NG and people just confused Lisa with Mimi, and went right on reporting Lisa was the one going on the Cancun trip. NG does not know this case like we do.

Plus JVM still thinks Travis had that tee shirt made specifically for Jodi, not his blog.

NG is too busy trying jail food and looking at the pink jail undergarnments to get names and facts straight.

I think we all agree that Travis was an imperfect human being. Defending Travis and believing that Jodi brutally murdered him without justification is not the equivalent of thinking Travis was perfect and flawless.

I think most of us also agree that Jodi murdered Travis without justification, legal or otherwise. Pointing out that Travis used bad judgment ("was playing with fire") when he remained engaged with a clearly unstable, stalker-ish ex-girlfriend is in no way implying that Travis somehow deserved what he got, or that Jodi was justified in murdering him, or that he brought this on himself.

Most excellent and eloquent post. :rocker:

Sigh...I can't wait for them to try and sell that to the jury (if they have the cojones) and have Martinez show them the back side.

:what:

I personally stated I didn't find Chris Hughes to be belligerent at all but was guffawed at Gus Searcy's response to a sitting judge.

One can disagree without resorting to condescension in my opinion.
And you don't think your admittedly facetious comment -

So what's worse...

Chris Hughes asking to see the entirety of an email exchange prior to answering under oath?

or...

Gus Searcy refusing to answer a question when ordered to do so by the judge?

- was condescending?

:floorlaugh:

Alrighty.

It sounded to me like CH was advising Travis to stop leading her on, stop giving her hope. That type of 'abuse'. I don't think the defense is going to be able to find any evidence of the kind of abuse they're talking about that 'forced' her to kill him in self defense. Not unless she testifies to it.

I agree, Chris probably said ...dude, just cut the chord, she's bad news and besides it's not really fair to keep her on the hook when you know she's not the one.

The defense has very very little to work with though so they might call him cuz this is as close as they can get to proving any kind of "abuse"

How about coming up with a WS "gang sign"? Something to flash when you know the camera's on you. Something discreet. Like flapping your arms 6 times and clapping once. Let me know. Keep it simple. :)

Maybe the WSers can wear an off the shoulder zebra striped shirt.

Nevermind.

Yeah, I don't know. I thought that was weird, but maybe he figured Martinez would place nice? I know I wouldn't if I were Martinez.

To me, it was the equivalent of someone trying to win an argument or put someone down and saying "I'm not the only person who thinks this about you" to bolster their position but are unwilling to serve up that person. Ultimately it shows them to have a weak position but it does put questions in the other person's minds through innuendo. I would think a lawyer would know these loose ends would not be allowed.

It bothers me how some keep accusing those of us who believe Travis was the victim in the relationship, (ya' know, the guy who was brutally, viciously murdered by a woman who had been stalking him, according to the victim, who was crazy and evil, according to his friends, and who appeared to have pre-planned the murder and then coolly lied about it later, changing her story several times), of "canonizing" Travis or calling him a saint or perfect.

With respect, those of you who think Travis was a dog keep repeating, along with this negative opinion, that you don't believe he deserved to die. You insist this, over and over again (even while insisting, over and over again that Travis was a dog, something completely irrelevant if you don't really think he deserved to be killed - or that there was any justification for his murder).

You want everyone to believe that you don't think jodi was justified in "losing it" and killing Travis, despite continually pointing out that he was a dog, yet you totally ignore our repeated statements that Travis was not perfect and accuse us of acting like he was, just because some of us find that jodi arias was the sociopath and Travis the unwitting victim who was played and then destroyed via the ultimate act of domestic violence.

I don;t think that's fair. Not one of us has called Travis a saint. And what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

THIS really needed to be said! THANK YOU!!

I think if he flat-out refused to write it down after she ordered, he should have been held in contempt. But he didn't. He asked what would happen if he refused, and attempted to address his concerns.

I can see his predicament if he was genuinely concerned about the welfare of another person, so I don't know. His mistake was not having counsel on standby. If you're going to ruffle the feathers of either side, you should be prepared and protect yourself.

I agree. In rewatching that part of the testimony, I'm liking Gus more and more. He does seem concerned about the fears of retaliation/repercussions held by this person in the car. When he was told the name would be sealed and who would have access, he thought for awhile. It seems he does not trust the prosecution with this info for fear they will leak it. I think he truly believes there was misconduct. But I don't know who he thinks the culprit is. If this is true, good for GS for protecting the intimidated part. It reinforces my dislike for CH and his power trip. MOO.

Hey Jo. Thanks.
The pictures of the ex in the shower. Show JA was there while TA was bleeding, show TA died a horrid death in less than 3 min.
Maybe wasn't sure deposits would go thru quick enough. She used credit and or debit cards on this trip also.

I personally think she was going to burn the house down too... or at least burn evidence.
Interesting

Well that was informative "this time she's charmed her way with the same sex, with a female."

Glad we straightened THAT out.

She may have read GS's book. It's called "Charmed". lol

During her bombshell, she also said that Darryl disclosed that JA was going to *California* near TA... or something to that effect. :what:
