The Strange Saga Of How We Fixed Websleuths. Yes, this is all true.

Tricia, you cashed in how many silver dollars?? Hate to mention this but, I can't even begin to estimate how much those silver dollars might have been worth, just on the silver content alone.

Sorry about this entire experience, especially so soon after the passing of your beloved father. My sincere condolences.

Buzz, these were face value "silver" dollars. Copper in the middle. All circulated. We checked the day after we divided them up just to make sure.

My father does have a safety deposit box with the ones worth more than face value. Not touching those ones.

Trish. So sorry to hear about your father, and your husband leaving the country, and your son taking the death so hard, and to top it off the problems with WS!!! I am amazed you are even able to concentrate at all!

Thank you for all your hard work. I really missed WS. I do not post often but I read ALL the time here.

Thanks again :blowkiss:

Um... your husband chose to go out of town 4 days after your Dad passed?? You may be a better woman than I, but this ticks me off.

OH IrishMist my dear, this story is a whole book. More to it but very personal as you can understand.

My little wiener dog just brought in a dead muskrat and plopped it on my lap, looked at me like, "See how wonderful I am"?

Lord, I hope this is not a sign of how the rest of my day will be.

Thanks Tricia, that makes me feel better.

I do understand.

Now, be a good wiener-mommy and tell him what a good doggie he is, go throw up, and meet us back here :D

PS- I prefer to look at it this way... you are getting all of your bad luck out of the way for awhile. :)

Tricia, my condolences on the loss of your father. Hugs to you and your son...I sure hope you never have to go into a scary check cashing place ever again!

Thank you for all you do!

Wow...... ummmm thank you.

I am so glad to have WS back, but I feel really badly that you spent your silver dollars on the software. :(

I'm sorry that you had to deal with the scary check cashing place.

I hope everything turns out ok with your credit card that is not really yours.

I hope you and your son are doing ok and I hope your Dh will be back soon.

I don't use PayPal, but I wish there were some way to help.

I will keep your family in my prayers.

Ditto - Thanks for all you do to keep this place running.

Sweet Tricia! :blowkiss: I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. Thank you for sharing the story of getting Websleuths back up with us. This forum and the people here are precious to me, and something very real was missing from my life on the days when the site was down.

The story is funny to read now, but I'm sure it didn't feel that way at the time! You're a goddess and we deeply appreciate everything you (and the Mods) do to keep this amazing place up and running.

Much love,

SCM

Wow Trish, don't know how you managed to keep your wits about you dealing with this, especially so soon after the loss of your father.

I tried emailing you, I think that may have been a stupid move as I don't know if you got both of them or not :waitasec:

I even asked your webmaster at FFJ why I couldn't register there :blushing:

Dear Tricia,

I don't believe anyone who's a regular here would think your post was a "sob story" in search of donations. You were sharing your ordeal, as we all do here from time to time. (And what an ordeal!)

Nonetheless, if you change your mind about donations, please let me know.

I always think of WS as a very desirable, private dinner party to which I am very fortunate to be invited. Were it a physical dinner party, I would bring at least a bottle of wine.

And I would be happy to do at least that much here.

Nova

Nova you always put into words exactly how I feel. :blowkiss:

Tricia, we love you and love WS and we are so grateful to be all back together. Prayers for you and your DS, hang in their sweety, you have all of us right behind you 110%.

I joined an Aussie forum a couple of years ago and we paid $20.
For that we got a T Shirt, a pen and a couple of business cards.

I would be more than happy to contribute to WS, I was so lost without it, words cannot express how grateful I am to have been able to log on this morning. :blowkiss:

Nova is good that way, isn't he, Shelly?

You didn't do too bad yourself, though, when you said:

This explains how I feel.

Indeed! Shelly summed up my feelings exactly.

(Thanks for the kind words, guys. That's only ONE reason why I need WS! LOL.)

Thank you for ending my withdrawl symptoms!!!

I never realized just how much I enjoy WS and the people here. This place is my "me" time- my sanity! I'd be more than willing to contribute to WS if ever needed!

tricia....i am probably one of the first ones who emailed you....after you let me know what happened i felt at a loss as far as getting the word out since i am such a newbie here, but i was ready to post at other forums if need be......so glad to see this place back up, and again, my condolences....in case you didn't catch my email reply to you, again, don't rush things.....when you are ready, that's good enough.....I lost my mom five years ago; my dad, ten.....no matter what your age, when the second parent dies, you feel like a total orphan. I would also love to donate. and although i am a newbie, if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.:woohoo:

Tricia,

First and foremost please accept my condolences on the loss of your father, sorry to hear your son is hurting so much and my prayers are with you.:blowkiss:

Thank-you for everything you've done to get WS back up, sounds like it would make for a funny movie. Sorry it was so rough.

You are a superstar!!!

Big hugs,
Jubie

Well, now that the "shakes" from WS withdrawal are subsiding, I can post, lol.

Thank you Tricia for working so hard to keep WS going under difficult circumstances. I am praying for you and your entire family, and my condolences on your loss. :blowkiss:

You really should be a writer, that was quite the well written story, lol.

Furthermore, this is all BeeBee's fault! Literally the day, if not hours, before this happened, Beebs posted that WS used to crash all the time under previous owners, but it hadn't had a single crash since you became owner. Then CRASH! SHE JINXED IT! :p

Amazingly, our post counts remained the same, as did all previous posts. That's usually not the case. Well done Tricia!

I remember that post, DK, and I responded to it!! It's crossed my mind more than once in the last few days!
