Gotta love this place! Only here can regular folk disagree with professionals and actually feel like they are right! :)

No shortage of strong opinions here! I think it's great and makes for a lively discussion.

:what: I don't know about you guys,,,,,but if it were not for the camera in the courtroom, I would have a very skewed view of what went on based on the coverage on Jane VM and Nancy G.

(What happened to Jean C??? It's like she is on the DT payroll.)

Huge waste watching these shows, mostly.

Very true ... Which is why I'm so grateful for Beth Karas who IMO can always be counted on to keep it real!

I really hope you are right. However, if/when she does testify, Websleuths will probably crash! :)

:blushing: I only hope JA doesn't testify on Tuesday when my girlfriends are coming over for lunch. I tried to schedule the gathering for Saturday when there is no court. I am a little hooked. :blushing:

You are absolutely right about this one! :D

I just heard that this is the biggest case since Casey Anthony so that is why she is trying to get back in the spotlight with her bankruptcy. She can't stand coming in second place for narcissist of the year.

Does anyone know what happened to the juror who asked a question about a witness who was questioned outside of the juries presents?

The name in Wesson was in testimony.see time line thread

I want to point out something else about the photos taken of their "sex session" right before the slaughter and the ones of Travis in the shower.

Not one photo shows them together in the photos. These photos (to me) do not look like a happy couple who has just had sex. Even Jodi looks strange in the ones of her front. (OK, she looks strange from the back too, but I am NOT touching that again).

People say that they had sex because there are photos of them both nude, the KY is there, yada yada. Frankly, Travis looks pizzed in every one of them and although I won't go so far as to say that he didn't pose for any of them, it is plausible to me that he didn't.

He was laying there nude. It was June. Maybe he was hot.

The KY was there. Jodi could have snuck up while he was laying there nude and put the KY there next to him. He doesn't look happy when his hand is up in the air and, in fact, I believe he looks startled.

The nude photos of Jodi - She was a photographer (albeit crappy one). A trained monkey can learn to set up a timer on a camera. Sure, the backside one looks like she was rode hard and put away wet, but how do we know if this might be the way she always looks.

The photos in the shower of Travis - he doesn't look happy in the least bit and even looks like he is just then noticing that she is still there.

I would be very wary of these photos to prove that he let her in and had sex willingly with her. Nothing would surprise me about her and I wouldn't put it past her to totally set the entire thing up.

ITA. I've thought that right from the first time I saw those shower pics. He doesn't look like a willing participant to me. Same goes for the nude photos - he doesn't look terribly into it. It's not much of a stretch to believe she could stage that scene given the lengths she went to to cover her tracks. IMO very planned, absolutely premeditated, and I think she is going down.

ETA: I think the gas cans are a huge nail in her coffin. JM must have thought he won the lottery with that one. It immediately made me think of George Anthony though.....you know, him and his d*mn gas cans

It doesn't sound like there will be court Tuesday, just from the court schedule posted by a poster in the last thread. So, maybe you are safe. :)

WHAT on earth is he even doing in court with those "letters" in hand, challenging Chris Hughes as to their authenticity?? I am so confused. After YEARS, are they still trying to get them admitted as evidence? I know JA (can't say her name) is DEMANDING this of her defense attorneys.

Am sure one of their witnesses has to do with investigating & authenticating whatever material this is in being "electronic".

OK - this is ridiculous. I don't know how you guys do this! I am literally squirming around every expectation and attention my family assumes & expects from me with flimsy excuses and all! Yikes… And this is going to go on for how long?

Trying to sway public opinion, and apparently successfully from some of the comments here.

Oh there's still plenty of side discussions (that don't matter imo ) We have the gun verses stab first argument, eyeball reflection pixel discussion, the did Travis know he was being photographed, etc.... No shortage of stuff!

Well some of us believe in a fair and impartial trial, so I think we should at least let her finish her sorry defense.

:nono: If I may refresh your recollection:

Juan Martinez: I'm gonna object to this portion of him reading this, clearly these letters have been shown to be forged by the defendant and the fact that he's reading them is inappropriate.

Direct to the above statement by JM: http://youtu.be/2QodsaSRoDg?t=17m22s
Testimony regarding the letters starts here: http://youtu.be/2QodsaSRoDg?t=11m32s

You may lol. That's why I said afaik, because it's irrelevant to my point -- which is that Nurmi wouldn't have stood up there with a letter "shown to be forged by the defendant" if the Court had ruled that it was, in fact, a forgery. Or that he would have lied about the conflicting expert report. He wouldn't have done either of those things, imo, and if he had, there would have been a far more ballistic response by the State and the Court. Johunt made a good point about "a" letter v. "the" letters. We shall see. I'm standing by my opinion that there's an expert that says Travis likely wrote a letter that's damaging to the State's case and that the Court has not yet definitively excluded it because it would be insane to exclude evidence which is the subject of conflicting expert reports in a capital case. jmo

Thanks! I cooled down after I got it all off my chest, went out to dinner with Mr. and Lil Knots and did some squeezing on mah girl, telling her what an awesome person she is, and how lovely, too! Just the way she is!

It was cathartic!

I appreciate your welcome! :)

She travelled all those miles, stole her Grandfather's gun, died her hair, rented a car 90 miles away, borrowed (!) gas cans, no receipts in AZ.

Perhaps, perhaps I am wrong! What say you people?
