What happened to Gus????

Nowadays everybody wanna talk like they got something to say
But nothing comes out when they move their lips
Just a bunch of gibberish
And mothas act like they forgot about us....
:laughcry:

I hope Gus will release a statement or hold a press conference letting us know what happened behind closed doors and also let us know how he's feeling and what he's going to eat for dinner. And also a whole bunch of other irrelevant stupid crap nobody cares about.

no tweets or anything about what happened with Gus? lol I would love to know if he gave up the phone number or not. I'm reserving judgement until I know if he thought he was trying to protect someone, or if he's just a liar!

with that said ... :floorlaugh::floorlaugh: @ him not having a lawyer handy :floorlaugh::floorlaugh: I'm still giggling!

I still maintain my opinion that Chris Hughes has committed some no-no's in this case. Trying to maneuver/persuade/denigrate potential (or actual) witnesses. Now it may not be a legal no-no, but it smacks of sleaziness.

Thanks.

Anyone can ask a person that has been abused would they stalk......and obsess over their abuser and IMO they would tell you 'hell no.' The only light at the end of a long tunnel is finally getting away from the abuser where they no longer come around.

Travis' murder fits the profile as a domestic violence homicide. The abused person is in far more danger and at a greater risk for being murdered in the first three months after they try to escape their abuser's clutches. Travis didnt even make it three months.:(

What???????? Most of 'US' posters?:waitasec:

Who is "most"?

As an abuse survivor please dont include me in that 'most' .I certainly dont think Travis ever abused Jodi in any manner. She was away from him all the way in CA. Imo it was Jodi that kept pursuing him even after he told her clearly they would never be together forever. He did not lie to her. He was straight up with her but she was having none of it. She would do just as she had always done. Show up unannounced giving him no warning she was coming. Heck she probably came through the doggie door again.

She is nothing but an obsessive psychopath imo. When they can no longer control their victim some will murder the victim to get rid of them so they cant have a life without them.

Abused? I see no evidence of that. I do see a master manipulator in Jodi Arias who uses sex as control tool.

The email from Chris was way back in December 2007. Travis had tried to move on and Jodi moved to CA. No one made her come back there. No one made her call him. No one made her have sex with him. He was doing just fine without Jodi in his life.

It isnt as if Jodi Arias was some shy, withdrawn, damsel in distress. :floorlaugh: Jodi Arias was a very wordly woman who had been around the sexual block many times.

If she had never crossed paths with Travis Alexander he would be alive today.

IMO

I've apologized several times for including "posters" in my comment.

I also have stated several times that NOTHING TA did warranted his horrible death period!

I only started this whole discussion when CH emails were mentioned that CH wrote an email to TA stating he felt TA was treating JA badly. And I wrongly commented that "most of us" would agree that TA maybe didn't treat JA all that great. MY BAD!!!

All I meant to say is.... someone can UNINTENTIONALLY harm someone emotionally and someone can FEEL emotionally harmed. This is just a fact.

Caps for tonal emphisis not anger/yelling etc.

the media thread is updated.. thanks to EVERYONE who posted transcripts, pictures, and video.

I am now off to target to purchase a pair of hip waders so I may, myself, venture into the media thread and watch what I missed.

I think I may grab a beer and some popcorn too.

and it will affect the way the jury sees him.

Why was his head not shown?
He said he didn't want to be photographed. I imagine he's looking out for his family and doesn't really want to be connected to this any more than necessary.

Yes it was her former boyfriend who she dumped for Travis.

I did! I was drugged by an unknown spirit ..either that or I watched a video of Gus Searcy doing some kind of a "white man Samba" in a blue sash (Gawd the man loves to accessorize himself doesn't he? he was probably also wearing his salesman brooch while dancing) and it caused me to go in to a trance. I woke up and it was all over!

What happened??

The defence had Gus on the stand again about the phone conversation he had with Chris Hughes, when CH called him to ask about him (Gus) being on the witness list (the same conversation they were talking about in the hearing yesterday).

Nurmi then asked Gus if someone was in the car with him at the time of the call, Gus said yes, and Nurmi asked if the person was hesitant to come forward. Then Gus said yes they were, because (iirc) they were 'worried' about Chris Hughes finding out about it. He made it sound like it was someone who was working with or rather under Chris in Legal Shield, and that they were worried Chris was going to cause this person problems if he found out (that they were in the car with Gus? I'm not sure what exactly this person was allegedly so worried about).

Basically, it sounded a lot like an attempt to discredit Chris Hughes, to make him seem like a threatening, bullying type of person because htis unknown passenger in the car was so worried about him.

Then Martinez asked Gus (with a grin) "So who was that person?" and Gus replied "That's not relevant." To which Martinez awesomely replied "that's not how this works."

Sidebar, and the judge decided that Gus should write the name of that person down and that it would be part of the sealed court records and not made public.

Gus didn't want to do it. He kept asking "What if I refuse?", the judge was all "I order you to do it" and still he refused. After a bit of back and forth he said "Can I plead the fifth", to which the judge replied that they'd have to confer on that, and does Gus have a lawyer he can ask for counsel on this matter.

Turns out, Mr. Legal Shield has no lawyer he can call :floorlaugh:

Then the public was asked to leave the courtroom and the judge said they were going to have a "procedure" without the public, and when the broadcast came back, Gus was gone.

It was a thing of beauty.

I sure hope Gus is doing this :jail:, even if only for one night. I don't think it's likely, but one can dream...
