As I try to cope with this jury verdict, I am forced to try to understand this theory of accidental drowning so many have latched onto. Please be clear that in MY opinion only, Caylee DID NOT drown. She was murdered and dumped by FCA like a piece of trash without remorse. But just for arguments sake, I want to see if I understand this drowning theory. I submit to you the following LONG fairy tale for your analysis:
The morning of June 16, 2008, Caylee opened the sliding door, climbed the pool ladder, entered the pool and drowned while GA was watching TV and FCA was using the computer. CA had already left for work, as Monday was her busy day.
At some point, GA or FCA notice Caylee is missing. FCA scours the house while GA checks outside. GA finds Caylee in the pool. He lays her on the ground and tries CPR, but doesnt get a response. He thinks it is too late. He scoops her up in his arms. FCA finds GA with the baby in his arms. GA tells her to call 911, but FCA screams at him that CA will never forgive them. He screams back that it is all her fault, but finally agrees that it is too late and that they both might get blamed. GA tells her that she needs to move out ASAP and get out of their lives and threatens her that if she doesnt come up with a good lie and stick to it, he is going to throw her under the bus..hence the later statement by FCA, Dont worry, I havent said anything.
FCA and GA take off Caylees clothes, dry her off, They grab the clothes out of the backpack (clothes that CA wouldnt miss), but they cant bear to dress little Caylee, so they just set her little outfit with her, wrap her up in the Winnie the Pooh blanket and place her in a laundry bag and then a garbage bag. GA rips off several small pieces of duct tape and overlaps them around the top of the bag for closure, just like they had done so many times with pets.
At this point they are running out of time because GA has to get to work, so GA says they need to hide the remains temporarily and the trunk of the car is the only place they can come up with on short notice. FCA tells GA that she will take care of disposing of the remains; GA unwillingly agrees. GA goes to work and calls the house and FCAs cell phone because he wanted to verify that she had left with that car.
After JG and GA calls, she packs up some stuff and tries to think of a plan, even calling CA several times, just to make sure she isnt on her way home.
FCA goes into complete denial. FCA moves in with TL. She initially comes up with the lie that Caylee is staying with her parents. TL buys this and she is sitting pretty. The next day, she goes back to the Anthonys home to transfer files from the desktop to her (CAs) laptop because she knows she cant go back there anymore. She backs into the garage because she is paranoid.
She visits her parents house again and again backs into the garage, but this time she decides to check inside the trunk to see what kind of condition the package is in. OMG there are several holes in the bag and it has leaked! The package stinks and she freaks out. She doesnt want it in her car anymore, so she carries the body into the back yard. She cant get the shovel out of the shed because it is locked, so she borrows a shovel from neighbor. She thinks about burying Caylee in backyard, but the ground is too hard, so she nixes that idea, puts the body into another garbage bag and puts the package back into the trunk and returns the shovel, unused. Soon thereafter, she disposes of the remains in the wooded area. But the trunk stinks and stinking more every day. She needs to clean it up.
When GA and FCA have the gas can incident, he asks if she disposed of the body. She tells him she has and she tells him the location. He freaks out and says that is no good and that he will have to move the body. She says whatever and speeds off. Sidebar: This is why she says she doesnt know where the body is and why she has the panic attack when they eventually find the remains where she had originally put it! You see, GA just couldnt bring himself to move the body.
But, back to the story. The car trunk continues to smell worse every day now. She thinks if she abandons the car, someone will steal it and it can be out of her hands. When she notices the car is gone from the parking lot, she has a moment of relief and now allows herself to grieve for her baby. She even drives to the remains site and sits in her car for a while in the wee hours one morning and calls a friend for comfort. She even starts to walk into the muddy woods, but it is too messy and she falls a couple of times. She washes her clothes after she returns to Amy and Ricardos place where she has been sleeping.
But, alas, the car had been towed and CA/GA pick it up days later. GA smells the smell and freaks out because maybe FCA didnt get rid of the body and it is still in the trunk!!! (Remember, he said he was going to move it, but he couldnt bring himself to do it) Phew..the remains are not in there. GA and CA go back to work, but CA goes back home and vacuums and cleans the car, but cant get that damn stain or smell out the car.
Many months later they find Caylees remains. The duct tape that had been around the plastic bag at some point early..probably during the moving of the body by FCA, had come to rest on her mandible and scalp hairs.
Very unfortunate, but this is how the accident came to look like murder!!
