So he was trying to inject himself via the State and when he didn't get a call back, he switched over to the Defense. Disgusting.

So who told Sky within 20 minutes that Gus was on the witness list?

I also think this trial is hurting PPL. Maybe that is a good thing since it is a pyramid scheme anyway. JMO.

ok, so the whole point of this hearing is what?

How did Chris Hughes know that Gus was on the witness list? CH just said that his wife told him, right? how did she know?

is this the whole point? lol

"I have information that can hurt her or free her" GMAB

  • #2,007
Is it just me or is CH already more of a creditable witness than the last douche????

I personally find CH and SH to be creepy and spinners of information. But that's just me.

  • #2,008
So basically he, like any good Narcissist, believed that CH was getting the attention he felt he deserved from the State. So he went and tattled on him ..trying to get attention anywhere he could.

Where are you guys finding it live? I've got TruTV-West on InSession and they still don't have it live. It's been Christy Paul and Beth Karas doing recaps.

Nurmi lied to Sky to forewarn them about hearing ..and lied to her about letters that were concocted and forged by Jodi. So Chris told Gus he thought Nurmi was a liar.

Searcy makes it sound like he refused to talk to CH yet he also said "too much to text, call me later". Mmmmhmmmm

I caught that too. Can't talk about it but oh then, call me later. Too much to text about......

I think this guy is just a big talker and likes talking about himself, from the video. Don't mean to offend anyone. JMO.

This guy is just another guy that wants to get his 15 minutes of fame.

CH is very credible.

It reminds me when they had to stop the Scott Peterson trial because the Judge had received a letter from loony tune that he knew who killed Laci.

IMO

Defense should be charged with defense misconduct. Too bad they have such leeway to act unethically. Nice double standard for them.

If she was one of the parties in the conversation that was recorded I think it is legal here.
Found some info:

B. In the case of a telephone or in-person conversation, recording simply means making a copy of the conversation between two or more people. Recording is illegal in Arizona if NO party to the conversation knows that the conversation is being recorded. However, in Arizona, and this varies by state, if one party to the conversation knows that the conversation is being recorded, it is not illegal. Thus, if someone tape records a phone call or conversation involving him/herself and another person, even one who is unaware of being recorded, that's legal in Arizona.

HTH

It's also legal in Texas. We just settled a case where this sneak called everyone and their brother and never mentioned to ANYONE they were being recorded. I don't think it's right the other person doesn't get to know - out of the hundreds of hours we had to listen to, I'd say less then 10 were actually relevant to our case. We heard lots of personal things we shouldn't have even known (and I wish I hadn't heard)!!

Chris Hughes - Founder and CEO of Personal Growth Academy and legal consult for PPL

Had a conversation with GS . . . . Prosecutor shows him exhibits . . . .
Did you send him a text?
I did
Did you speak to the Prosecutor yesterday?
Yes
How long has it been since before yesterday?
Years - three years

What motivated you to . . . .take a look @ exhibit #1
You sent GS a text message
Yes
On request from anyone?
No
Who did you hear that from?
My wife
Did you contact him on your own?
I was curious

I texted him and asked what's up - he said too much to text . . . I reached out to him and he to me . . . we were able to speak around 3 or 4 . .

First thing we talked about a seminar on the weekend - then he talked about his fiance and her bio and when they might be getting married, then talked about his house - had a water main break =

He has had various successes and various background and loves the limelight - he went on People's court with a family member = I can give you other examples.

He has a unique flair - we have had him come do a few seminars - we have a stage and a curtain . . . usually the speaker comes up on the stage Gus likes to hide behind the curtain and then come out.

Gus was fairly tight lipped about Jodi - he said he might be called to testify . . . .
did he seem upset that the Prosecutor's office not calling him back? . ..

He seemed aggitated - he said he wasn't going to say anything but would save it for the stand if called . . . said he has information that will hurt her or free her . . .

I said Come on Gus . . . .free her - she admitted killing him . . . he said won't free her but will help her.

Witness did not say he was working for the Prosecution, nor talking to the Prosecuting Atty on a regular basis.

He was annoyed that Prosecutor did not call him back. . . .I (Hughes) said Defense Atty was a liar - he lied to my wife about letters that were forged and concocted by his client. . . .
I have never called the Prosecutors until this weekend....

I didn't know what this was going to be about - Prosecutor said they didn't know either - flew out Mr. Hughes

Defense asked for a recess . . . . . as witness referenced letters . . . .

Is Mr. Hughes under subpoena and if not DA will serve him now.

Counsel approach

Nurmi is nervous and trying to run his fingers through his hair when he does not have any.:floorlaugh:

  • #2,019
I love how he was able to get on the record in court that Nurmi is a liar. "I still believe it". snap!

  • #2,020
Recess time so DA can get his story straight. So transparent!
