My state borders MO. I don't have a TV so I don't know if it's been on the news, but I've seen one post on facebook and everyone I've talked to hasn't heard of the case at all.

This makes the most sense to me. I think if it were a food stamp thing, the clerk probably would have mentioned that. I think the fact that she says "two separate transactions" but nothing more, says that they were two ordinary cash/debit transactions.

I'm not convinced that the young man shown in the video is the box o' wine recipient.

It could be WIC vouchers were used to buy the baby food, then cash for the baby wipes and wine.

We have no idea if the children were in the car, or if the father was home watching the children.
This was the question I was going to ask. Why hasn't this been asked by the police or press? I think it's relevant. What if the children were home alone and the boys did something to baby Lisa. Is that a consideration? Also, the two boys are old enough to question. Is it illegal to question them, and if not, have they been questioned?

Welcome to WS! The police may have this info, but, are not telling the press or the public, to my knowledge.

Also, your scenario about the boys doing something to Lisa is a possibility. Hopefully, LE questioned the boys before the family lawyered up.

The weirdest thing about this trip is that it appears the FBI had to find a receipt to know about it.

Did the baby die while she was gone?

taadaaa. Imo that is one of the things that made LE take a stern look at the parents. Why leave the wine run information out? :waitasec:

imo

There's actually no evidence that this is the case.
Assume LE is gathering info from the house while the parents are being interrogated (questioned is the nice word). Who says they are going to wait for that before checking out anything they find?

There is no evidence this trip was concealed or misrepresented or even forgotten.

Also nothing has been stated by local LE or the FBI that says otherwise.

And please, direct your comment to the poster who made the original comment that I agreed with.
My comment was in response to:

I know, it just seems to me that the clerk would have said that if it were the case. Instead, she just says there were two transactions. Sure she could have omitted the reason, if this was it. It seems to me that she tried to give as much info as she had. So why leave out details? :waitasec:

JMO, but I don't think that many parents would allow such young children to be questioned by the police. At least I wouldn't. Or am I the odd one out?

I really think I would, especially if I was innocent. I have seen children as young as 9 on the witness stand. I don't like it, but sometimes it's necessary. MOO

Bridge card. Food stamps. Same thing. Government assistance for low income families. Alcohol and/or tobacco products cannot be purchased when using the benefits - by any name.
But can you purchase diapers and baby wipes with a Bridge card?

I'm not aware of restrictions on anything other than alcohol and tobacco products.

Something about the items purchased doesn't set well with me. I'm inclined to believe the wipes and diapers were a preplanned purchase in the absence of a baby that was probably already gone (almost an alibi of sorts, if you will) - IMHO ONLY.

Well, there's a neighbor that came and drank wine on the porch with DB that evening. What time was the neighbor at the house? Did the neighbor come by before Lisa was put to bed, during or after?

From Judge J tonight - it seemed that the neighbor, who also has a 4 yr old daughter came over early evening - when the boys and the neighbor girl were in their room watching "some sort of fantasy movie" and DB and neighbor mom sat on the porch and darnk some wine. Its funny with that explanation - no where is it said where Lisa was during that. I would like to *assume* that Lisa would have been with mom on the porch in a playpen or something - but I do believe it was before she was put to bed at 7:30

What time did the neighbor come over? Was it after Lisa had been put to bed?

Would a ten month old baby who was coughing sleep undisturbed for the entire three hours? Was it possible to hear the baby from the porch?

What time did Jeremy go to work? If he got off at around 3 a.m., he would have likely started work around 7 p.m.

When did Debbie get back from her trip to the store?

Around 6:30 p.m it would seem Steve leaves for work. I don't know but just basing this on a normal 8 hour work shift. One would think that at 6:30 the baby is alive, if that is when he left for work.

Neighbor arrives around (7:30?) and did she ever see or hear the baby?

What happened between 6:30 and 7:30? What did the boys see?

This neighbor would be a great catch for a network interview - why has this not happened? Has she been off-limits due to LE order? Would her info include that she never saw or heard Lisa at all?

MOO.

p.s. Regarding the two receipts, maybe her and the neighbor agreed to split the cost of the wine purchase, and that is also why she put that receipt in her purse so she could easily find it again.
