I still maintain my opinion that Chris Hughes has committed some no-no's in this case. Trying to maneuver/persuade/denigrate potential (or actual) witnesses. Now it may not be a legal no-no, but it smacks of sleaziness.

And you based this opinion on?

Nurse, it's the phone # of the person in the car with him, but I'm guessing there wasn't anyone in the car.

leave it to me to post about something before watching it hahahhaa... thanks HM:rocker:

The DA let his witness fill in the gaps for Jodi's trip nicely.. she was THERE on the 3rd. Oh and she borrowed GAS CANS.

this was just so priceless today! Even to show her obsession (or rather change in behavior) once she got onto the PPL train. (and the sex piece and her aggression)

The jury just has to be like...say what? Say huh? No wonder they had no questions for this guy. No questions needed. They saw on the big screen her purchases and where they fell off the grid.

Now who was in the car with gus and why won't he say? And what is up with his phone number? He has it posted all over the freaking internet. (to include his business calendar)

Gus just wanting to be difficult. More airtime that way. Or else he is nuts and perjured himself.

ignore button is awesome. i love it....keeps me away from timeouts.

And I hope that those who were complaining about the treatment of Gus by Martinez can finally see WHY he was treated that way...yeeesh

Oh, the ignore feature is my friend. But when others quote those posts it's hard to ignore, I have to work on that.

I could use an ignore button in real life. Otherwise it's just rude lol.

Did he say that? I think he said he didn't ask her to take the pictures. Not that they weren't taken with consent or without his knowledge. He also said that he didn't ask her to delete them, and doesn't know what happened to them.

Big difference between, "She did it without me asking" and "I didn't want her to, and she did anyway."

Here are a couple of things I learned today:

JA is accusing Travis (the dead victim) of making her do anal sex, yet according to her ex, she is very experienced in this "area".

JA not only took pictures of Travis in the shower (which I firmly believe he did not know), right before she stabbed/sliced/shot him to death, she took pictures of her ex in the shower. He did state (in so many words )he wasn't aware of it. I believe his words were something like...he didn't ask her to take them.

The problem JA has, after today, is SHE has the pattern. You can't claim someone made you do a certain sexual act, claim it's so vile you had to kill them...yet, you did the same thing with your ex.

The gas cans...now, that just sunk her for premeditated murder.

Because if he goes so far as to attempt to intimidate defense witnesses, I think it's relevant to the potential credibility of his testimony.

He's not a witness. The jury will never hear from him unless the defense calls him, and I don't think they will.

Haha I forgot it was the first day of the defense's case in chief today until Nancy just mentioned it.. yeah it was that bad of a day for the defense.

tigerbalm: was that a "legitimate" bombshell

My guess, after watching this trial, is that the defense is actually setting up their poor defense for an appeal. I think they just want out of it. There is no way they can win and I can't imagine that they don't see it. All of this is funny until the realization hits that this could all end very badly.

We are zipping through over 100 pages in less than a day!

this ex bf will be a rebuttal witness... to get more details on what she was driving, hair color at the time, etc.

MOO of course

Hey, maybe she dyed her hair while she was with this BF.

IDK, I'm still having horrible flashbacks of a not guilty verdict. I know, I probably need counseling.

NG BOMBSHELL: defendant is anything but bored behind bars, she has a girlfriend.

Wonder if we'll get a NG exclusive interview with the girlfriend.
Wonder if NG will ask questions about the nature of their relationship.

Show us whatya got NG (but not visually in pictures)!

It bothers me how some keep accusing those of us who believe Travis was the victim in the relationship, (ya' know, the guy who was brutally, viciously murdered by a woman who had been stalking him, according to the victim, who was crazy and evil, according to his friends, and who appeared to have pre-planned the murder and then coolly lied about it later, changing her story several times), of "canonizing" Travis or calling him a saint or perfect.

With respect, those of you who think Travis was a dog keep repeating, along with this negative opinion, that you don't believe he deserved to die. You insist this, over and over again (even while insisting, over and over again that Travis was a dog, something completely irrelevant if you don't really think he deserved to be killed - or that there was any justification for his murder).

You want everyone to believe that you don't think jodi was justified in "losing it" and killing Travis, despite continually pointing out that he was a dog, yet you totally ignore our repeated statements that Travis was not perfect and accuse us of acting like he was, just because some of us find that jodi arias was the sociopath and Travis the unwitting victim who was played and then destroyed via the ultimate act of domestic violence.

I don;t think that's fair. Not one of us has called Travis a saint. And what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Thanks wasn't enough for this one! You speak for me as well. He was not perfect, and who is? But she has displayed more than enough signs of predatory behavior to convince me that she was the one who wouldn't let it go. AND she is an admitted murderer.

I don't ever lose sight of who the true victim in this crime is, and it is NOT Jodi Arias.

I have a feeling that Nancy had already left the courtroom to meet a deadline, not expecting Gus to screw himself. Oops, I answered the wrong post. Sorry.

I know you guys hate when T's behavior is singled out. But 2 weeks ago I told my male coworker (who is the same age as Travis) about this case, the stalking, the crazy, the sex, and then the murder and it was HIS opinion (his, NOT mine), that if a guy plays with "crazy/obsessive" then something bad is gonna happen. Not usually murder of course, but it can and does happen and my male coworker saw the "gray area" of Travis continuing to have sex with someone who was stalker/obsessive. Just throwing it out there cause this is coming from a straight 33 yr old dude who never heard of this murder and has no idea who any of these people are and no bias one way or the other.
