Three things for you: I read your story about your sister and my heart aches for you and your family. I truly admire how you have been able to move on under such unbelievably tragic circumstances. Also, you provided me with a belly-aching laugh re your comment about Vinnie's hair being 1/4 inch from a nutty professor (in fact, by tummy is shaking as I type this). Finally,thank you for sharing the Dear Zachary story. I watched it last night and found it so profoundly sad, and it also made me embarrassed for my native land with their horrific oversights and handling Shirley Turner.

Glad you got a little laugh. I"m really not as obsessed with Vinnie as I seem. But I am kind of obsessed with Beth Karas (I love her--she's so smart). And yes that film...sigh....nothing really can be said. And hopefully things have changed that allowed her to continue her evil murderous ways. :furious:

This is neither here nor there, but it's a good tip. I use vaseline around my hairline and neck ( and eyebrows) when using dark dyes, so it doesn't stain my skin. In a pinch, I might even use ky.

afaik, all of the other girls, including the marriage material (mimi) have been brunette. I believe Lisa is a brunette, as well, and so is Deanna, his former gf.

Ohhh...I see where you're going here. I'd flip that against her, saying she either colored her hair because she was trying to avoid detection by the neighbors or she was so obsessed with Travis and the women he was dating, she was trying to actually LOOK like them. Ugh.

I've been reading these posts about the giant bottle of lube for a while now. I've seen the pics (I think I've seen the ones referenced) and haven't thought it was so gigantic. Can someone clue me on this?

I think it's a larger bottle than what is normally sold in stores...like a Costco size.

What I'm wondering about is TWO facial cleansers. Was it a "two for one" sale? Or was she anticipating her face getting that dirty? Or was she putting some kind of heavy face makeup as part of her disguise?

I'm not liking the "disguise" argument. I like the trying to be what was appealing (serious relationship-wise) to Travis argument a little more. jmo

These shower areas are not easily seen from just popping in to "hover n run" as I call it... they are usually located upstairs or in another area that wouldn't be seen unless requested specifically also near the truckers area where they have a "media room" for TV/ movies... some have recliners, sofas that are very comfy others have plastic DMV chairs!!! lol... The showers are maintained constantly bleached etc... as hotel rooms would be but the turn over is more frequent. MUCH CLEANER than any "ladies room" I have ever seen~ at the better stops anyway...
I would think JA would need a GOOD shower prior to showing up at TA's... all that time on the road... ICK!

Would there be a lot of young female motorists travelling by themselves in a car at these truck stops? If not it would seem she would be something the truckers wouldn't forget seeing.

He was interested in her because she was blond, all his male friends were initially. She changed it on the road, not at home where we would normally do it. If defense uses it for argument I see Martinez shooting it down in a blaze of glory. There are just some places defense wants to stay away from. I would hope they are smart enough to stay away from this one. jmo
