Wait, kinda listening to NG, who believes Snow White was a battered woman?
The defense expert or the defendant herself???

From NG's show: The domestic violence expert once gave a speech on whether or not Snow White was a battered woman. LOL

eh? Seriously?

In my opinion, the actual truth is that Jodi Arias premeditated and committed this heinous murder. What's left to be decided is what her sentence will be. And yeah, I'm a total sleuth but in this case, the State of AZ has already conducted and concluded that investigation. We're at the trial phase now, not the investigation phase. But that's just me. :moo:

Oh and I do know we're in the guilt phase and not the sentencing phase, but Jodi Arias has ADMITTED GUILT in this case. This whole trial, to me, is more like a sentencing phase proceeding which is why I characterized it like that.

Katiecoolady: the voice of reason! Thank you. She is guilty. And I don't need to justify that to MooCow or anyone else. It has been investigated and she has admitted it.

But the jury has already heard miss thing lie to Flores about not having a gun, not touching a gun, not knowing what a .25 looks like, not having fired a gun. I doubt very seriously that the jury will now think, oh well she just had a gun in her purse for protection. The problem for Jodi is her lies are not well thought out and are going to sink her.

MOO

Shoot, forgot about that.

1) Would you have sex/at least get nude with a person that randomly showed up in your house, uninvited or unannounced? Especially if you were getting serious with another person, and about to take them on a trip out of the country?

2) I don't believe he didn't know she was there, unless you're claiming he never once looked through the clear glass door. I think it's highly probable he knew she was there, and didn't care.

3) Do you believe that the photos of her were magically taken that night?

1) TA wasn't getting serious with Mimi. That is sworn testimony.
2) she slipped in through the doggie door or knew the garage door code. And yeah, the sex was free so he may have accepted it.
3). Yep. I think she set that camera at an angle and took the pictures of herself. Not hard to believe about a psycho.

Wow. So she lives in a world of fiction. Just like JA. Okay then.

Maybe as he reveals that he was the ninja he'll reveal a ninja outfit under his suit, stand up and break out into the Gangnam Style dance. That seems like something Gus would do. Juan will admonish him that nobody asked him to sing and dance, he may only answer YES or NO.

:great:

That's it. I'm taking off the whole week.

I can't wait until Gus gets cross-examined in front of the jury. I'll bet he thinks he did really well today and he'll probably get a bit more cocky with the jury as his audience. It's going to be a debacle.

I wonder if he'll break out the gold nugget pinky ring for that?

BTW Lotus, tiny costumed monkeys riding saddled-up border collies, and team-penning rams while Rush plays in the background= BEST. DAY. EVER.

Didn't know how to bring it over to this thread, but AWESOME! :rocker:

Since she didn't seem to call an attorney for hours after being interrogated, I wonder if she wasted her one phone call from jail on phone sex with some unlucky guy. :waitasec:

I just had flashbacks to THAT DAY and THOSE PICS (which I had to beg for since I was distracted from the computer, btw)!!!!:MYEYES!:

BBM

So investigators are always thorough with cases, and never overlook evidence? Or perhaps get things wrong? People are never wrongly accused of something based on the State's evidence at the time? I guess I'm not as trusting in the police system as you to deliver 100% correct conclusions. JMO

Hey Moocow, <modsnip> there are pictures of the murder and one has her in it?

I'm thinking about quitting my job and selling PPL so I can be home during the day and watch my trials. I need about 100 of ya'll to buy my product though and maybe 20 to become reps under me so I can start making money fast! We can go to Cancun and other fun places and talk about our trials. Sounds fun!

Re-listening to the opening statements. Absolutely worth hearing a second time. Here's the link for anyone that is interested:

The facts of the case? I thought that is what we have been talking about. When it comes to anything that Jodi says we don't know if we are getting facts or not though since she lies alot. Then there are "facts" that really aren't facts at all. Like Travis letting Jodi in that early morning, that's not a fact but someones opinion. Facts that we know for sure, just some of them:

1. Travis was stabbed 27 times.
2. Travis was shot in the head.
3. Travis had his throat sliced to the point of almost decapitation.
4. Jodi claims to have not been in AZ at all the day of the murder (first time).
5. Jodi claims to have been at Travis's house when two intruders came in and attacked and killed Travis but left her alive (second time).
6. Jodi claims, through her lawyers, that she killed Travis in self defense (third time).
7. Photos prove that Jodi was there the day Travis was killed.
8. Jodi's blood is mixed with Travis's blood in Jodi's handprint left on the wall of the hallway to the bathroom.
9. Jodi rented a car 90 miles away from her hometown a couple of days before she killed Travis.
10. Jodi made plans to meet Ryan B in Utah on June 4, 2008 but arrived almost 24 hours late.
11. A gun was stolen from Jodi's grandparents home that was the same caliber as the gun Jodi used to shoot Travis.
12. Jodi is a liar.

Now of those facts, plus others I did not list, what points to any sort of self-defense? What points to not having enough information to find Jodi guilty of murdering Travis? I, personally, do not see why there is any need to wait and see what the defense will say concerning this case. The defense will say what Jodi tells them. The defense knows nothing more, truthfull, about this case than we do. The defense has every reason to try and discredit Travis and make him out to be the monster when the real monster is their client. This is also not a court of law and we are able to determine guilt or innocence on our own without listening to the lies brought forward by the defense without being punished for it. Our opinions do not make any difference in the outcome of this trial. We will not decide if Jodi goes to prison for life or gets the death penalty.

MOO

Well put. Thank you.

Sheila represented herself! Which Jodi also tried a couple of years ago (would love the back story on how that changed).
From what I've read/heard a week after granting her motion to represent herself (but retaining Nurmi/Washington as advisory counsel) the judge asked if she was in over her head and she admitted she was - this was the same hearing that the defense handwriting expert testified and the letters purportedly written by Travis Alexander were precluded. Still a little OT but I think people keep saying that she was "into Wicca" because she had a quote from Aleistair Crowley on he may space or someplace, and he had NOTHING to do with Wicca AT ALL.

Also, just goes to show that you can't believe everything you read on Wikipedia! :)

OT He's maybe somehow a relative of GeorgeWBush through the grandmother I remember reading. Do I have that right?

Why do all the people who call into these shows seem so concentrated on the Wicca and then turning it into Witchcraft and human sacrifice? They seem to be the only people who get their call through.

Is it possible that Gus will drop a bombshell that he in fact was the male ninja in JA's second made up story?

LOL I was thinking the same thing....either that or he knows the Guy that was allegedly with JA.

Maybe someone else showed up to this visit with JA.

Thanks to MINOR4, I believe she may have been buying gas for another vehicle. Just sayin'.

And the "product" of PPL/LS seems to be.....more people to sell the "product!"
