Tim Miller: Possible Lawsuit against Casey

This is a bad example:

You tell your friend that you are getting married. Your friend (friend A) asks one of their friends (friend B) if they can DJ the reception. Friend B agrees and sets up a date and time. On said date and time, Friend B travels (because it was far from their location) to the proposed reception location, brings all their equipment and sets up. Then it turns out there was never going to be a wedding (lied about getting married) and so no reception. Friend B is out travel expenses and time. Who do you think is more liable, the friend who actually asked him/her to come out for the reception, or you for lying to Friend A about the wedding in the first place?

that's a pretty good example actually.

It baffles me that we have a mother who didn't ask or want any help finding her missing child, so she is protected & rewarded by law for not giving a darn about her baby.
It's unbelievable how she can twist the law in her favour at every turn.
She truly is a child of the devils.....

FCA talked to the 911 dispatcher and reported a kidnapping. She also gave a written statement saying the same. There is also the tape from Universal where she claimed Caylee was kidnapped and she wanted their help finding her.

It's a long shot but government agencies hire contractors all the time to do work for them. Kidnapped children are rarely found alive. Common sense dictates searchers would be sent to look for an alive and deceased child.

I wonder if TES can uses FCA's words. She may not have asked TES directly for help but she told detectives during the Universal questioning that she wanted help finding Caylee. I think LE paid TES about $5000.00 to keep the search going.

CA told FCA about the reward money raised to find Caylee...another chance for FCA to end the lie. FCA's response was 'that's half my bond'...a not so subtle hint to CA to use that money to get her out of jail.

IMO

I think friend A is liable (because they made the agreement) unless or until I am involved in any communication where the plans are discussed and I don't clarify the situation. At that point, I think I would be liable.

What KC did was trick her mother into asking for help. Or KC and CA both came up with the idea same as the sudden story change of JBPark. I think TM was tricked into searching on KC/CA terms because they wanted it to appear Caylee was still alive and TM would fill the bill. jmo
Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but when was it that Baez stated that he wanted Casey released to help search?

Excellent post, especially the BBM which has been soooooo lacking.

No, he just has common sense and didn't think a family would turn on him after asking for help. He talks at length in his interview about how the Anthonys were different than any other family he had ever encountered. Never were they on the search site for support, helping out (families can't search per se but they can be support on the site), nothing whatsoever. I think he was blindsided and now he is being punished for it. Sounds like the court will deconstruct everything to the point of absurdity because FCA didn't call herself.
Will the Anthonys be deposed? It will be interesting to read how the events unfolded (if they were to finally tell the truth). For all we know, this was a defense strategy to perpetuate the myth that Caylee was alive. I find it difficult to believe that the family didn't consult with Baez on this. Plus, the whole LP thing. I don't think we know the whole story there either. Questions never answered: who posted bond after LP pulled out...and why was LP talking to Baez frequently afterwards?

The $5,000 was a donation from drug forfeiture money that was given to keep the search efforts going. Beary also appealed for more volunteers to join the search for Caylee.

I certainly hope so...but I doubt the full truth will escape their lips...mis-truths and half-truths only...

IMO a PUBLIC verbal apology is in order from Cindy to Tim because of that tirade she unleashed on his voicemail...

Exactly. Now, lets transfer the scenario to this case. What I bolded, and what will determine if TES wins or loses this case, is if Casey was involved in any communication with TES that can be proven as it involved searching for Caylee. IMO (i understand most probably don't feel this way), is that it will not be proven, because I don't think you are going to get someone other than an Anthony to say that Casey was in fact, involved with TES searching for Caylee.

Are you telling me seriously we can look forward to CA being deposed again? :thud:

I have no idea how the law works in this type of situation but I think TES would be considered a contractor hired by LE since money exchanged hands. FCA reported Caylee as kidnapped and she requested LE's help in finding her. TES was part of LE in a contractor capacity.

Perhaps wishful thinking on my part.

Still to this day, I have never heard them thank LE for anything. They put poor Caylee back together (as best they could)...and I don't remember any public acknowledgement of LE's efforts. So an apology to TM? Nah...not likely. Wonder how their behavior would sit with others who actually need help finding missing loved ones? Advocates, my *$$.

Did Casey show up to a hearing to answer the 2 questions (last Friday??)? I read somewhere online that she did...but find that hard to believe.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but when was it that Baez stated that he wanted Casey released to help search?

--it was while she home on bond, he wanted her 'released from house arrest'.

Judge to Decide Whether Casey Anthony Can Help Search for Missing Daughter

--Oct.06/2008.

The woman who is a suspect in her toddler daughter's disappearance wants permission to leave house arrest to help search for the little girl, Caylee Anthony.

The lawyer for Casey Anthony, 22, plans to ask a judge Friday that his client be allowed out of her parents' Orlando house, where she is confined with an ankle monitor, saying she wants to help find the missing child, MyFOXOrlando.com reports.

She answered them in writing. You can see a good discussion on the Legal Thread...

I think she just submitted her answers to the court. That is what an article said upstream in this thread somewhere. IIRC

No, these were written questions. IMO generally a big waste of time.

Thanks! And didn't Baez promise to go with her? (lol) So this came after the first search and before the 2nd (or was November the third ???)
There has to be a motion for this, right? Video of the hearing would be great to watch again.
