FACT... the media doesn't care who's lives they ruin. I kinda felt bad for her ex Mr Brewer. All he ever did was love the psycho. I fear for the impact this will have on him and especially his son. I'm sure the media will be camped out at his doorstep looking for a story. IF he didnt want his face shown he should have at least made sure that his picture was taken down from Jodi's photography myspace. Again... not his doing or fault. Jodi Arias has wrecked so many lives. Maybe her plan all along was to take as many with her as she could when she 'went down' Even Gus Searcy... the slime that he is.. will suffer. I see his so called Legal business (that clearly is a scam since HE can't get legal help when he needs it) will take a huge plunge. Ok... so maybe I don't feel too bad for Gus... or his pyramid (oops CIRCLE) scheme.
I'm sure that she's keeping a tally in that little notebook of hers. In her sick and twisted mind she probably thinks that even in jail she is still in control and able to get back at every man she ever had contact with... Ugggh!
I am just watching the BF and he seemed to be holding a lot of things back imhoo.

I missed it, but is there a reason why the ex-boyfriend is not being televised?

I believe InSession is saying because he doesnt want his son to see him testify.....

Couldn't have been Jodi since the call was just recently. Unless Sheriff Joe is slacking. Or maybe he fell for Jodi's feminine wiles and gave her a little R&R. lol

Maybe I'm mixed up on the timing. I thought they were discussing waaaaaay back when. Sorry about that. Maybe ol Gus was having a little affair on the side? Didnt he just get married like.. last year?

How many of is are thinking she did 'special favors' for ol Gus? Ewwww!
Yuck, yuck, yuck!!!

I'm thinking she had 2 skills. Being a waitress and having sex. I doubt she could pick up a one night waitress job but sex...there are lots of men looking at street corners with cash in hand.

Of course, I'm just speculating here but, could that be a possibility? I guess there's no way to find out where the $800 came from.

EWWWW! I wouldn't even let that man on the same side of the street as me!

Jodi has her "back street" boys....is Gus one of them?

There WAS someone in the car with him. Someone doesn't act the way that he did when asked. It was either Jodi OR someone his current wife doesn't know about or care for. OR someone very intimidated by Chris Hughes. It'll come out... the secrets have a way of coming out sooner or later. Two thumbs up for Juan Martinez! You know he was loving that moment!! I like him more and more as the trial goes on. But that's just me. MOO

I don't know Laceybug it struck me funny. I thought Gus was trying to explain why the phone conversation didn't go very far because he wasn't alone, someone else was in the car. I thought he said that to stop the line of questioning and then when the prosecutor demanded to know who was in the car with him Gus wasn't prepared because there wasn't anyone there.

I hope that Juan Martinez could care less about someone's infidelitys and pursued this because the refusal to answer is to cover a lie. Will be interesting to see if the answer does comes out or if Gus writes the name Bozo the Clown as his passenger and the public never knows.

I don't think we will ever know the complete relationship between GS and JA. Weird that he claims he had only met her in person 4 times and had exchanged phone calls with her yet he allows her to stay in his mobile home for a couple of nights and gives her a cell phone. If there wasn't anything sexual going on between them he was sure working on it becoming that way! Also, to me it shows that if she has to go to GS for help she truly didn't have any friends.

I was watching In Session this morning and the mortgage payment was mentioned, $1,700.00 a month. How in the world could they afford this with her working in at pizza parlor, and he with no job, (or did he have a job). Even if he had a job, how could Arias pay 1/2 of ALL expenses even with two low paying jobs. Perhaps this was addressed and I missed it.......PLEASE can anyone enlighten me! Thanks!!!

In the cross Mr. brewer admitted the mortgage was actually $2800 a month. Jodi's portion was $1400. She used this guy.

will there be live testimony today? or is it tomorrow?

not likely. What could his ex do now? Go take him to court and say that 8-10 years ago he dated an accused murderer and he isn't fit to parent now? He's moved on and remarried and presumably has made a far saner choice of a life partner. The most she can do now is chew him out....so that scenario does not seem likely.

He's not married and shares custody. I just don't think he, or his ex want what happened with Jodi while they were living together on Nancy Grace for the next 15 weeks. I believe he is trying to protect his son and not Jodi. jmo

Juan Martinez subsequently amended it to $2,800 per month. Darryl Brewer's response? "It could have been."

Those receipts clearly show her premeditation. She must have known they would be found. The receipts show her getting gas in California and on the way from Utah to home but NO purchases of gas from Cali to Mesa. It was all part of her alibi. She did say she was never in Mesa. If it were not for the pictures with the time stamps it might have been almost impossible to prove that she was ever there. At least that is my understanding.
They still have that pesky palm print that Jodi left on the wall in Travis' blood that puts her in Mesa right about the time of his death.

IMO

I think he was using her too.

yesterday... I kept thinking, why in the world did she keep those receipts?? Is she a bit of a hoarder? lol I remember seeing all those boxes in her room at her grandparents.

Tax writeoffs. So when ya start making the mega bucks you'll have offsets so the tax man can't clean ya out entirely.

Per Christie Paul on InSession, Darryl Brewer didn't want his son to see him testify, that is why his face wasn't shown.

Makes sense. Geez, he was answering questions about anal sex.

listening to beth. this is my question too. WHY did the judge allow nurmi to ask those questions of CH about the letters that are not even coming in to evidence in this case? why? his whole line of questioning had nothing whatsoever to do with his charge of prosecutorial misconduct. so again, WHY?

My take on it was: the Defense put CH and his wife on their witness list. CH said he thought the defense only did this to keep them out of the courtroom. Then the Defense went on to say, but we do have reason to call you, don't we? and then it went to the letters. So it was to show that they did have reason to put him on the list, but I'm not sure exactly how it relates to the prosecutorial misconduct. (maybe something to do with CH telling Gus that he didn't like the defense lawyers, and he is a liar, etc.) It really was kind of confusing and seemed to stray from what the hearing was about. Maybe there was a point to it though, maybe we will find out when they continue the hearing.
