I really think she turned a few tricks on the way for money.....just my o:what:

Seems to me, she always had $$. Where did it come from? That's always gnawed at me -- how much and when did she work at M-ville? Your idea, Really? is not so far-fetched to me at all. I'm sure we'll never figure or find out about the money thing, but I would really like to know.

Am I the only one who is mystified and curious about it?? It just nags at me every time JA spending or having $$ comes up... Grrrrrrr.

Vinnie Politan as Justin Bieber!

Well, Vinnie is cute either way! I agree with all that he needs a news hairstyle. One he has now is......don't have the word for that kind of weirdness.

Katiecoolady,
Went back and read several posts. I am so sorry for the tragedy in your family.
What an eye opener to the legal system. Your insights are really helpful to us all.
Thanks for all of us.

My guess is that these were ATM deposits. Maybe they were both checks? I know chase bank here in Indiana you can take a picture of the check and send it to the bank and they will deposit into your account. Maybe it is the same type of scenario, the Atm scans the checks? Totally just guessing here.

They were cash and there were actually 3 deposits -- 400 deposit in one account; 300 and 100 deposits into a second acount. I'll go look at the receipts to see if they were ATM deposits.

Wonder why a waitress had more than one account? Maybe a small savings account?

Wonder if Martinez is saving a lot of evidence to write a book later. The prosecution sure did end abruptly. He is supposed to be pretty sharp. I hope he wasn't being over confident. Guess that's my skepticism. She is guilty. Period.

i know nothing about her job but i have known a lot of servers. they always have cash. my friend came to visit me once and needed to make a deposit while he was here. he had no idea how much money he had but when we counted it, it was $900! he made that in about 2 weeks time, too.

it seems like we've heard nothing about her job---or at least i haven't. was she a server? a bartender (they make more money than servers) or what? how long did she work there? how many hours a week did she work?

It seems more logical that Jodi brought the KY there.

I cant see Travis going into a store and buying it for anyone to see it.

Didnt Juan say she introduced the KY to Travis. Maybe its on one of the receipts showing where she purchased it.

IMO

She worked as a waitress at a Mexican restaurant in her town, Casa Ramos, I believe is where she worked. jmo

I saw no indication that the deposits were made at an ATM location.

Thanks for posting this.

These are the two transactions that make no sense. Why not just deposit $400 into this account?

i just think if she was setting up a self-defense claim, it would've been the first story she told. if she'd said that in the first place, this case would have been so much harder to prove---but she didn't.

first, she swore wasn't there. i think she really hoped she'd cleaned up well enough that any trace of her there would be explained by her previous presence in the house. then there was the camera. like you, i think she believed she had deleted those photos, for one thing. they were gone. AND, i agree that she put that camera in the wash by accident. otherwise, she would have just taken it with her and destroyed it along with the other things we know she got rid of somewhere.

i do believe she went there with the intent to kill him--maybe if he'd told her he'd take her to cancun she wouldn't have. i don't know. but i think it didn't turn out being as easy or as tidy as she'd envisioned it would be. she made a mess of the scene and she was there for hours she couldn't explain.

i'm preparing myself to be angry and frustrated starting tuesday. i always am during defense presentations where the defendant is clearly guilty. :banghead:

I totally agree with every point you made, ks. The wrong alibi(s) screwed her up, especially when she came up with that ridiculous 2nd ninja alibi. I agree about the camera being in the wash being accidental & her panicking about it when she couldn't find it....even if I had deleted the pics, I still would have taken the camera with me. And her going there with the intent to murder if he didn't change his mind on Cancun. And all those extra hours... and all the rest.
JMO, too!

Here's my best guess. She planned on using MasterCard through California and then on her way back from UT to establish her alibi trail with receipts. She wanted to use cash between CA and Mesa and UT. So she had to make sure she had the right amount of cash on hand and funds in her account From which the MasterCard funds are drawn (assuming its a check/debit MasterCard).

She deposited 300 and wrote her available balance after the deposit and determined she didn't have enough to use the card so she deposited another 100

I do not understand these gas purchases within minutes of each other. They are for amounts that would not fit into her car.

Am I reading something wrong? And the small kerosene can would not get her very far if she was using it for gas
