Theories about Ron's breaks and werk schedule

I agree there is something hinky going on about his work hours and why nothing has been confirmed or denied. What I don't get, though, is since RC's stories regarding that night already don't make sense, if he said he was at work all night and they find he wasn't, wouldn't that right there be enough to arrest him on suspicion? At least for lying to LE?

ETA: I guess saying "arrest him" is silly since he's already in jail, but there must be something they could charge him with involving the disappearance if his alibi is bunk and his stories/actions don't make sense.

BBM: Yes, they could arrest him on suspicion... but without the proof to tie him to Haleigh's disappearance, they couldn't hold him for more than 24 hours, then they would have to let him go.

It might help to remember that it is not up to LE when to charge somebody, it's the prosecutors... the state attorney's office... who make that decision. At that point, they didn't know for certain what the crime was... kidnapping or murder. The SA's office is running this investigation... not just LE.

And... he's already been charged with something... enough to keep him in jail for awhile.

Being charged with something just doesn't get it with me and I feel no consolation knowing he will spend time in jail for awhile..if indeed that does happen..
I won't be satisfied until the TRUTH is revealed and those who have helped cover his rear and mislead this investigation are ALL exposed..
IMHO.. Crystal, Marie and those who have suffered even more pain than need be from not knowing deserve the TRUTH...JMO

O/T Also, a dispatcher in our surrounding area disappeared several years ago,, Her ex husband was a policeman.. They have never found her body and no one knows what happened to her..Her ex husband was tried in the courts in connection with her disappearance/murder, found gulity and is now serving time...JMO

Legally, I'm not even sure Ron was fired. If the official reason for him no longer working, was 'job abandonment', that might be considered quitting. So, maybe benefits would roll on in. This is just an idea, but I have a feeling that Ronald's lawyer may have worked out some kind of deal with PDM. The 'abandonment' status might have been a compromise, so Ronald could receive benefits, during a time of need. The company gets what they want-no Ronald, & no leaving a public, grieving, father destitute. Ronald gets what he wants-money & no public firing, to cast suspicion on him. I tend to believe some legal maneuverings went on, because Ronald didn't sue. & I think he would have, if he'd been wronged.

jumping off your post :) I encourage everyone to check out the pcso website a few months back and see what bail etc other greater and lesser offenders have received...it is NO accident the bonds are high for the drug charges and, personally, I don't think it is an accident that that the bonds are what they are. LE, plain and simple, IMO, are looking at Ron and Misty. Otherwise, Ron is playing martyr...a role, IMO., he excels at. JMO MOO etc

ITA, Ron is an expert at playing the martyr. He likes for everyone to think that he is sacrificing his life to find the guilty one who took Haleigh. yeah right.

I've heard lawyers on NG talking about the bonds, that it is unusual for drug charges to carry such high bonds. The judge is the one who imposes the bond amount, so I don't think LE has anything to do with that.... unless they talked to the judge beforehand.

The statement you bolded was in reply to the poster who asked why they couldn't charge him with something. They have, and the judge imposed a pretty high bond, so it looks like he will be there awhile.

As for your last paragraph... sure, it happens, but there needs to be some evidence that a murder was committed. Apparently in this case there is none, or not enough to bring charges. Seems to me they are still handling this case as a kidnapping... not a murder.

Wasn't sure if we had this information handy so i brought it to post. According to Zastro, also a night shift crane op...RC began working for PDM Bridge in October.

snip~Also a night shift crane operator, Zastrow told me he was working with Cummings “on the yard” from the time PDM hired Haleigh’s father in October last year until Ronald was fired in early April. The reason: failing to let the company know he was coming back, a spokesman tells me.~ end

Thanks elle!

So Ron was "on the yard", does anyone know what that means? sure is different than a crane operator, i think. so 3 1/2 - 4 months Ron was employed there prior to HaLeigh missing.

No idea. Basic stuff maybe? Also, I meant to post that even though he had been working for PDM Bridge since October, he had only been working that overnight shift for a few weeks. I knew this but re-thinking it now after knowing all we know about the babysitting stuff, gives it all more perspective.

ITA elle!

That popped into my head when i was reading the article. But again i have to wonder how true this guys is who is saying that he has worked with him "on the yard" since he was hired.

Unless they both worked the day time shift together, prior to his switching to night shift.....

Not sure how trustworthy the guy is or if he was telling the truth about anything, I am just trying to find tidbits of information about the few weeks before Haleigh went missing that come from anyone other than family. Art Harris sure interviewed a lot of peeps...

i do appreciate all your efforts elle!

i am stuck on that last question for the moment :)

I'm also curious as to how he could work with Ron from the time of hire to time of fire, when Ron did not work a lick from Feb 10th until he was fired in April. Perhaps it's just another colloquialism, but it demonstrates an exaggeration.

Sorry, Kimster. :innocent: Been reading lots of threads and confused myself...:blushing:

I wonder if the reporter threw in that Zastrow was a crane operator because he said he did the same job as rc. rc/tn told the media that he was a crane operator. I think he was clean up in the yard. People may have to start at the bottom there and work their way up. Crane Operators must be certified. Doubt rc was one going in and I doubt he wa certified whe he was fired.

Off track? I thought we were discussing rc and his job. Do we have to break down this too? There is an awful lot of piece mealing, imo. Hard to put anything together with all the different topics and threads. I miss the old days...lol. General threads and Rumor threads..*sigh*

OT:

Elle, if you start with the last two weeks before haleigh...we were all lied to...imo. No one was where they said they were.

Florida is a Right to Work (Right to Fire) state. They could have fired Ron because they didn't like the color of his hair, so I don't think a wrongful termination lawsuit would have held up (OMO).

As for job abandonment, PDM fired him, Ron filed for unemployment and PDM obviously didn't contest it, allowing Ron to receive benefits.

I find it incredulous that in over a year, not one reporter has pointedly asked Ron what time he went to work and what time he got off the night Haleigh disappeared. They seemingly accept the statement, "I was at werk."

Well, fine. :banghead:
