She would be able to learn to ride it later,in the spring maybe, I think they just wanted to give her a bike, john did say that was one thing he regreted was not taking her out on it that last day of her life, yes why buy a child something you know she can not play with right now, , alot of childern I am sure could not take their new bikes out side untill spring because of bad weather,I can remember trying to ride mine in the basement ,unknow to mom & dad!!

JonBenet is not about to let a bike sit there and not want to take it outside. She is too much of a personality and way too spoiled to let that pass. I cannot see John and Patsy buying her bike so that it can sit there for three or four months before she can ride it. Also, in the movie PM/PT, they have her riding the bike. But as I recall it, she rode it and wanted to ride it again. I don't have a link for that information.
