This is the third largest fire in East Texas History.
Firefighters from at least nine different agencies are still trying to get control of the named Bearing Fire that has been burning in Trinity and Polk counties since Friday, prompting evacuations in several communities.
The flames have scorched at least 15,000 acres, destroying two unoccupied homes, and several outbuildings and trailers.
It's about 40% contained as of Monday morning.
