Here is a clip from News Nation with friend of Websleuths, Joseph Scott Morgan.
In this clip, they discuss possible elder abuse. Elder abuse doesn't just mean family. Please watch the clip.

The theory of Elder Abuse in this case, in my opinion, means Nancy could have been taken advantage of by a stranger or perhaps someone who knew of her. Doesn't have to mean it was someone who saw Nancy regularly. Just that Nancy was targeted because of her age. IMO.
I would be very interested in your thoughts on this theory.

Yes, I do think she was targeted because of her advanced age. Perp probably thought she would be easy to abduct.
Kids are often taken for same reason, not enough physical strength.

Good point. Do you think the perp had gerontophilia and wanted to take her somewhere private like child abductors tend to do?

Very interesting, I hadn't thought of that theory yet.

Brian Entin says in most recent video that the sheriffs office is sifting through thousands of vehicles at the moment. He also says that the FBI is going through thousands of hours of video footage which is, according to Brian Entin, most likely traffic camera footage.

He goes on to interview an FBI profiler.

Brian Entin quoted the sheriff as saying "hundreds of thousands" of vehicles. If this is true they are not very close to solving the case!

This theory doesn't surprise me. After reading about the Texas serial killer that specifically targeted elderly women, how he positioned himself to be in a place where these women lived and how he watched handicap parking spaces at stores for some of his victims and then followed them home. The only woman who survived his attack, gave a video deposition in which she told how he knocked on the door and when she opened it, he immediately pushed her back into the apartment, grabbed her pillow and began to smother her. She stated she did not have the strength to resist. These women were easy targets for him, he took their jewelry, sold it on offer up. These were active women who had friends and family and lived in what was supposed to be safe retirement places.

There are soulless individuals walking around in human form that see our elderly women as prey for whatever they have to have to complete their evil.

Good, I bet within a short time they will have the car, hopefully good view on a camera. Maybe even plate. 🤞 This sounds very promising!

Thank you for the video Tricia. Elder abuse, yes, very possible. The kidnapping angle is not only extremely rare, but I can hardly consolidate the possibility of a single kidnapper - if that was the case ? - with watching the intruder covering the Nest cam with plant material. Surreal. A kidnapping takes so much planning and time upfront, reconnaissance, taking care of the victim, the ransom demand etc.. it would not be a one person job IMO. Unless - the plan did include a team or did not include to keep the victim alive. I am still wondering, whether there will be more communication regarding the possible exchange of the body. Bless NG and her family.

Also, PCPD may have gotten a signal cell tower dump, meaning many cars with built-in LTE/5G infotainment systems, GPS, or telematics (like OnStar) constantly ping nearby cell towers to signal their presence. They may be looking out for those same pings they may have retrieved from the evening/night NG was taken. In that case they may have to go through many many car signals..just saying

ALL IMO

I think it's very plausible. LE has been so all over the place with their answers to questions that I've found it very difficult to rule out much of anything. I have especially struggled with why she would be targeted for any reason other than ransom. But there is one blend of those that just occurred to me, and it makes sense to me.

Some of us assumed NG is well off personally. We don't actually know that, but it's an easy assumption to make because the house is in a fantastic location. One option that I haven't seen discussed is that the perp/s might also have assumed she was worth quite a bit on her own and targeted her for that reason. Maybe they set up the bitcoin wallet to accept transfer of her funds, intending to empty it before anyone knew it existed.

Once they got in the house and found out she wasn't personally wealthy (also an assumption on my part), they might have pivoted to the ransom option. I think that could explain why it doesn't seem very well thought out. It was never the original plan. JMOooo
