The Turtleneck Theory

Why were the sides of the long johns the only place tested for DNA. Remember your post, not wanting to blame anyone for their mistakes, but just wanting to solve the case? Don't you think if ML had the sheets, the blanket, JonBenet's top, her door, the wine cellar door tested, there may have been more touch DNA found? Some doors were taken by police, I just don't know which.

Would I then be more satisfied? If all these items were found with the same DNA I would at least have reasonable doubt.

Sweetheart it wasn't MY decision. If I was in charge, dang it all, I'd have had the whole house and all the contents scraped for touch DNA!! And that still wouldn't have satisfied you.

Nice Sunni,

Im more interested in seeing the Touch DNA report that says it belongs to someone other than the Rs.... Can IDI provide that info? Or are they blindly believing what they are told as they accuse RDI of doing?

Patsy did not clean her own home, so I can't see her going all the way to the basement during the busy holidays to get the blanket out of the dryer and taking it all the way back upstairs at all, not even once. I'll bet she had several blankets in use when her cleaning lady was off. There was probably always a blanket in the dryer or on top of the dryer when the lady came back to work if JonBenet really was a daily bed wetter. Patsy probably never took the pretty comforter off the bed to make it either, but just kept it folded back and lay the blanket over JonBenet or she covered herself up in it herself.

I didn't say it was your decision, I was saying you don't want to blame the DA office, but are always willing to blame the BPD, the investigators, the people who question Patsy, the experts that look at the evidence and RDI on this board. So, why not Mary Lacey? Just curious.

Imagine spilling out a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle on a table in front of you. Find two red pieces and match them together. Throw out the other 498 pieces and tell yourself, "I don't need to finish this, I know what it is, it's a picture of an apple!" When, in fact, the picture was a large, red, barn with horses out front.

Two possible pieces of evidence and IDI throws away the other 2000 or so pieces, they already know what the picture is.... Nice work, lets wrap it up and go home!

Wow, I couldn't have said it better!

Well, I don't think it was 'us' who decided this evidence was sufficient, it was LE. You know, the ones who decide these things?

If by "LE" you mean Mary Lacy, a notoriously pro-Ramsey politician with no one to hold her in check, then, yeah!

Believe me, the fact that a moron like her could be put in a position to decide something like this scares the living he** out of me!

Isn't it obvious, Sunnie? ML's on their team.

Well, as morons go, she seems to have been more intelligent than all the cops. At least she was able to recognise IMPORTANT EVIDENCE rather than just have a 'totallity of evidence', which amounted to nothing more than a collection of anecdotes.

I don't think she had one intelligent bone in her body. She compromised the DA's office and her own reputation with the actions she took within her term of office. As far as recognizing 'important evidence', she fell so short it was pathetic.

Boy, I can only WISH I had the cojones to say something like that! Let me see if I have this right: a totally clueless DA, who never took a murder case to trial in her ENTIRE career and was only a marginal player in the case at it 1997-2000 height, who pegged Santa Bill as the killer on Day One and--according to people who knew her--may not have ever read the case file is somehow smarter than an ARMY of experienced LE agents, including prosecutors who actually knew how to get convictions? IS. THAT. WHAT. YOU'RE. TELLING. ME? I guess she must be, since she made sure than none of them ever came NEAR the case the whole time she was in charge!

Last I checked, I didn't have the word "Stupid" branded on my forehead!

At least she was able to recognise IMPORTANT EVIDENCE

The only thing she recognized was an opportunity to help the Rs--and by extension, herself--out. She wouldn't know important evidence if it jumped up and bit her in the butt! And that's not just my opinion!

YOU WISH! Now me, I'm more inclined to listen to someone like Michael Kane, who actually put in a little work on the case and actually knows what he's doing!

Well, she managed to recognise ONE piece of VERY IMPORTANT EVIDENCE. That's the one RDI won't recognise, because you choose not to. RDI woud rather look at the panty size, or the dolls, or whether PR smoked a cigar -- all totally unrelated to the crime.

Noooooooo!!! Sucked in against my will.....

I will not discuss the DA -v- BPD, I will not, I will not.......

Darn right, on ALL counts! The NEXT time IDI gets one of theirs in office, I hope they're a little more impressive!

No mF, that is where you are incorrect. Touch dna on long johns where there should have been evidence of John, Patsy and Linda Arndt (possibly), as well as a mixed specimen that could have been transferred there when the clothing was removed, or as it was examined, (coroner touches waistband of long johns, with gloves on, to remove them, touches undies to remove them, examines blood spot, transfers touch dan from gloves. Don't say he changed his gloves between, it's not done that way), or someone who handled the garments after the autopsy, to store them. This information would only be important if it was substantiated by the same touch, blood, semen or saliva DNA being found on other items. Touch DNA alone does not prove there was an intruder. She didn't recognize anything worth anything!

Lets not forget all the hugging, touching, patting and hand holding everyone did that day. All of that Touch DNA, that should have transfered to JBR, Where is it?????? Did it disappear into the void, with the fingerprints from the RN????????????????

Must have Agatha, or it got mixed under JonBenets nails and transferred to her undies and long johns.

SuperDave,

Also Mary Lacy has never published what type the DNA is, that was found in JonBenet's underwear. e.g. semen, or blood etc?

Nor has she published if the intruders DNA was found anywhere else in the house!

Since we know from the Ramsey' IDI theory that the intruder roamed about the house at will using various household artifacts.

Also any decision not to test elsewhere would point to selective testing being employed in defense of the Ramsey's.

With a distinct absence of evidence and lack of corroboration Mary Lacy's claims regarding the Ramsey's appear especially desparate.
