CH sure firmly believed there was more to that conversation from TA.
But he also wasn't even sure of the context of the e-mail.

It was years ago. Mistakes happen. I'm not saying it was on purpose, just likely if that's the entire chain that was submitted.

Not all words repeated over and over again are golden. There are times you learn more just by listening.

Matthew Bartlett was held in contempt of court and spent time in jail for flipping off the prosecutor in court

okay...should have said that most reasonable judges in most reasonable jurisdictions have bigger fish to fry. I don't know the details of the incident on the youtube video, but a completely ambiguous extension of a middle finger by a member of the gallery (as here) shouldn't take up the courts time or attention in a dp case, imo.

I remember that so well. Too bad "you know who" never had to face any consequences for her little incident. IMO :furious:

BTW, this may be an unpopular thought, but I'll say it anyway.

First let me say that this does NOT excuse TA's murder.

At the risk of sounding prejudiced, I think TA was a lot like Gus. People involved at the very top of pyramid schemes make me ill. I'd wager 99.9% of them know that the people at the bottom are getting :censored: I'd also be willing to wager that TA wouldn't have referred to it as a pyramid scheme, like Gus he'd probably call it a circle.

To give an example; Years ago in Rochester some Kodak workers started a classic pyramid scheme called the "Airplane" game. I'll let Wiki explain it;

Pyramid scheme - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The "Eight-Ball" model

Many pyramids are more sophisticated than the simple model. These recognize that recruiting a large number of others into a scheme can be difficult so a seemingly simpler model is used. In this model each person must recruit two others, but the ease of achieving this is offset because the depth required to recoup any money also increases. The scheme requires a person to recruit two others, who must each recruit two others, who must each recruit two others.
The "eight-ball" model contains a total of fifteen members. Note that unlike in the picture, the triangular setup in the cue game of eight-ball corresponds to an arithmetic progression 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 15. The pyramid scheme in the picture in contrast is a geometric progression 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 = 15.

Prior instances of this scheme have been called the "Airplane Game" and the four tiers labelled as "captain," "co-pilot," "crew," and "passenger" to denote a person's level. Another instance was called the "Original Dinner Party" which labeled the tiers as "dessert," "main course," "side salad," and "appetizer." A person on the "dessert" course is the one at the top of the tree. Another variant, "Treasure Traders," variously used gemology terms such as "polishers," "stone cutters," etc. or gems like "rubies," "sapphires," "diamonds," etc.

When people got tired of the game, those who hadn't attained Captain or Copilot status were out a lot of money.

At the very beginning of a PPL or Amway type model people have a chance to build a list of clients and can make good money. Once the market is saturated it's very difficult for anyone to break in and they are chided for not working hard enough. I believe Gus said in his testimony that he gives motivational speeches because the model is so simple.

It's my opinion that TA was a user just like JA is. I believe there is evidence that he called her a "3 hole wonder". I believe that he had no intention of marrying Jodi, but kept dangling the carrot for sex. He had the T-Shirt made up saying "Travis Alexander's" he wanted her to believe that she was his one and only. JA seems to very emotionally needy and looks for validation through getting the rich attractive guy to marry her. Making that T-Shirt was, to her, like slipping a ring on her finger.

When she started going psycho on him he didn't seem to care. I think he believed that he was in complete control of her, even if she did things he didn't like, this seems narcissistic to me. I think he believed that if she flew off the handle he could deal with it easily because he was much bigger than her. However, he misjudged JA and it cost him his life.

Most women would figure out they were being played and leave the guy with another life experience to learn from.

If I was dating a woman and broke it off with her and she started doing the things JA did I'd be getting a restraining order toot sweet. TA didn't, and not only didn't he get a restraining order he continued to have sex with her. She was nothing more than a :censored: toy to him.

On that fateful night he allowed JA into the house and had sex with her and played games with the camera. I think when they were done JA hit him with an ultimatum. How he answered it would either save or cost him his life. JA had come prepared to kill him if the answer was wrong. If he had proposed to her and given her a ring he'd still be alive today. JMO

It's my belief that he was a narcissist and she is a narcissistic psychopath. I don't want to make excuses for JA, but TA wasn't the clean cut wonderful Mormon everyone seems to think he was. JMO

All of the above is JMO.

Don't see where he was a narcissist at all.....from what i can see he was confident but not cluster B material by any means. And no one here thinks he was a perfect person.....I think by now we all know he obviously wasn't-he was mortal and imperfect and flawed-like all of us. We all know he made bad choices-something we have all done at least once in our lived. Why you feel you have to rehash this whole argument AGAIN about how he was flawed and how he made bad choices and xzy is really beyond me...

That was great! Way to go judge! Did a mini hearing/trial (whatever it is called) right in the middle of CA's trial. Cuffed him right then and there. Bartlett gave a full-on middle finger and the judge saw it. Zebra girl's gesture was not so obvious and the judge did not notice it or if she did, let it slide.
I am surprised Zebra (I would call her by her name if I knew it) was not barred from the room. Her dress is horrible, her demeanor horrible. When I was on a jury the court was picky about clothing.

You had me up until the BBM part. Any woman knows you aren't going to get a ring on it if you are giving it up for free. No way, did Jodi go there that night, have anal sex, take those pictures and expect a marriage proposal! She may have thought she was the "one" before the tire slashing stuff, hacking the accounts, but after that, no way! He was long gone (in his mind) from the marriage stuff before she starting the stalking stuff. I think he was wrong for having sex with her that night, but I firmly believe she knew it was a piece of 🤬🤬🤬, so to speak, and she had planned to murder him that night, period. She took a gun, borrowed gas cans, paid cash..total premeditation.

You have repeatedly typed about ONE EMAIL for 8 hours!!!! everytime i try to catch up on posts they are 80% full with THE SAME DEAD POINT to multiple posters!!!! we get it - you have an opinion about how CH handled the email today but if each of us wants to argue about one issue all day long then there will be about 1,000 pages a day to read. i will respect you posting your opinion - JUST NOT 300 TIMES. Respond if you must but as far as i'm concerned, this discussion is closed. I've expressed my opinion and won't jumble the posts with the same thing over & over out of respect for this PUBLIC forum. Thank you.
It is not my fault if others ask me questions or contest my opinions. A few times, because someone has not understood what took place. Are you suggesting I should not respond to them, simply because it inconveniences you? I have also talked about many other things in addition to the e-mail.

When you're one of few introducing largely dissenting opinions in the thread, you become the subject of many replies. So, yes, I will most likely be replying to many different people and saying the same thing over and over. In addition, wasn't I just lectured about how I should be lenient on others because not everyone reads the same stuff at the same time and people come into the thread late and may still have questions, etc? If I don't want to repeat myself, I should rethink posting?
