Call me crazy but I think the first time that Casey even thought about calling the timer55 password a "clue" was when LA asked her if it was one. It's been a while and I can't remember if I read a transcript of the conversation or saw a video or heard a recording or what but I do recall thinking at the time that it seemed she was just answering yes to his question in a lightbulb moment kind of thing - "sure, why not - I'll just tell him, yes it was a clue and see where he takes it and maybe he'll come up with something that makes it look like someone else was involved."
I am one of those people that think many give too much credit to Casey for putting this all together. I really think that she just made up lies as the need for them came up as opposed to thinking this out ahead of time and leaving clues. I think she's pretty quick to jump on things that others come up with and finds ways to tie things together but isn't quite smart enough to know they don't add up. For example, I have yet to figure out how June 16th to July 15th adds up to 31 days - I would count it as 29 but can see how others would count it as 30 but can't see how anyone (except Casey) gets 31 days.
I could be wrong but it also seems that I recall that the A's concluded the timer55 clue was from the day Caylee disappeared (June 16th) to her birthday (Aug 9th) and that Casey seemed to confirm this in one of the taped jail visits but again, I would count June 16th - Aug 9th as 54 days but can see how others would count it as 55 days but I don't think Casey came up with that as what timer55 meant - I think the A's (probably LA) came up with it and she just decided to agree and my guess is that someone asked her if the nanny was the one that gave her the password and she came up with "the nanny changed the password" as one of her not so well thought out lies to cover up.
As for what timer55 did mean to Casey when she changed that password, I don't know but I doubt that it is as complicated as many of the theories are.
