I seem to recall it was stated by the defense she drove 2834 miles with the rental car. Does anyone know what she had to pay for extra mileage fees?

The mileage was unlimited, so there was no extra mileage fees.

Hi Katiecoolady,
Just logged on for today. You were much cuter before you became Vinnie Politan. Lol

:floorlaugh: Katiecoolady obviously kidnapped Vinnie Politan this weekend during a lull on InSession, and is forcing him to pose for her wearing Justin Bieber's old hair. (Is that avatar abuse?)

Or maybe Katiecoolady really IS Vinnie Politan, loves Justin Bieber's old hair style, and was only pretending to be the smiling blonde.....hmmmmm....

Yet another mystery to be solved at WS!:shush: I'm wondering if there was wine involved......

(I enjoy your posts Vinnie/ Katiecoolady-- just teasing a bit!)

Because you were deciding what you were going to buy with cash and what you were going to buy with your debit card... and you decided you would need more for the debit card (to create the intentional paper trail).

Wouldn't this all be decided before she walked up to the teller to make the deposit? And wouldn't she check her account balance before making the initial deposit? Something's fishy here...

I'm sorry, but I don't see the purchase of 2 facial cleansers and 2 boxes of hair dye as pointing to a second person. She might just have needed that much for herself. She has a lot of hair, and maybe the facial cleanser was to clean up the blood afterwards.

She could of used it on her face, where you usually get drips when you color.

Does it say what kind of brown color was bought? Fanci Ful by Roux is a temporary shampoo and dry tint that leaves reddish brown stains.

I do not understand these gas purchases within minutes of each other. They are for amounts that would not fit into her car.

Am I reading something wrong? And the small kerosene can would not get her very far if she was using it for gas

We know she bought one five gallon can for sure. She may have bought/already had another one, giving her an additional 10 gallons. So if the car had a 13.5 gallon capacity and she had 10 additional gallons of space available, that makes 23.5. Is that within the capacity she purchased?

I agree. But one niggling thing. Did she go back to her home after she picked up the rental?
Where would she have gotten the "more" containers in her trunk? She had to get them somewhere AFTER she rented the car. And the gas purchases were for more than what would have fit in the two containers she bought.

I'm going with the "more" containers in her trunk too, as my best guess, but where did they come from?
More proof of premeditation if she brought them from home, and possibly transferred them from her car to the rental.

Going back home to get more gas cans is a ninety miles drive in the wrong way, then another ninety miles back to get back on track of your destination.

Why did she buy TWO bottles of facial cleanser as well? Why wouldn't one be sufficient? Is there another use for facial cleanser than its obvious use?

Whe you are coloring your hair by yourself.......especially in a less than ideal setting as this MUST have been, facial cleanser is needed to clean up around your hairline areas, forehead, nape of neck, behind ears.....she was going darker in her color and she has long hair, she may have needed a lot to clean up. She may also have done the color twice for it to have gone darker.

I have been looking at the reciept and think she bought either (NE). Nice and Easy, or (NI) Natural Instinct. I can't make out if its an E or an I on the pLu number.

Hi everyone - haven't posted in ages. Following this case. Just wanted to add a thought for those who wondered how JA dragged TA's body down the hall. It specifically says in the police report that the hallway is tile, and if you look at the photos you can clearly see this. There is carpet at the end of that hallway but not the length of the hallway. That hallway is tile continuing into the bathroom. So easy for her to drag his body along the tile vs. carpet. This may have been brought up by someone before, but I hadn't seen anyone else's comments about it.

Aren't those both Clairol?

This is NOT true!!

Leslie's husband was mentioned in her testimony as sitting next to the defendant at a dinner in Utah on June 5th and asked her (defendant) what happened to her hand.

Yeah, I just listened to Leslie's testimony and she definitely didn't say that. Leslie lives in Utah.

Does anyone know what the miles per gallon that the rental car is listed as getting?

Has anyone done a count on things Jodi said and match them up to the sequence of events during Travis's murder. Things like her hand was on his back. Travis getting mad and threw the CD, but it was her not him? Those little truths in all of Jodi's lies.

When Jodi went to Budget in Redding to rent the car, she told the man that she was going to be using it for just around town. I'm sure she probably told the same story to whoever it was that took her to Redding to rent the car. If she did, then she more than likely went back to Yreka first before heading towards LA and AZ. The person that took her to Redding would question why she went the opposite direction from Redding if she did not go home first. Perfect time to put the additional gas cans in her car before she left for AZ.

The car was a Ford Focus, yes? If so, I found the following:

Cost to Drive 25 Miles $2.95
Fuel to Drive 25 Miles 0.9 gallons
Cost to Fill the Tank $40
Miles on a Tank 340 miles
Tank Size 13.5 gallons

This comes from a site that lists fuel mileage, etc for cars.

Also, did they say explicitly in court that the purchase at Walmart included brown hair color?

She must have. But she must have bought it with cash somewhere.

She got a ride to the car rental place, so did she take a gas can with the driver? Sounds too weird for me

Watching Day 2 of the trial, JA's phone convo with Det. Flores is playing.
She is an idiot. I can't believe her verbal diarrhea.

No receipts for 06/04 or 06/05 and no receipts for anything, not even gas, purchased anywhere near AZ, interesting.

She must have had another gas can or two or three.

Jodi's mother lives in Redding, according to her Facebook page. I think Jodi simply colored her hair at her mom's house, prior to picking up the rental car in Redding.

It's only a three hour trip from Redding, CA to Lodi, CA her first stop for gas on the 2nd. She picked the rental up a about 9am and purchased gas in Lodi around 9pm. That's 12 hours and a tank full of gas later. Sounds as if she went home first. She purchased the hair color the following day. jmo
