You seem to be confusing Mimi and Lisa a bit here.

Mimi was not interested in Travis in that way.
Lisa and Travis broke up due to Jodi.

Thanks. I was just coming to change I'm sure to I think. However, as Sula pointed out, it looks like Travis was still interested even if Mimi wasn't. And I'm sure SOME GIRL he was seeing said he was persistent. lol So I don't think we can rule out his ongoing romantic interest in Mimi.

Tomorrow night JVM is supposed to interview Jodie's circle of friends.

I can't see Jodi having close friends. Close friends are those with whom you reveal your true intentions and secrets. I'm betting these alleged "close friends" are only people that Jodi worked with at times.

Are these friends the ones that are in jail with her?

imo

Nancy should really keep her big mouth shut, this is a mistrial. Did anyone know she pleaded guilty to 2nd degree?
Talking heads conjecturing isn't necessarily mistrial material. There are very specific legalities that must be present to warrant a mistrial. (The judge actually expounds on those in her latest rulings.) Besides the jury has been instructed repeatedly to avoid contact with media regarding this case. Hopefully they aren't watching Nancy Grace. ;)

That said, she did not plea. Her defense offered to plead guilty to 2nd degree. The prosecution intelligently declined since there is more than ample evidence to justify both first degree charges in my opinion.

ETA: From what I can piece together anyway...sorry to say Ol Blighty has yet to realize the ahem, benefits, of airing Nancy Grace. :great:

I'm watching NG right now and Jean Casarez (sp?) is on. She is usually very pretty (imo) but I'm not loving her hair. I think she looks better with a length right below her shoulder.

Oh, and Nancy's barrette......

Everyone knows now that it was announced on the NG show. I still don't understand why this jury isn't sequestered.

Exactly it really doesn't make sense. This is a death penalty case.

Respectfully, link please. My understanding is she started seeing DB when he was recently divorced, therefore he was not "ready to get into a committed relationship" but ended up with her for 4 years.

Do you have a link? thanks

Why? None of the jurors are suppose to watch any media.

She tried to plea but the DA wisely refused.

As I understand it, Mimi wasn't getting serious with Travis. Doesn't mean he didn't aspire. In fact, I'm sure I've read that Mimi wasn't getting serious with Travis UNTIL Travis dealt with Jodi.

Is there evidence that she used the doggie door or garage door code on that specific night?

Travis cannot testify that he was getting serious about Mimi.

As far as doggie door...is there any evidence to say she didn't use it? That was one of her little habits.

I think the tire slashing is true. We may hear more about that later on before the trial is over. Which would mean she carries a knife with her. The same knife she used to slit an innocent man's throat.

The blade had to be at least 6 inches long and extremely sharp and one that would not break because it literally took chunks out of his skull.:( Most kitchen knife are bendable made of thinner material and would flex and the tip would break when doing that amount of damage imo.

Imo the knife did not come from Travis' home just like the gun didnt.

IMO

It may very well be that she did do that. But I don't think we're going to hear much more about it other than, possibly, to support the possibility that it was someone other than her (the girl's ex?). And even if that doesn't work out, there's no way, imo, that there will be proof that she did it and certainly not to prove that she carried that knife with her the night she killed Travis and used it for that purpose. The jury could infer it, sure. But, imo, no way can the prosecution prove it. The gun is much, much stronger, imo, and I don't think the prosecution even put any affirmative evidence on about where the knife came from. Maybe I missed it, though.

Can you imagine if some young lady, perhaps your daughter, was murdered by Jodi because she thought Travis was seriously dating her?

I honestly see that happening with Jodi in how she felt Travis was officially hers and was possessive of him in the company of others.

Gus Searcy

Cindy Beaver
Rosemary Zednick
Rosa Lopez

Do you know what these people have in common?!? And no its not six degrees of Kevin Bacon. ;)

They all have names that are also euphemistic terms? :floor laugh:

All defense witnesses who injected themselves into a trial and provided faulty "eyewitness" testimony that backed up the defendant. I remember Rosa Lopez well from the OJ trial.

Agree. I read your post to suggest that Travis was NOT serious about Mimi. My bad if I misinterpreted it.

Same with the doggie door. I interpreted your post as stating it as established fact.

she wasn't charged with second degree iirc.. she was charged with first.. the SA refused the offer of a plea deal on that lesser charge.

Has anyone heard of this before? I am following this case like it is my full time job, but this is the first I have heard of this. Did I miss something?

Jodi rented a car 90 miles away in Redding, CA to make the trip to "go see Ryan". Jodi rented a car in Yreka, CA before she was arrested for murder. Now if one was simply going to go on a roadtrip to Utah to see a new male friend then why rent a car 90 miles away? It is not because there are no car rental places in Yreka since she clearly rented one in Yreka when she was planning her getaway. The car rental in Redding points to trying to hide the fact that she rented a car, IMO. One of Jodi's problems is that she is NOT as smart as she thinks she is.

She didn't hide this fact from her brother or sister-in-law. She went back to her brother's house in Redding to take a nap, and her sister-in-law took her to rent the car. Then she went to see friends in Santa Cruz/Monterey with the rental car. It doesn't seem to me, now, that she was hiding it.

Now whether she did not want the car to be recognized in AZ is a separate question, and that's certainly possible.

This jury should not have to be sequestered. Just take the likes of NG and JVM off the air. Sometimes I think they are on the defense team, just saying the wildest things!

Jodi..."glad our paths crossed."

Jodi..."Travis would be alive today if he hadn't met me."

I thought it was Lisa Andrews Daidone that would not get serious with Travis until he dealt with Jodi.

Not sure JA needed to crawl in through the doggie door. I remember reading in Det. Flores' report that one of the roommates, Zach, said the front door was never locked. See pg. 7
