Tim Miller: Possible Lawsuit against Casey

If he needs to sue someone, he might want to go after CA, after all she is the one who called him, not KC. The way this is coming down leaves a bad taste in my mouth, especially since he pulled out of the search early after I had donated a reasonable amout.

I don't know if you remember, but several people asked for their money back - not sure if they got it or not. I didn't, I wanted it to be used for finding lost children, BUT, to me this law suit diminishes TM, at least in my eyes.

But he explained why he left, because of the water and he did not want someone tramping on her skull. He did return in November and asked CA for a piece of Caylee's clothing to give to the dogs and CA refused. CA got nasty and he left. Can't blame him. Why waste more money when you can't get the family to cooperate? Any money donated during the searches I'm sure was used up because Tim said when he left in November TES was practically broke. CA claims not to have known Caylee was dead and certainly did not know where the body was located. KC did. So KC is the one he wants. jmo

Interrogatories IMO tend to be inflammatory...it's like the gloves come off...not the law's finest moment, IMHO.

Probably nobody's finest moment, but I thought we had found a white knight in TM, someone who cared more about lost children than money. This law suit tarnishes the image I had of him and when the TMs of this world become tarnished, what's left for me to believe in?

I'm going to send a donation to TM. They do amazing work. It's a shame their time and resources were wasted here with so many children who really are missing and so many families that really need the help.

But Tim does care more about lost children and that is why TES is suing. TES has a right to sue.

BBM CA called him; CA refused to give the clothing; CA got nasty, left a nasty email; CA claims to not have known Caylee was dead - then why NOT go after CA? I'd feel a lot more kindly if he got to the root of the problem.

My opinion only

Then let him sue, he will anyway, but right now "I" see him chasing ambulances. May heaven give him merit for what he has done in the past.

TM had other people waiting for his services while the A's sent him on that wild goose chase to look for Caylee. He wasted a lot of time and money that could of went to another family that had a missing child. Maybe, just maybe if CA did not stop KC, KC might of put the X on the map when they were trying to pin point Caylees location.

I lost a lot of respect for TM when he started this law suit.

Why Trident? I think he's just trying to recoup money lost from his 501(c)(3) so that he can search for other children. He had to stand down from other legitimate searches because he was here doing this one and until he recoups some money, he won't be able to ever make that up. He isn't doing it for any personal gain at all. IMO he deserves even more respect for filing this suit. Unlike the A's none of the money he wins back for his foundation will go into his own pocket and he's putting himself through a lot just to try and make things right for other children.

I think donors have alot to do with TMs lawsuit. As a donor myself, I can tell you that there were plenty of outraged supporters / donors voicing concern, frustration and anger when JB performed his opening act. I imagine those complaints to TM grew in numbers after the verdict. I don't see this as "ambulance chasing" at all; rather an effort to assure his donors, with or without complaints, that he will do everything possible to recoup some of those funds; as well as informing them (donors) that he would not have "wasted" generous donations for a costly search, if he knew at the time that it was indeed a waste.

All MO...I support it 100%...Afterall I, along with many others, were "duped" into sending extra donations specifically for this search out of genuine compassion to help.

I have to question why Tim put so much time and money into this one particular high profile case when he could have been doing searches for other children. No one forced him to do that. It was his choice and now it looks to me like he wants to sue for his own bad decisions.

I don't believe there is one person who donated to the TES search for Caylee that didn't believe Caylee was dead and that Casey knew where the body was. Tim is a smart man, he knew Casey was responsible for whatever happened to Caylee. Why is he playing dumb after the fact? Everyone knew he was searching for a dead child, you don't look in fields for a living child.

I never understood why he needed a piece of Caylee's clothing to find a dead body - were they finding so many bodies of dead children that they didn't know which one was Caylee? Weren't the dogs trained to hit on the smell of decomp?

Are you saying that when you sent your donation you had absolutely no idea that Casey had harmed Caylee and knew where Caylee's body was? Did you think Caylee was alive, and if so, didn't you wonder why TES was searching through fields and woods?

All of you have good points, but what really bothers me is this - now, in this instance, TM is choosing to sue someone for an unfruitful search. Well, I don't believe this is the first time he's been in this situation, whether he knew it or not. Once you cross the line from being a saviour, the last hope for many, and get into suing someone you dislike, disagree with, or feel duped by, in my opinion, you have taken yourself out of the saviour field and in the spot of money changers. But, this is only my opinion. I think he needs to let it go, I see no good coming out of it.

How was it a wild goose chase? Didn't Caylee need to be found, the same as any other murdered child, regardless of who murdered her. The murderer ALWAYS knows where the body is hidden, the only thing different about this case is that the murderer was the mother.

Because CA's attorney did not tell the world that Caylee drowned, KC's attorney did and that she covered it up to look like a murder. CA was not lying, KC was. Then KC stood face-to-face with Tim and never told him it was a waste of TES's time to search because she knew exactly where the baby was. jmo

Has Tim sued in any other case where he searched for a murdered child and the murderer didn't disclose the location of the body? Why is he in this particular high profile case, and what does the identity of Caylee's father have to do with anything related to the suit?

TM is a very compassionate man, dedicated to finding people dead or alive. I would say sadly most of them are deceased. I believe that he believed that FCA's Mom and Pop did not know Caylee was deceased at the time and wanted to bring them closure. CA did not want him looking for a deceased Caylee. Whether it was denial or not I am not sure. At the time the case was bringing increased interest to citizens all around the country. If I call correctly it was the biggest search he had ever done with thousands of volunteers. He gave his all and so did his searchers. TM is mad(and I don"t blame him) If the DF allegations of Caylee demise on June 16th 2008 are true(and I don not believe they are. All the A's wasted TM's time.
These are my feelings.

Obviously I agree with you on this, Trident. I have always held the utmost respect for Tim and I believe he's a totally honest and caring man who does his best to find each and every child he searches for, regardless of the circumstances that led to the child's death. This lawsuit taints my image of him, it smells of revenge or, I hate to say, a desire to keep himself involved in the media frenzy that is all things Casey Anthony. I'd much rather see him move on and do what he does best without drawing more attention to himself. I'd hate for someone to be afraid to call Tim for help because they're afraid he might turn around and sue them when all is said and done.

What do you think his reasons were for asking for a piece of Caylee's clothing?

I can't begin to guess. I know that when dogs are searching for a decomposed body they don't need to have that particular person's scent to find it.

I don't know if those were the right words (wild goose chase). He was trying to help bring closure to a family. I guess those words could be used after the fact, when the DF team said in their OS that Caylee had died on June 16th.
Sorry for the confusion.
