years.

I am glad you have joined me on my emotional WS roller coaster. Mr. Knot thinks I'm a nutter. Luckily he loves me anyway!

Being a nurse puts you at high risk for being raped because of shifts and parking ramps. A nurse puts herself in a risky situation.

For my job, I went to the homes of criminals. Many DV abusers. Some rapists. I was in neighborhoods that were not desirable. I did not dress provocatively, but 80 year old women get raped as well.

This is the whole underlying rape culture that permeates the world. The woman is there for the taking because.......... Any number of reasons

But realizing the risk, I bet you take whatever precautions are available to you. And of course women get raped without dressing provocatively and without engaging in risky behavior. Do you not think people should just throw caution to the wind and do whatever feels good at the moment, irrespective of the potential consequences to themselves? Well, plenty of people do and some of them end up being crime victims when they could have helped themselves by taking precautions. That doesn't make it any less the criminals fault.

Thinking about this logic in terms of how I try to guide my sons -- by your reasoning, I should counsel them to just have fun and enjoy themselves ...and if they keep hanging out with a girl who slashed their tires and invaded their phone, email and FB, don't let that stand in the way of the thrill of a chaotic dangerous relationship because harm comes to even random victims.

I think that's pretty irresponsible and I don't want my sons to end up like Travis. So instead I teach them the warning signs and counsel them to steer clear of entanglements with certain types of girls. Am I part of the rape culture?

This image is the shower image of Travis Alexander blown up to 30000 pixels, his right eye. You will see an image of a light blue shirt, cropped dark jacket, the camera flashing in the left hand, and a gun? in the right. This would explain why he looked so shocked when Jodi Arias surprised him in the shower. and possibly shot him.. blowing the defenses theory of "self defense" out of the water.

eta: That is CNN's description above, not mine. I think it is all just crazy.

I see the flash and her hand but can't see the other hand. Looking again, I can see both hands. WOW!
