I think those of us with boys on the spectrum can see certain things. Not certain of course but definitely similarities. Before I had this child I would have Never known.

Yes, I feel the same. I remember when my son began special education school as a 6 year old, I was amazed to see so many boys who had what I had formerly thought were facial expressions and mannerisms unique to him.

Investigators with the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office are searching a landfill in Kentucky where trash from missing 15-year-old Sebastian Rogers' neighborhood went.

NewsChannel 5 has learned that trash in the Stafford Court neighborhood is picked up every Monday between 5 and 6 a.m. and it was sent to that landfill.

So, all the trash from the neighborhood dumpsters — including the trash bin at Sebastian's home — was picked up and gone before the teen was even reported missing.

Officers are digging through trash at the landfill looking for any clues.

They don't know what they'll find, but say the search is part of leaving no stone unturned. There's the possibility some evidence was disposed of in the trash.

In the meantime, authorities were back at the family house on Thursday in the backyard appearing to take photos.

No one is giving up on the ongoing search for Sebastian.

But at the same time, authorities appear to be moving forward with a possible criminal investigation.

I think it is much tougher to tell if adults are autistic. The easiest ones for me to tell are boys.

Same. I hope they're just covering all of their bases, but can you get a warrant for something as major as a landfill search just on the basis of 'covering your bases?' I genuinely don't know.

There have been cases where as soon as LE was aware of a missing child, they had all garbage coming in from a certain area kept separate at the landfill from other incoming loads. Then they could search it as determined needed.

I hope that was done, so the job is easier. And am glad they are taking this step.

But hope and pray they find nothing.

I, personally, would not have noticed anything different, except perhaps a look of innocence, but I think it's natural for a parent or sibling of an autistic person to be more in tune with the nuances that might suggest the person is autistic.

I just hope Sebastian is okay, but with every passing day, that hope dims a bit.

I am, too. And, from what I understand -- statistically -- I think it's usually a family member if a child is harmed.

But, not in all cases, so I don't want to malign the parents although I don't have a good feeling right now.

Rogers’ parents spoke with WSMV and said he wasn’t in his bed in the morning before school on the day he disappeared. They also said he seemed to be in a good mood the night before his disappearance and had no reason to believe he would have run away from home.

The couple said they are thankful for the community’s help.
