It could be more than a fine if you have aids or tuberculosis. I wonder if someone dying of aids would be willing to spend the time they have left in jail just to spit on Casey Anthony? That's something to think about when your in disguise in public Casey. The more she lets these so called video diaries leak out the madder people are going to get. So no it's not getting better day by day. Sorry I know it's off topic but my blood boils over that name and Jodi your not far behind.

After the OJ verdict I remember thinking if I ever saw him out somewhere that I would spit on him. lol

So, it's NOT jodi's artwork..Right?

I wouldn't say that. It is odd how similar it is to those and how crappy a photographer she seems to be tho.

that's great you did that. I remember when i was about 30 and my husband and I just moved into our first home. one day i was out walking and noticed a neighbor across the street was trying to remove a frightened cat from a trap. this creep was trapping cats in his yard! i confronted him and insisted he give me the cat. i took the cat home and called another neighbor who came over and looked at the cat and told me it belonged to the family up the street. so we took it up there and i told them about this creep neighbor. then about 6 of of us went over to talk to the man. his wife answered the door and said he wasn't there - which was a lie. i learned his name--"Sam" and whenever i saw him, i yelled "there's Sam the cat trapper man!". i wrote letters to all the neighbors informing them of what Sam had done. a few months later they moved.

With LWOP she gets to be more social in the system. With the DP, she's more isolated but gets to be a star outside the system.

I know a few things about this process as my sister's killers were sentenced to Death in AZ in 1990 and our family has been dragged through the appellate process for 23 years. The DP is NOT the preferred sentence in terms of impact on victims families. There is a momentary satisfaction knowing the worst of the worst got the worst of the worst sentence but that is short lived.

One of my sister's killers got off Death Row a couple of years ago because of a mental retardation claim. Jodi will also probably get this argued for her too with educated attorneys doing so with a straight face. It dragged our family through another mini trial and so much retraumatizing I can't even enumerate it here. Not to mention MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars.

Once on death row Jodi will receive some of the best legal assistance there is. Also at tax payer expense. She will have websites set up for her in Canada which request donations and correspondence. She will likely be married shortly after she's on DR. This is the furthest sentence from a "lock the door and throw away the key" there is. In fact, Jodi will have a far better chance of being RELEASED from prison on Death Row than if she gets LWOP. Simply because more people are fighting for her for much longer there.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to the DP for it's sake. I have no reason to see my sister's killers executed but I don't oppose it. I just know what that sentence does to families. So I have ambivalence about it.

I'll get off my soapbox now. I'll be ok with either sentence but my suspicion is she will in fact get the DP.

I'm so sorry for all you and your family have been put through. It seems unfair that they're still alive when they should have been sent to hell years ago.

I think Travis had a naive idea of what people are truly capable of and I think it stemmed from his childhood. He had meth addicted parents, but in his blog we read mostly about his mother.

TA's mother was a drug addict of the gnarliest sort. People on any type of amphetamine have the double whammy of being amped up and artificially energized for extended lengths of time- that is where the double whammy comes in- then they aren't able to sleep.

We need our sleep people.

After any extended period of time without sleep people can become deluded, aggressive, and paranoid.

I am fairly certain that TA and his siblings went through this with their mother.

In his blog he wrote about how violent she would become when anyone woke her up. She'd whoop them, according to Travis.

She never stabbed her children or shot at them, and in Travis' mind she was the worst of the worst as far as human beings he was exposed to. Add to that, when you are raised in circumstances such as these what is normal behavior becomes very skewed.

I speak of this from experience. The crazy stuff that goes on in your house becomes normal. Later on in life we accept things that others wouldn't because in the scheme of our lives they aren't that crazy.

Jodi wasn't doing meth, and as far as we know she had never hit Travis, so in his skewed reality she probably seemed rather harmless.

I think because of his own abandonment issues from childhood, he cut her a lot of slack. Even though he said some things to other people, I honestly don't believe Travis really believed that Jodi was dangerous.

this is what i think too--his broken childhood set him up accept or even be attracted to "crazy".

I don't think men are taken seriously (in many cases) when they report a woman stalking or abusing them. In alot of ways men are failed by the justice system.

