Found Deceased TN- 3 fishermen, (43 yr old & two 15 yr olds), Savannah, 22 Feb 2020

I'm not a boat person. The news article says the "main boat motor was broken" but they launched with the "trailer motor" What is that? I can't imagine launching in high water near a dam without the main motor working but maybe a "trailer motor" is sufficient. Is that just bad reporting or is there such a thing?

I think it should say trolling motor:

Updates expected on 3 missing Heartland boaters as day 4 of recovery efforts wraps up

Two teens and one adult have been missing since a weekend fishing tournament in Hardin County, Tennessee.

Efforts to find the two 15-year-old boys and 43-year-old Kenneth Driver have transitioned from a search to a recovery operation, according to Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officials.

Just after 5:20 p.m. the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency suspended the search and recovery operations for Thursday.

The search will resume Friday morning.

Agency officials said recovery operations began at 8 a.m. with twenty boats and 50 volunteers, who searched 50 miles of the Tennessee River on Thursday.

Two helicopters and one airplane also assisted with aerial scans.

I am heartened to see the comments on social media have all been loving and supportive and not critical of any decisions made that day. Their church family has been upholding the family in prayer as well on FB. I know the outcome isn't as hoped but I hope they recover them for closure.

Community gathers to pray for missing fishermen in Hardin County

It’s been more than one week since three boaters went missing after a high school fishing tournament.

They left from Obion County and traveled to Pickwick Lake in Hardin county.

More than one hundred members from both counties gathered near the Savannah river Sunday to light a candle and lift up prayers.

This prayer vigil was organized by Savannah High School fishing coach Dana Stricklin and community member Ricky Alexander.

“We’re praying to find these men, we’re praying for the family, we know this is a time of tremendous grief and sorrow for them and we just want to uphold them in prayer and let them know of the kind of support that they have from all of us,” Minister David Baker with Grace Point Church told News 2.

TWRA reducing workforce in search for three missing boaters in Hardin County

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, TEMA, and Hardin County Fire Department will be reducing the workforce in search and recovery operations for the three missing boaters near Pickwick Dam.

The reduction will begin Monday morning with the anticipation of heavy rain and rising waters, according to a TWRA Facebook post.

Local resources will continue searching, and volunteers may assist but will not be required to check-in.

Prayers for these three. I haven’t heard any updates in the past couple of days.

Wondering how the recent tornado a couple of hours north in Nashville has hindered any efforts for recovery. I am several hours south, but we are swollen with so much rain down here.

I was so hoping that a recovery would happen quickly so that the families could lay them to rest sooner rather than later.
