You are so correct. His circle of support can verbally deny it all they want, but at the end of the day, they must realize this was not a good sign at all. Look at how they're having to live - sister having to handle these phone calls, the mother avoiding phone calls, search warrants...life is not routine thanks to the actions/inactions of Jason Lynn Young.

Just my opinion, of course.

Hi Dep!:blowkiss:

I agree with you and Concerned. I wonder too how it's affected the younger sister who is now with child. Surely she must have been thinking about Michelle at the 4 month mark when she and her Rylan lost their lives.

This would have a HUGE affect on them all. They were pretty 'safe' before this appeared on Asheville TV and now the Transylvania Times. People will no doubt be talking behind their backs and giving them strange looks which must be very unsettling for people who thrive on their upstanding reputations. Say what they want, but they are human beings.

How they're dealing with this is mind-blowing! Someone made an excellent statement on another site. Something to the effect - their reputation is more important than the crime itself.

I didn't stop to think about it, but wouldn't you think that his hands would be swelled and bruised? She had to be struck with a massive amount of force to cause her teeth to come out of her head and some to shatter? I would think that his dominate hand would have cuts and bruises unless he used a weapon. IMO, he did use a weapon. He is a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 coward.

Hi Nana and KRAMS to all you dear friends who have kept Michelle's discussion ongoing.

I'm wondering if one of the blows that struck Michelle's head wouldn't have had to be a blow of massive force but rather one struck in the perfect place on her head that made her teeth come out.

I remember something about this on the site Samiya had dealing with forensics. Maybe it was a spot down below the ear towards the back of the head.

Anyone in the killer's position who had already tried to strangle her and been outdone by Michelle in that attempt would be somewhat tired himself I would think. He would have grabbed something close by as we all reasoned before, and if it was a Maglite, even a hard blow in the correct spot could have done this irrepuable damage to her.

Even a wimp like Jason could have done this IMO.

How exciting for the case still to be on track. The article implies it is not a new lead that prompted the searches, but that's OK. There was something they were looking for to get the warrant. The judge doesn't just hand them out to keep the suspect on edge!

Hi Everyone!

It's good knowing that WCSO and the SBI are working so hard on this case, they're just like us, they are wanting justice for Michelle and Baby Rylan!
These latest searches and now the publicity in the local media has to be driving the clan nuts right now! And there's no denying now that the person they are looking at is Jason Young!
To obtain these latest search warrants, they must have found something to further, closer look at, and it had to be something of pretty great value to have a judge sign orders for search warrants, plus they need probable cause to obtain them too!
I would really love to see the probable cause listed!
Bet Jason's looking over his shoulder alot lately!

According to an inside source, the DA is wanting absolute ironclad evidence on this case before they grab Jason for fear of being sued, should he be found innocent. The Duke Lacrosse case has really put the fear into DA's across the country. They're thinking twice before rushing to judgement. Obviously they have more to go on than just speculation in this particular case!

Thanks for the information. I definitely don't think anyone can say there has been a rush to judgement in this case. Of course a lawyer will try it I suppose but after 1.5 years I doubt many would buy it. I think it is a good idea for the DA to have an iron clad case, heps to insure justice is properly applied in all cases. Here's hoping they find those few pieces of iron that may yet be missing.

It seems that the comparison to the Duke Lacrosse case is a stretch! But I do understand the DA's concerns here!

Is there not enough circumstancial evidence right now for iron clad staus?
It seems there's more with this case than the Laci Peterson case had!

I hope those pieces arent rusty by the time they do-
and I agree- there was no rush to judgement in this case-

Well, you can't compare a case where a crooked DA fabricates evidence and totally railroads 3 innocent men. Rest assured , Colin Willoughby is not worried about being sued. However, he apparently is worried about being able to get a conviction at this point.

Actually, I think Becky Holt is more concerned than Willoughby - she has one shot to bring the murderer to justice. I think she will do just fine at it in due time.

New update at NC Wanted site regarding Jason's silence.

Thanks for the update Sweetmop !

I find the following section of this update most intriguing - I bellieve it says quite a bit without saying a lot:

"Sheriff Donnie Harrison told NC WANTED his detectives need Jason Young to help them fill in basic details about Michelle’s activities leading up to her murder, her daily habits, anyone she was associating with, etc.
They also want him to explain his activities around the time his wife was killed. "

Hmmmm - obviously there has been no firm alibi offered, proven or even mentioned probably. Must be LE believes from the evidence they have obtained, there seems to be a distinct possibility that jy had the opportunity to commit this murder.

Hi RC!
I agree with your summation. No iron clad alibi, huh?

I know we've all been waiting this out and praying for justice for Michelle, but I just wonder how much longer?

I get the feeling that those over in Brevard may be getting a feeling of them closing in on ' their Jason'!

At least with these last couple of updates, the idea of other suspects has pretty much been squashed so they can't spread horrible lies about Michelle's sister and mother any longer!

On one of the shows they were talking about Jason saying that he stayed in a motel/hotel two hours away from home the night that Michelle was murdered. Another piped up and said "my boss would kill me if I rented a motel room two hours away from home while on company business. My boss would tell me to drive the two hours there and two hours back...no motel!" I think most businesses would expect a person to make the drive there and back instead of spending company money on a motel for such a short drive. Was the motel part of his allibi and was it that close to his home?

I wonder if LE found anything in the home of his mother and sister. I think that they would cover for him if I remember right. He probably moved close to them so they could help him raise his little girl! I wonder what LE was looking for at their places? Anyone have any ideas? I hope he doesn't get away with this murder. Do LE have any evidence at all? Maybe it is hard to collect evidence when the person actually lived in the home too. No bloody hand/finger prints or anything?

Well, they finally got Mark Jensen after 10 years, Cutts is gone for 58 yrs, Sam Parker (Theresa Parker) was finally arrested so there is hope yet. So many women still missing while their husbands walk around thinking they will never get caught.

Bobbisangel,

Jason drove from Raleigh to a hotel in Hillsville Va - approximately 2.5 hours from his home the night of Michelle's murder. He "supposedly" stayed there and left in the morning to drive to Clintwood Va - another approximate 2.5 hours on to the west northwest of where he stayed. Unconfirmed is that he was supposedly late for his meeting, which the meeting was very short, at a branch type hospital which would have no ability to approve a purchase of the software he was trying to sell - if it had been a serious sales call he should have met with the parent company representatives I should think.

From this meeting he drove approximately another 5 hours to visit with his parents because he was "in the area" so to speak. An odd choice of timing since a couple from Charlotte were to arrive at his home the day Michelle was found to spend part of the weekend with him and Michelle - it was Home Coming weekend at NC State - big football game - one that both Jy and Michelle and friends usually attended.

Not sure what LE was looking for at his sister's and mother's houses. The warrants are supposedly sealed, so far we know nothing else about them. However I would venture to say that the probable cause section had to be pretty intense to get a judge to sign off to search two homes and a company vehicle, none of which belong to jy.

Yes, after 16 months LE is still investigating jy - seems to me it os obvious they believe he had the opportunity and previous warrants seem to indicate motive as well. Eventually they will get him - just a matter of time. After all this time it is also reasonable to think that the last person to see Michelle alive and the person who found her murdered have both been cleared - otherwise no need for these recent warrants dealing with jy. His days are numbered IMO.
