She rented the car on 6/2 and was in Salinas on 6/3. She also stopped for gas in Lobi, CA after 8pm on 6/2 which is only 3 hours from Redding. Funny she stopped in Lobi because that is farther east of the highway that was recommended on goggle maps. Since she was headed west to Monterey you would think she would stay on Rt5 but Lobi is way over on RT99 more towards the middle of the state. Plus there are mountains to cross and very few highways cutting through. Seems like she went out of her way.

My mother lived in Apple Valley, CA and there is no way she mistakenly got lost and took the wrong road once she reached LA. jmo
Do you mean Lodi??? It's near Stockton, and Creedence Clearwater wrote a song about it "Oh Lord, stuck in Lodi again!"
I agree she went way out of her way. Monterey & Salinas are West, Monterey is on the coast, Lodi is way inland to the East. The most direct route South down the state is I5.

BBM Oh, now I am homesick for CA. I used to live right by AV, in Victorville. Don't miss VV but miss Big Bear and Newport beach!
Agree with you about Big Bear!

She either had more gas cans or she was buying gas for another person

I'm still trying to catch up but this post made me think. It does seem like she was buying gas for another vehicle. That's strange. Very very strange.

Hello dear WS folks. I have been devouring your insightful and spirited discussions for the past week after suppressing my own ideas and theories and I finally decided to chime in after carefully reading Det. Flores’ report, especially since one thing waved a huge red flag at me and seemed to be as yet unaddressed…
Forgive me for the length of my spew as I have many pent up opinions and observations, some based on personal experiences with MLM organizations like PPL.

Regarding Jodi’s trip from Mesa to Utah. It was reported that her calls/voicemail post-mortem to Travis were made 250 miles from Mesa. As someone who lives in Las Vegas and has traveled many times to both Phoenix and Salt Lake City, I estimate that she would have been in Las Vegas/Henderson via I-93 when she made the calls. Also, the drive from Vegas to SLC via I-15 is about 6 hours which means she should have arrived there at approximately 6:00 am. However, Ryan stated she arrived around 11:00/noon. So there are about 6 hours unaccounted for at this leg of her trip Did she take a sleepover rest stop in Vegas? Further to this travel scenario, she would have to cross the Colorado River by either going over Hoover Dam or the Pat Tillman bridge. Could she have possibly tossed the murder weapons over the dam/bridge and into either Lake Mead or the river?

. Keep the faith!

Welcome to Websleuths!

I don't remember the exact mileage but the phone call was made in Arizona north of Kingman (according to cell tower hit). My best guess is somewhere around the Dolan Springs/ Pierce Ferry turn off.
If I find the testimony I'll post it here.

It was discussed that the gun may have been thrown over the dam. I thought of the Tillman bridge also, but was informed it wasn't built in 2008, which I had not thought of. :-)

Every time I look up "Nuetragena hair color" Clairol comes up.
I am wondering if they produce it under the Clairol name. Kinda half trying to find that out, but it wouldn't be the first time corporations did that.
I think the "BR25" - or whatever it was on the end definitely denotes hair color.
I thought we determined that she bought Neutrogena facial cleanser and Clairol Nice & Easy hair color based on the UPC codes. Does one of these companies own the other???

I don't think Neutrogena makes hair color but they do make facial cleanser. Didn't I read on here she purchased 2 facial cleansers along with the (identity concealing) hair color?
Neutrogena doesn't make hair color, they are a skin care company.

Please don't have a stroke. It is going to get really ugly when they start trashing Travis. You're probably going to throw things, so hope you have some pillows nearby to throw.

That is when I'll need the wine, to keep from shooting the TV.

I too was disappointed. I was hoping she had gained weight also. lol Well, at least we can watch her age like SP is doing.

The answer is No. They have different parent companies. From Wikipedia:
Clairol is a Personal care - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia division of Procter & Gamble - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia begun in 1931 by Americans - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Lawrence and Joan Gelb after discovering hair-coloring preparations while traveling in France.[1] The company was widely recognized in its home country, the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States, for its "Miss Clairol" home Hair coloring - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia kit introduced in 1956. By 1959, Clairol was considered the leading company in the U.S. hair-coloring industry. In 2004, Clairol registered annual sales worth approximately US$1.6 billion from the sale of its hair products.[2] As of 2012, Clairol manufactures hair-coloring products sold under the brand names "Natural Instincts", "Nice ’n Easy" and "Perfect Lights".[3]

Neutrogena is an American Brand - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/aurlme] of [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skin"]Skin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia care, Hair care - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and Cosmetics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, that is headquartered in Los Angeles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, California - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.[1] According to product advertising at their website, Neutrogena products are distributed in more than 70 countries. Neutrogena was founded in 1930 by Emanuel Stolaroff, and was originally a cosmetics company named Natone. It is now part of the United States-based Johnson & Johnson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia conglomerate, which bought the independent company in 1994.[2]

LOL - that's where I've been - looking. Finally left a message on their FB page.
I believe Neutrogena must produce it under the Clairol label.
My husband is subcontracted to a major mfg, who makes many of the same products under different labels (brands).
I can't prove it yet, but I think that's what's going on.

Clairol Nice & Easy hair color - owned by Procter and Gamble?
Neutrogena facial cleanser - owned by Johnson and Johnson?

I think.

all may be inter related.

:dunno: Was it two bottles of cleanser or are they thin small circular pads? Not much bigger than a ritz cracker.
Maybe she figured she might need more than one jar?
