I thought we were dropping the sarcasm. Guess not.

Go back and read closely. Jason did know why Michelle was going. He does not know what she said to the therapist.

Jake - you can play this game all you like. No one is going to tell you or share with you the information you are seeking - that which you are lacking. You have a resource in your midst - ask him - but for once demand the truth.

It would be interesting to know how many meetings Michelle had with the therapist.

If only one meeting, what would have been discussed? I tried googling to get info about a first meeting between a therapist and a client. From what I gather, the first meeting is mostly background stuff, health records, family history, general stuff.

But something was said in that meeting, or subsequent meetings, to make the judge think the DA should know about it.

Wow, Spring, does she try to teach!

But she's not in the counseling business too much. But for those without family and friends and church, the counselor does provide a shoulder.

The counselor provides a sounding board. An OBJECTIVE (caps for emphasis) sounding board; one that is one degree removed from the problem, whatever it may be. One's family, one's friends, and even one's church can be a bit too close to the source, if you know what I mean.

Huh? Oh, hi, Raisincharlie. Things suddenly went downhill.

Are you implying you know what michelle told the therapist? Congratulations. I trust you will keep it confidential.

is that the info you are fishing for? i think jy might have lied to his mama about what she went to the therapist for. i do believe he knows, but i don't think it's what you have heard.

That makes sense, Jubal. There are things I talk to my medical doctor about that I wouldn't share with family or friends. Some things are just too personal for that.

But for support in a time of crisis, I would not rely on grief counselors and such. I'd turn to those close to me. That's what Jason did.

There was a rumor that Michelle went to the therapist to talk about marital problems. Supposedly someone who worked with her said that. I doubt that is true. No one would ever confirm it on the board.

I think Michelle would talk with friends and family about marital problems, not a stranger. Of course, I don't know either what she talked about. Like the cops, I'm in the dark.

you are in the dark. the investigators aren't.

It's okay to believe that, Spring. I haven't seen any evidence to support it.

So let me see if I understand you correctly.
Jason knew of the therapist. Check.
Jason "did know why Michelle was going."
Jason doesn't know what was being said?

Maybe it's me and my faulty inferential logic but, if I were seeing a therapist and my husband both knew I was seeing one and WHY, chances are he could guess at the dialogue.
So, Jason is not all that quick on the uptake or you're splitting hairs?

A counselor is a sort of emotional doctor...

Nope. I'm constrained from saying all I would like to. Once the door closed, no one else would know what Michelle said. Jason knew in general why Michelle was going. He didn't know specifics. And still doesn't.

Jake

You'll have to excuse spring on this one.
The individual both of you are talking has an inflated stature on the boards. Few people know what credentials--read curriculum vitae--are required to provide such a shoulder at the professional level.

All this constraint.
Does a regular diet help that?
Exercise?
What?

Something else about the therapist I'd like to know. Did Michelle purposely choose that particular therapist? Or was that therapist simply on the list provided by Progress Energy?

I tend to believe she chose that particular therapist for a reason.
