Kenosha County
KN Cold Case: Timothy Spreckels, killed in March 1982
''On March 13, 1982, the body of 18-year-old Timothy Spreckels was found by his parents at the home they shared in the town of Wheatland.

According to a March 17, 1982, report by the Kenosha News, Spreckels had been shot three times with a rifle — in the arm, chest and, lastly, in the head. His body was found in a hallway in the residence. Officials put his time of death as being on Thursday, March 11 or March 12 — meaning he had been dead a full 24 hours before being discovered by his parents on March 13.

Though the family offered as much as a $3,000 reward for information leading to a break in the case, no information came, and the case went cold.''

Seems suspicious to me that he was killed within months of testifying against these two and it happened when his parents were going to be gone for an extended period of time. I wonder who knew that he would be home alone for a week? This really seems like it should be solvable if LE could just talk to the right people everything would fall into place.

It could be one or both of them. Perhaps interviewing ex-wives of the two potential suspects would produce some tips.
