I've been a lurker. ... I live in hiding because my abuser is like DP's twin. My life is a living hell. And I have followed along hoping for Kathy and Stacy too. I had to come out of lurking - to post YES! ... I am weeping. Just weeping.

There are times that I have been jealous of Kathy because if you escape these types of psychopaths - they hunt you like an animal and destroy you and seeking justice is almost as bad. There are times I wish my body just caught up with my past tense life. I guess that's why I was jealous. I 'talk' to Kathy in my head and assure her that life would look like this anyways if she had gotten away. Forgive my crass jealousy - I literally live in the back of a basement hidden. My life is wiped away. Our stories are so similar - except for the part where I took the threat of death 'and make it look like an accident' and the dry-runs he made that haunt me - but I escaped for now. And it's hard.

If he was found guilty I promised myself I'd find some kind of strength to go on if I can.

For Kathy and Stacy I hope too if they can convict him - I weep tears for justice FINALLY somewhere today.

P.S. Ya'll are wonderful on here and help me a lot sometimes. xoxo

Good for them. May they finally find some peace and closure.

Justice! I would love to have seen the look on the killer's face when the guilty verdict was announced.

This just came in my CNN email alerts. :yesss:

Drew Peterson was found guilty of murder by an Illinois jury in the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio.

The former Bolingbrook, Illinois, police sergeant was charged with first-degree murder in Savio's death in the bathtub of her home in 2004.

Investigators first ruled the death was an accident, but the case was reopened in 2007 when Peterson's fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, went missing. Stacy's whereabouts are still unknown, and Peterson is not facing any charges related to her disappearance.

I woke up this morning to the sounds of a man sobbing. My first concern was my son, called him & he was ok. Now I understand why My mom called her's a gift. My experiences have always been negative, until today. Thank you Great Spirit!!

I can't stop crying.

Listening to the Savio family has made the tears unstoppable. They are going to go visit "Kitty", wished the boys well. Poor Henry Savio. I realize the Savio's are very emotional right now, hoping the media doesn't tear them apart for their comments. They deserve to say how they feel!!

Can't wait to hear Cassandra speak!

God bless all of them!!!!

Jury convicts Drew Peterson of 3rd wife's death

Published On: Sep 06 2012 03:51:36 PM EDT

JOLIET, Ill. -
Jurors convicted Drew Peterson of murdering his third wife Thursday, capping a sensational, five-year legal saga that began after the swaggering former Illinois police officer's fourth wife vanished.

Peterson, 58, faces a maximum 60-year prison term when sentenced. Illinois has no death penalty.

The prosecution built its case almost exclusively on circumstantial and hearsay evidence, including testimony about what Peterson's wives had told friends and acquaintances before the one died and the other disappeared. The verdict was a vindication for Will County prosecutors, who gambled by putting on such a case and then committed numerous stumbles during testimony that drew angry scoldings from the judge.

Over the course of the investigation and prosecution, Peterson had seemingly taunted authorities, joking on talk shows and even suggesting a "Win a Date With Drew" contest. His notoriety even inspired a TV movie starring Rob Lowe.

A neighbor found Kathleen Savio's body on March 1, 2004, face down in a dry bathtub of her suburban home outside Chicago. Her thick black hair was blood-soaked and she had a 2-inch gash on the back of her head...
