Timer55 and Cays234

I thought when this was discussed earlier in the case, that this password was changed to timer55 as a countdown to her costa rica trip with Amy, i'm probably wrong but for some reason i remember that

Yes, IIRC the computer records showed the password was changed 5/14/08 to TIMER55. Based on texts between KC and Amy, 5/14/08 is the day that the Puerto Rico trip was planned, and the day they planned to leave was 7/8/08, exactly 55 days later. I think this is the most obvious explanation for the password change.

Bumping AZ's post.

Bumping AZ's post.

This whole case is just CRAZY!! I never knew that about the Timer55 password. Thanks for bumping AZlawyer's post! The funny thing is, that from June 16th (the day Caylee was murdered) and August 9th (Caylee's birthday) it is exactly 55 days! I always thought that was a timer that Casey set up to when she knew she would have to be out of dodge because certainly she would have to account for Caylee by her birthday!

Too many coincidences in this case! Way too many!

Have you (or anyone) found a computer forensic document that supposedly says a password was changed to timer55 on 15 May? That post you copied from topix a while back seemed to make sense to me at first glance.

I think you were the one to bring this quote here from a post at Topix.

Here is when the password was changed...
From the computer forensic report
May 14- 8:49 am Password for DESKTOP computer changed for user casey.
55 days from May 14th is approximately when they all left for Puerto Rico (july 8)so I think it was related to that.

Intermezzo, Are you certain that you saw this in an official document?
Because I am now wondering if it was totally a hoax.

1. It is surprising to me that if this exists in the documents someone here has not found it. As I'm sure you know, it is not in that OCSO computer forensic report that has the "Diary of Days" etc.

2. This topix post quote purportedly from a computer forensic report, is about the computer logon password. But "timer55" was supposed to be her facebook password; . She said there was not meaning behind the computer PW. And if the computer and facebook pws were both "timer55", why would she say only one was significant? http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3057681&postcount=227

Does anyone know if Margaret In Houston still posts on topix ? One could ask for a link to where she got the info.

How are facebook passwords stored? Would that be in a cookie?

Ariane, I think you may have nailed it. :thumb: Consider the following texts between KC and Amy:
OUTGOING TEXT Casey Anthony Amy Huzienga It’s official. As long s we take our trip within the first 2 weeks of July I'm set. I just got my vacation cleared.

INCOMING TEXT Amy Huzienga Casey Anthony So the earliest JP can leave is the 8th. Can you do the 8th through the 15th?

OUTGOING TEXT Casey Anthony Amy Huzienga I can.

INCOMING TEXT Amy Huzienga Casey Anthony Awesome.
Consider the time stamp on that very first text was 08:49:23AM.

The official act was not getting imaginary vacation from her imaginary boss at her imaginary place of employment. The official act was changing her real password 4 seconds prior!

bumpity bump
Great work and great posts.

Whoa! How long ago does the Timer55 seem? Ages, and ages and ages - at least to me!!!

Actually, that's 54 days, but it would be 55 days if you counted from the 15th, the last day anyone outside the family allegedly saw Caylee.

On the 24th of June, Casey sent a message to a friend that she'd been out of the A house for "9 days," which also seems to indicate that she left on the 15th.

On the 15th of July, she said she hadn't seen Caylee in "31 days." She should have said 30 days if it had been since June 15, and 29 days if it had been since June 16. But maybe it was June 15 and Casey just forgot "30 days hath September, April, June and November" lol and counted 31 days for June.

Isn't it amazing how organized this forum is and that by simply searching, you can find exactly what you are looking for!

I think for the next two months, I am just going to go over everything that happened early on in this case (not all the media circus stuff from the Anthonys) and just concentrate on the facts. I just learned something completely different, from what I actually thought, and I am amazed!

Love this forum!!

Hi JWG
Let's explore the use of the "timer55" password further.

The home desktop computer password is changed May 14th from rico234 to timer55. This can easily refer to a count down to the PR trip, since she is also texting Amy during the same time interval, speaking of the upcoming PR trip, As you have wonderfully posted. Great Work!

Okay, but now we have this:

The Facebook, Myspace and Yahoo email passwords also change to timer55? Casey tells Cindy in the July 25 jail video that the password to myspace is timer55. Can Myspace etc....provide forensics on passwords and dates passwords were changed?

There are differing (ahem) "stories" as to who changes these passwords... Casey? Zanny? in Lee's depo (page 128) he says JG knew of the timer55 password which seems to try and implicate JG IMO as someone who could have changed the passwords..

Was it by chance that June 16 to August 9 (Caylee's bday) is also 55 days?

I may be confusing myself here, info overload LOL

I thought when this was discussed earlier in the case, that this password was changed to timer55 as a countdown to her costa rica trip with Amy, i'm probably wrong but for some reason i remember that

Yes, IIRC the computer records showed the password was changed 5/14/08 to TIMER55. Based on texts between KC and Amy, 5/14/08 is the day that the Puerto Rico trip was planned, and the day they planned to leave was 7/8/08, exactly 55 days later. I think this is the most obvious explanation for the password change.

RespectfullyQuoted :websleuther:

This is the theory that makes the most sense to me. It also makes sense Casey would change all her passwords. If she (at that point)was planning to go to Puerto Rico, she had a lot of lying to do-and would not want any chance of her family being able to get into her computer. It does not happen til later but Cindy confronts Casey with pictures of the "no clothes party" and says, "you were at work, huh?"(per AH statements to LE) IMO, the timing of the password change, coupled with the text to Amy being the subject of confirming her participation in the trip-makes this the likely meaning of the password change, and name.

In the name of the old password and the new I see: Rico Time(r). As in "it's Puerto Rico time." I have heard some people refer to Puerto Rico as a nick name being: "rico". :twocents:

Thank you for your posts. :thumb:

I agree timer55 related to the Puerto "Rico" trip... wonder now if KC planned to dispatch Caylee prior to this trip, and then CA somehow messed up her plans?

IOW: KC plans escape to PR. She plans to say nanny has Caylee and when she returns, voila! No Caylee. But CA thwarts her getaway to "Rico" and thus the tension between them builds until June 15/16.... when it all erupts. And KC, given to partial truths, weaves some of this in to the lies she tells from then on?

Casey did tell Lee, in one of the jail visits, that Timer55 was Caylee related, if I am not mistaken? Hmmmmm....

Maybe "timer 55" is in relation to one of those timer things one can set.... maybe
ICA set a timer for Caylee to be in "time out" for "misbehaving". In some of the evidence pics, I saw a book that was taken from the Anthony home. It was a book on child-rearing, I think, and it was bookmarked to the subject of tantrums. Someone had placed marks by the paragraphs specifically about how to deal with tantrums. The book said nothing about "time outs" to my knowledge, but maybe that's what ICA would employ if Caylee had a tantrum. In fact, sometimes I wonder if ICA went overboard with that method one day, and employed duct tape as well, and the rest is history.

One more thing: The computer forensic lady stated on the stand yesterday that the PW the owner account had, at the time she received the desktop, was "rico23".

Do you think maybe the "Timer 55" had something to do with setting an alarm for when she should get Caylee out of the trunk? Just my thought. She put her in there and set a timer on her phone to let her know how long she had before she had to go and get her.

Does Casey know anyone named Tim? Maybe, like Rico it's another of her bedmates?
