FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — TBI has issued an AMBER Alert for a one-year-old child who has gone missing out of Franklin.

The child has been missing since February 27th.

Agents believe Aziah Lumpkin may be with his non-custodial father Sharles Lumpkin.

According to TBI, Aziah is 21 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The TBI said that Aziah Lumpkin was found safe Friday night in Nashville. They said his non-custodial father, Sharles Lumpkin Jr., was still at large and facing charges related to the disappearance. [SNIP] Sharles Lumpkin Jr., 29, faces especially aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault charges in connection with the disappearance.

The baby's non-custodial father, Sharles Lumpkin Jr., brought the child to the hotel room and allegedly assaulted the child's mother. Lumpkin then reportedly left the scene with the baby before officers arrived.

Officers obtained a warrant against Lumpkin for domestic assault, but the child's mother told officers she "felt the child was safe with his father," according to Franklin police.

The mother contacted police again Friday and reported that Lumpkin and the child had not been seen since the incident. Detectives then obtained a warrant against Lumpkin for especially aggravated kidnapping and requested the Amber Alert.

Lumpkin is 29, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 147 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
