She just happens to drive back roads same day step son goes missing. Yeah right!

Yeah, am I missing something? Does driving around soothe an earache? If it does none of the peds I took my son to told me about that, would have been nice to know. I know it soothes baby to sleep. That is an hour and a half of just driving around on rural roads, pretty big time span IMO.

I'm gonna guess that this span of time is when TH couldn't prove where she was at all and that LE had requested the surveillance videos from all of those roads near the school and home.

good grief, i have given her the benefit of the doubt, but now if the gf is more than that, and our little boy knew it, i can finally see a motive.

Sources detail Terri’s timeline day Kyron disappeared
Between 10:10 in the morning and 11:39, Terri said she drove her daughter Kiara around on rural roads in the family’s white truck because K had an earache. She said she was trying to soothe the toddler with the motion of the vehicle.http://www.katu.com/news/local/99151549.html

This should be, in a way, something that can be verified. Had baby K been to the dr for an ear infection before or after? If not, one would reason that baby K never had an earache.

ETA: Everyone beat me to it! I should learn to read everything before posting!

So hopefully Kaine will address whether or not baby K had an earache that day and if so was it standard practice for them to drive her around for nearly 90 minutes to soothe her. Truthfully, I've never heard of that practice used before for an earache, maybe if a baby won't go to sleep but definitely not an earache. A dose of Children's Tylenol would have soothed the earache far better than being in a car seat for 90 minutes but whatever works for her I suppose.

I guess riding around for an hour and a half would make a child go to sleep. Probably better and more convenient ways to do it, though.

I don't know if others do this, but for earaches, I found that a dose of tylenol, a warm bath, then some comfy swing time while I ran the vacuum cleaner always worked.

But then again, I'm too cheap to drive full sized V8 truck around aimlessly for hours when gasoline hovers around $3.00 a gallon.

If anyone can refresh my memory--how does this timeline square with the gentleman who complained he called in a tip to LE about a red-haired woman in a white truck that LE never followed up on? "If the timeline fits, you must acquit?":innocent:

I've stayed on the fence regarding TH since the beginning. I am well aware of the benefits of driving a child around to get them to sleep, but I will admit, the amount if time driven by TH was a little excessive.

Me too, cj. When my girls were little, I sometimes drove around if they were cranky & couldn't sleep. Worked like a charm every time.

But the 1 1/2 hours seems like a LOT of driving since she was also supposed to drive Kyron down to Eugene later that day (another 4 hours round trip) for his weekend visit with DY.

She probably did give Baby K Tylenol. (Always a little truth in their tales.) But not for an earache. Probably just wanted her to sleep through whatever she did to Kyron.

It will be interesting to see if the store surveillance tapes shows the baby fussing. It's possible Kyron was in the car while she did her errands--not sure in that kind of a truck if his head would show through the window. An hour and a half to soothe a baby with an earache? Possible. The day your step-son goes missing? Improbable.

The motion of riding in a car always made my son fussier ... like he was in pain ... when he had ear infections (and he had a lot of them).

I'm not buying this bull for one second.....none of it....I bet there is no evidence of her being at any grocery store, either.

could she have gone back to school to meet him outside before formal class began that day? for the "doctor appt"?

just noodling...

The grocery store videos would have shown her in the store. Plus she may have had debit or credit card transactions there.

So if she went back to pick him up around 10:10, then where was he from 8:45 to 10:10? Do you mean he went around with the other kids on the tour of the science fair projects?

About driving around waiting for tylenol to work ... truly (the distraction of driving) makes sense to me. I've been there, done that.

20-30 minutes ...maybe more if she finally falls asleep from the screaming and you want her to have a little rest... keep driving. I'd probably not drive that much myself, I'd pull over and maybe get some sun or read while baby napped. Terri might drive and call all her friends while the baby slept - make plans... If baby napped she might be able to enjoy day care during the work out ...

I don't really love it for a story - but a mother's unstructured day would permit it. I was there once. Both my girls had ear infections oh sooooo often...to this day I know it takes 24 minutes for the tylenol to work while they cry... and then, they are all worn out poor things...

This is the anti post to my above post. And where I get on the timeline fence, I suppose...

Kaine should know if the baby was sick that day. LE should know if the baby was on meds and saw the doctor for her ears...

:)

Yes - the formal class time beginnig that day was at 10:15? Or am I misremembering?

Don't we? Well, I mean it's been said now for a few weeks that LE said her cell phone pinged out there. So, it's unknown if there is any video (not knowing the Island I do not know whether cams would be located in certain places) of her being out there but the discrepancy in her story has been that she never said she was there to LE, when telling of her movements that day. I guess I assumed that she had her own cell phone that day?

I'll see how close I can get to any kind of a confirming link.

I've never seen LE say that her cell pinged on Sauvie Island.