My beliefs as well, and quite possibly why Travis didn't pursue any action against her. He likely thought he could deal with it himself by appeasing her. Still can't understand, however, if he truly believed how dangerous she is, that he would have allowed her inside his home for many hours.

MOO

I was waiting for my neighbor to get home so I can use her Facebook account to see what else he has on there and gather more info for reporting.

I know I am overstepping my bounds here, but have you ever considered making your own FB page?

You can make a fake name. FB says you can't, but lots of people have fake ones for playing games. I guess the FB police will soon be coming after me.

An F B account seems to really be helpful in this sleuthing business we are in

At least OJ is behind bars, but knowing she is out there free and doesn't even mention her daughter makes me so sick. If Jodi gets even a hung jury there is something wrong really wrong.

I bet ya $1 the DV expert will bring it up though.

Also, people keep saying she texted a woman from TAs phone, but she didn't. Rather, she thought about it and then backed off. Just clarifying...

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And in one of her online conversations with this new boy toy, Ryan, Jodi admits secretly going through Travis`s phone. On it she finds the number of a woman she thinks Travis is secretly dating while still having sex with her. Listen to what she decides to do next.

BURNS: "I decided to text her back, quote, `Time to cuddle with Jodi. Good night.` Then I deleted the message, went to sleep, and never mentioned it to him. One day while he was taking a nap, I took his phone and read his text messages. Bad, I know."

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1301/09/ijvm.01.html

I read this to mean she decided to text her back. She text her `Time to cuddle with Jodi. Good night.`and then deleted that message so TA wouldn't know she actually sent it.

I am at a loss for words reading of what you and your father had to endure. Where you are re-victimized by the court system and representatives. Sadly, it does not surprise me.

Your perseverance seems to have drawn results in the end, that was a very powerful statement that you gave. You were a strong fighter for your sister. It's sad that the family has to take on such a role. I hope you and your father had good support.

Thank you HarvestMoon. Yes we have had good support within ourselves and outside. Luckily attorneys are out there who are positioned to support victims because God knows they are lining up to support murderers on Death Row. We've endured hell and back but my brother's recent seeming "recovery" from decades of schizophrenia is a miracle we were, let's just say "due". We're having a ball now, traveling together, living near each other, enjoying life. Just as my sister would want it. It's no accident my brother "cracked" right after we went to these trials. There are so many ripple effects from these evil people...like Jodi Arias as well. There are more casualties to her evil deeds than we've seen or will ever see I guarantee.

O/T Really????

I'm a coward, though, and if said it was against the rules I would quit. - I know, I know. Goody2shoes, AND coward. lol

I'm a pretty private person and fought against getting a FB for a long time, but I finally got one so I can read about different cases and such...I don't use my real name and only a few people know who I am.

In case you're running low, I suggest you save it for next week when you're REALLY gonna need it. haha

Has anyone seen the Jodi stretch? That to me said it all. It seemed like she was gesturing, Oh they will be so turned on by me they will ask me for my number and let me go. Well keep stretching Jodi cause your still behind bars and hopefully will stay there until they put a needle in your arm.

I want to know why the police didn't respond when called right after the second tire slashing incident!
Was there some hostage situation at the bank? Was there an outbreak of the trots that caused every officer to take a seat on toilets at the same time?

I had someone steal something from me. I went and sat at the police station waiting for someone to come and take my case. I needed a case number in order to get reimbursed.

I waited and waited. I gave up.

I called another time after I saw the woman driving on the freeway. Nothing

Finally, after a few weeks, I called 911 eventually screaming into the phone to be recorded as nut job 100,000 I am sure.

I finally got to talk to a police officer and said all I needed was a case number. I did not live in the city limits even though the theft was in the city. That was major tuffy for them to figure out. :banghead:

Now see, I've had one since 2007. It's how I keep up-to-date on my extended family and long-time friends, people I wouldn't ordinarily call. You can set your settings to private, and I don't post much.

WY Katie, I'm glad there is a happiness at last, and in spite of, that long road. Your poor brother, yes indeed ripple effects for sure.
