Aleisha Hill-Dodson, 29, escaped from Regional One Health around 2 p.m. Thursday. Dodson is diagnosed with illnesses that require medication. She stands at 5′2 and weighs about 109 pounds. Dodson has brown eyes, black dreadlocks and a dark complexion. She was last seen wearing a gray shirt and sweatpants with no shoes.

I find the choice of the word 'escape' somewhat strange here. Escape implies you were somehow prevented from leaving, but found a way out. You can sign out of an acute care hospital against medical advice. The hospital's website doesn't list any inpatient psychiatric care, such as a locked unit.

Memphis woman missing after walking away from Regional One

Memphis police are searching for a 29-year-old woman that walked away from Regional One in Downtown.

Officers say Aleisha Hill-Dodson has been missing since 2:00 Thursday afternoon.

Investigators tell FOX13 Aleisha requires medication.

I cannot find any new information for Aleisha. I am taking it that by escaping they mean that she did not wait around for AMA paperwork and she just walked out. I wonder what would have made her in such a hurry to leave and why she wasn't wearing shoes that seems odd to me. I hope that she has been found and is now in a safe place.
