Me, either! :(

I am embarrassed to say this but I have not been myself since the verdict was read. It has deeply affected me. :( And I am trying very hard to force myself to get over it and move on.....easier said than done...

Bon,
Don't be embarrassed. Many of us feel that way. I can honestly say I will never understand the verdict....and like you don't seem to be able to get over it.

There is no justice for Caylee. That imo is most disturbing.

On June 16 when Casey and Caylee left the house, what was in Caylee's book bag? George said he remembered what time it was because of a tv program. Don't remember if George ever did say what time it was in his depo. George walked out with the two and gave them a hug as they got ready to leave in the Pontiac, Casey's car. No mention about argument the night before with Cindy either. Casey did say Caylee was going to sleep over at Zannies, correct?

I do not recall any conversation that day about Zanny at all. And George may not have known about the argument at that time, because he was at work the evening before, which was Father's Day.

I remember because Caylee, according to George, would never mention Casey's fantasy friends. According to George Caylee does mention going to see Zanny and spend the night. So a little contradiction there. Probably freaked Casey out when she spoke with this information to George. Casey must have thought dear lord, thid kid is getting too smart for her own good. I better watch out what I say around her.

I have an earlier post on this point with videos:

One part of GA testimony that stuck out was when he was discussing the last time he saw Caylee on June 16, he says with certainty that Caylee said in excitement "I'm going to see Zanny!" Yet in his FBI Interview below, he says Caylee never mentioned Zanny at any time, never. This testimony bothered me as it sounded like there was a Zanny based on what Caylee said to him.

Why did he change his story on this point? I don't think he was involved in the death of Caylee, but this embellishment of facts is strange. Is it possible he invented this event to try to cover up the fact FCA stormed out of the house early that morning on June 16 after a bitter fight with CA, providing a clear motive and state of mind to the jury? Was this done to save his daughter from getting the death penalty?

His statement is at around 8:30 of this video.

‪THE FBI INTERVIEW GEORGE ANTHONY PART 9‬‏ - YouTube

Compare that to his testimony at the beginning of this video, four minutes in:

‪Casey Anthony: Murder Trial Day 12 - 5/24/11 Part 26 "George Anthony"‬‏ - YouTube

ETA: But in the FBI interview, at 6 minutes in of this segment, he says it is FCA who told him at 12:50 p.m. on June 16 she was taking Caylee to Zanny's:

‪THE FBI INTERVIEW GEORGE ANTHONY PART 6‬‏ - YouTube

I don't get the reasoning of GA to change his story.

I was watching these videos and listening intently when I realized George has a binder sitting in front of him. Did he bring that with him? I mean who goes to the LE to give a testimony and brings a binder for reference? What was in it? did he keep documentation and Journal all of Casey's bad behavior? Does this make anybody else think --- WTH?

Also In that first video he tells the police that after the gas can incident, Casey came home, said something was wrong with her car, parked her car in the driveway and took Cindy's car. George proceeded to chase Casey (who was driving Cindy's car) down the road... What happened to this story? Was it proven to be BS? If it wasn't I guess the car didn't have that smell yet.

In the last video George tells the LE he saw into the trunk and describes to him what was in there. A plastic bin full of toys, clothes and the gas cans. So the body wasn't in the trunk during the gas can incident.

No. I think this was the most honest interview George ever gave. He was searching for answers. I'm sure he and CA had been talking at home, trying to put dates and conversations together--just like JG and AH did. Everyone was trying to put the puzzle together. At this interview George went there without CA's knowledge. Because of sunshine laws this interview was finally released. Like I said in an earlier post--I noticed a change in George after that happened.

IIRC, he called the police and asked to talk to them.

Excellent, thankyou. Now what articles were in Caylee's bookbag or knapsack?

Ok, the last time we have any positive sighting of Caylee. Did Casey bring with her at this point any items for the purpose of killing Caylee? The only item that seemed strange to me was a steak knife found in car later. But what else would she grab in the house to take with?

Interesting, because I remember quotes that said Caylee just had a blank look when asked about Zanny and she never mentioned what she did over there.

I guess we are going to need some links...how about someone who remembers it being said that Caylee mentioned Zanny finding a link or two?
That used to be part of any statement here at WS.

ITA and I just wanted to throw in something I observed in watching the Larry King episode again. At 1:28 you can see body language in CA towards GA when he starts sounding suspicious of his daughter. The obvious change is her head swivelling over to GA and giving him a piercing stare. A little harder to see is that CA's thumb changed position to make pressure on GA's hand. Immediately, GA starts praising FCA and changes course in what he was going to say.

It's just a microcosm of the bigger picture. CA helped craft the story to get her daughter off, including a total cover-up of what kind of a mother FCA was.

In fact I will throw in one other video, where 8 minutes in Tracy Maclaughlin indicates there was a story being concocted where Casey used the shovel to get the ladder out of the pool! The secrecy and collusion of their plan is evident in this bit, with FCA, GA and CA all involved in it.

First of all from what I saw of Caylee's progress, I do not see her saying "we are going to Zannies" ...Am I off base here? What purpose did George have making up this Caylee remark before she left with Casey?

Oh yes Cindy, Casey was out just 1 night partying.

Cindy's lies are endless. But I had forgot already just how revolting she is doing an interview.:sick::sick:

Yeah it makes me nauseous as well.

Without trying to elicit sympathy for her, I just want to give my opinion on CA. FCA is very clever at manipulation (yet oh so stupid at the same time) and frankly to the level of brainwashing. Bombarded with so many confusing lies, guilt trips, trauma, lack of sleep, heavy psychiatric drugs, and mystery, Cindy became very stupid and crazy. The brainwashing process is visible in the jailhouse videos where FCA is talking to her and GA. Comments by FCA like "we need to stick together as a family", "do whatever I can to clear my name", etc. were in essence nearly hypnotic commands to a very confused and vulnerable CA. The truth was too unpalatable to CA and she got spun down by FCA to where she could be used. That's what sociopaths do.

Does it excuse her lying in court? Absolutely not. And I have contempt for her still regarding this, as well as that whole family. They obfuscated the truth and downright lied under oath. Inexcusable.

Lets not forget that George and Lee are major liars. In a normal world. Yet up against Casey and Cindy, George and Lee get forgotten as lairs to a large degree. The competition for the champion liar in this sick family is ever so fierce!

After re-watching these videos any sympathy I was beginning to have for the two sorry excuses of parents/grandparents went away. I had forgotten about all their media tours of lying and spinning a web of deciet that early in the game.. for me early on my gut screamed that they knew what Casey was capabale of and they knew that Caylee was dead. Why else did they need to be on every tv show covering for her.

As for Cindy being manipulated by Casey...Oh No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Cindy is the ring leader in that Family. Look at how she controls and manipulates George. I'd bet the farm she did the same thing to Casey. Cindy is the reason Casey is what she is and who she is today.

George is a slimy as algae bloom.
Indirectly Cindy and George are the reason that Caylee is dead.

While I certainly agree CA is a manipulator herself and did not raise FCA correctly, FCA is a sociopath and history has shown these evil people don't uniformly come about because of bad parenting. However, had CA and GA done a better job of raising FCA, not enabling her, more discipline, not trying to be Caylee's mom, etc. this tragedy could have been prevented.

To me, once you have isolated who the sociopath is when there is a major felony like this, you've got the cause.

Cindy is a nut but she isn't a sociopath.
